Kashedi Tunnel Progress | Mumbai Goa Highway | Kashedi Ghat Upgradation Project | July 2024

Mumbai Goa Highway or National Highway 66, referred to as NH 66 (rest while NH-17 and a part of NH-47), is a 4 lane 1,608 km (999 mi) long busy National Highway that runs the western coast of India, parallel to the Western Ghats. It connects Panvel (a city south of Mumbai) to Cape Comorin (Kanyakumari), passing through the states of Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.
This ghat is near Poladpur, on the Mahad to Khed section. It has a deadly curve, which make it one of the most difficult ghats in Maharastra. Twin tunnels will replace this ghat completely.
Here in this video, I have captured the current progress of this Kashedi Tunnel in July 2024.

So you mean due to this tunnel we can completely skip the Kashedi ghat? And what about return that tunnel is not ready?

Yes. We can skip the Kashedi ghat.
For ganpati festival they opened second tunnel. But after that they willl again close. As some internal work on tunnel is still pending. One tunnel is completed. And same tunnel is used for incoming and outgoing traffic.
