Bruce inherited integrity from both his parents.
Doubt is a killer of relationships.
If his mother had not doubted his father's integrity, this would have been a different story.
Glad that Bruce got to know the truth and found his brother.
What a great job his adopted parents did. 🙏❤️
Great respect for adopted parents who give so much love to their adopted children. 🙏

This was so well done and so interesting! The twists and turns, the adoption journey, the man's heart attack, and the final resolution--all were almost beyond belief. This man's mother, back in Japan, opened a restaurant that she called BRUCE in honor of the son she'd given up for adoption. On and on, the pieces of the story unfolded, and every one added more surprises. And, not to put too fine a point on it, the narrator was excellent: a living, breathing human being. Most of these channels are awful, and the narrator isn't even alive: it's some horrible fake voice, maybe a robot, that pronounces most of the words incorrectly. I'm in shock: this was good! I may even subscribe. Kudos!

I have a cousin, Japanese American, fathered by my uncle under much the same circumstances. His Mother passed giving him very little information, we found each other through Ancestry but his father had passed years before. So very sad for so many. Bruce was fortunate to have had some time with his Mother.

A tear filled appreciation for the wonders of life experiences.
The Amish have a saying, "It wonders me."
I too have finally found my roots after many years. I am now 81. About ten years ago I discovered, through a cousin, that we were decedents of King Hagler (Nopkehee) who died in 1763 leader of the Catawba Nation in South Carolina. Although my ties to his daughter Jarmln goes back 9 generations, I still feel a bond with my ancestors.
    Blood does run deep.

This story touched me deeply. I too was adopted at birth. My birth mother had a cold when she delivered me, so we were in hospital for 5 days before I was delivered to a nurse who brought me to my adoptive parentsMy adoptive parents loved me very much and sacrificed everything to give me an excellent education, but they never told me I was adopted. Despite their love and kindness I always felt somehow disconnected. So in my late 40s I began to make inquiries about my birth. The nurse who brought me home told me the whole story. My adoptive mother was still living in NYC, while my husband and I lived near Stanford. Since I was pretty nervous about telling her that I knew that I’d been adopted, my husband, back East on business, visited her and told her. He said she seemed relieved to know that the truth was finally out. Over the next few months I worked out the anger and confusion I had felt, and realized how blest I had been by both of my mothers. I haven’t been able to track down my birth mother-but I’m ok with that. I feel that we’ll meet one day in heaven and can celebrate with my adoptive mom.

Many times they don't want to tell you because they fear you will feel hurt. And that is their way of protecting your feelings. I have 3 adopted cousins, 3 adopted nieces and a few adopted uncles.

My reasoning for not telling a child to be adopted is because i felt like you are pushing the child out and that would create a wall between you and the child. So if i were to adopt a child, i would always protect and give an assurance of love by not telling his/her of the adoption.

It’s an incredible love story, birth story and full circle reunion. I was adopted, found my mother and had her for just a little over a year. That time was a most precious gift to me! If possible, I don’t believe that states or lawyers should have the right to keep birth information from adoptees. It’s clear that it’s too important for people to know where they come from.

A mixed of beautiful story yet with sadness in some parts - indeed, finding your biological mother and met your half brother are what made this story beautiful. On the other side, knowing your biological father died before you meet him and for both your biological parents who haven't had the chance to share their life together, this is where I felt the sadness. However, maybe somewhere in another life, they are meant to be reunited. Thank you for sharing this story... It always reminds us that a LOVE of a MOTHER has no boundaries... Her love will always find what is missing... God bless you Mr. Bruce, Mr. Lois and your family...❤️😘👨‍👩‍👦😇🙏

Very nice story with a good ending. Unfortunately I know like 6 different Asian(Japanese, Korean, and Thai) people with similar stories, so Mr. Hollywood's story isn't very shocking to me. The closet identical story was my 11th Grade English teacher and retired veteran, She was a Korean-Adoptee, who after locating her birth mother outside of Seoul, South Korea learned that her biological father was a White-American military soldier who was stationed there at the time. The story goes, her father knocked up her mother, and than disappeared after 3 months, He came and He went. Her mother left her outside the orphanage door shortly after having given birth to her. According to my teacher, the Orphanage remembers putting her on priority to adopt her out only to White Couples, because even as an infant she had strong Caucasian features and no Korean would adopt a biracial child without everyone starring at the noticeable differences. So yeah, that was her story, I think my former teacher must be in her 60's now at least.

My.Mother was an illigitimate child from American soldier.
When the American air force guy left and promise my grandma that he is coming back to fetch her and the baby in her belly, thry lost the contact. My Grandmother didn't expect that he will comeback as he promised. He came back after a year, in a radio station looking for her and the child which a year old then. But my grandma lost her interest, brought the daughter alone and never get married to anyone.
My Mother grew up no interest searching her father Her father is also a only child and parents are very excited to have my grandma, but a year of no contact, my grandma decided not to meet them and just continue her life.
Shes just 17 yr old, graduated from college (accelerated) and a linguist, and they met because shes a translator in that camp.
Till today, my Mother is not interested to even have a DNA test, and just want to live a quiet life (sorry for my poor english)

My first cousin was a heroin addict and her baby girl was born addicted too. We took this poor baby when she was three
