    I picked up one of these ladders about three years ago when I was doing a project out of town. Probably one of the best ladders I ever bought. I have found that it make jobs easier and safer when using it. It’s tempting to buy another one to replace another older fiberglass ladder. Fiberglass ladders do have expiration dates on them. I one cut up three 40 ft. Fiberglass ladders at my last job. They were over 10 years old. They didn’t get used often, but when they did, they required at least three people to set up.

    That's a great deal. About 12 years ago I ordered my little giant 22 foot, with the scaffolding, and a couple perks and it cost me almost 800 bucks! The werner has a higher weight rating than mine, but that damn set up has paid itself off over and over. Anyone looking for a multipurpose ladder, that's the one to grab right now. Great price

    Probably the best video out there for the Werner Ladder, I just bought the 26ft ladder and it’s great but u haven’t used it all the way extended and was wondering if I can reach the second story of a home and I can see now I can cause you have a 22ft and yours reached to the fascia board so my should go atelast 2-3 feet over that once it’s leaned at a 70 degree angle, it’s crazy that RUclips doesn’t have a video of an A Frame Ladder and extended all the way like you showed, also quick tip if you don’t want to loose any fingers don’t ever let the ladder slide down while extended like that, I’ve seen it happened

    Obviously everyone has their own preferences so this is in no way a “you’re doing it wrong” comment. When adjusting the sizes of the A-frame I find it easiest if I unlatch and adjust one side at a time. I just keep the ladder standing upright, unhook the J-locks on one side and tilt the ladder. Gravity does pretty much all the work to extend the ladder, then I do the same for the other side. Thanks for the video!

    • @jeffostroff
      @jeffostroff  3 года назад +1

      Yes that is another good method. I still need more practice with it as this is a newer taller ladder for me, I have weak wrists and so reaching up high like that was a challenge for me.

    i have a question in the past when I've used these types of lads like little giants the are not the most comfortable and really dig into the shins is that werner any better?

    • @jeffostroff
      @jeffostroff  3 года назад +1

      Every ladder in the world digs into your shins, I hate ladders, but they are a necessary evil. When painting in my properties I like to us a scaffold, you don't have to be as careful with your balance and your horizontal reach is about 8 feet across left to right so you don't have to move the scaffold as often.

    Maybe the lower rung reinforcements are to protect from the lower tips of the inner sleeve?
    Alternatively, it may offer extra stability if lower section is only extended about 2 rungs worth?

    When I use the ladder as 22 foot full extension to get to roof, is it 5.5 feet distance from wall to bottom of ladder for safety?

    • @jeffostroff
      @jeffostroff  3 года назад +1

      The rule of thumb is stand with your feet at the bottom of the ladder, and your arms locked out straight until they touch the ladder, and that's the 54 degree angle off the ground that is recommended.

  • @jonb4763
    @jonb4763 4 месяца назад

    How do you do a ladder to roof transition as well as a roof to ladder transition with these? It seems the flared legs would get in the way and cause a person to unbalance the ladder.

    When you had it fully extended you def could have had it set back another foot or so for a better climbing angle. Looked to vertical and any lean back could have it come right off the roof. 4.1 ratio that didn’t seem right
