I got this intake. The stock air box plus KN drop in is better than this hot air intake in cold and hot weather.
I heard the factory airbox is the best intake setup with the k&n. Everything else just sucks in hot air . Even the relocated air filter doesn’t do a good job

does it work on a bmw 740li 2012 n54 engine but the engine looks exactly the same as this f10 and other 535i's
@nar - very good question, yes it will. You just have to order the one for your car from burger, ecs or any place online. It night be that n54 might have longer neck for intake.

You do notice some difference in sound. Is there a boost in HP. How much $ approximately.
@jphm Ramos - sound difference was very little as I have mppk and mpe. Not truly noticable
Where can I order this Berger filter from ?
nice intake but i don't like how the it leaves an open space around the intake whete the cover was. wish they woulda made the intake around the same size as the cover or some sort of lip around it to cover it up more to make it look more clean and fit
@tjames - couldn’t agree more. It is off the car now and thinking about going with afe as it has complete housing that gets replaced.
@@SheziMotorsport yessir AFE is the way to go. kinda expensive but they say it's worth it..haven't seen any dino updates after installing one to see if it actually makes a difference yet. let me know bro!!
@tjames - honestly speaking I don’t think mostly any intakes truly adds any hp where it makes a difference with other performance upgrades it could potentially help. And some increase the sound growl. If I do end up going towards afe will definitely make a install and review video. But at the moment plan is for charge pipe. Thanks
@@SheziMotorsport i agree with u 100% ..only said that cus AFEs website has dino results showing a 30hp difference before and after installing their intake lol. i think it's total bs tbh. looking forward to the vids tho bro
@@txddjames - no I get what u mean and at times I also wonder where those actual numbers come from that are listed by mfg and under what conditions. Pet of me wonder about the sound for afe intake and if truly worth it?
What about intake temperatures I am thinking that went up

Never put you body weight on an engine pretty much don’t do it on any under the hood, take frequent resting breaks your back will appreciate
dad works for bmw and we have to climb ontop of the bay sometimes it will be fine trust me

Wouldn’t have that on make it more risky for your car because more dust and water can get into the engine because that cover isn’t on anymore?
@Cdog924 - dust can get in but filter should play role to filter that out, if water gets that high I would think there would be other issues as well since this sits on top of engine.
