As far as i know, the assistance of a coach or a tool such as you demonstrated is directly against IPF rules. "Lifters may not have or use any form of assistance (from another person, or suit slippers, plastic bags, powder, etc.) to put on knee sleeves. Referees may ask lifters to demonstrate they can put on their sleeves without assistance."
Hey man, great review! Have you ever used any stiff knee sleeves that seems to be very popular recently, like Inzer Ergo Pros, Iron Rebel PRs or A7 Rigor Mortis ones? I have OG SBD sleeves, which are getting old and they are torn in multiple places, so I am trying to decide which ones to pick. I am hesitating between the new SBD ones and A7 rigor mortis.
Back when I started lifting I was broke so to be honest I’ve never tried anything other than the SBD ones. I’ve heard of Inzer and mostly all good things. Maybe I should pick up a pair and compare them. I was sponsored by SBD for a while so I had to wear their stuff to meets ect.
Honestly, quite disappointed when I got the new SBDs, the stiffness was less than the older SBDs (OG) and way lesser than the stiff knee sleeves like Inzer. Not worth the premium in them.
Can u do accessory work in the stiff sleeves like Inzer? Or is it literally just for the few heavy sets of squats and then you have to take it off cos its uncomfortable? I am thinking about A7 rigor mortis ones, but if its unusable for anything else but heavy squatting, it might be better to get those new SBD ones as they seem much more comfortable.
I believe they could have been a little cheaper for sure. They still feel premium and I’m sure they aren’t cheap to make either but they feel somehow “less” than the original
Appreciate the insight. I feel like these are a lateral or marginal improvement over the older OG SBDs. Wouldn’t be a big deal but at like $130 shipped it would be hard to recommend.
looking to buy my first pair of sleeves, I like the design of the inzers a lot but I saw SBD just came out with these, they cost less and are more widely available for me atm but not sure what to do tbh
I’m not 100% sure of SBDs return policy but it wouldn’t hurt to buy these and see how you like em. What size are you? I’ve got an extra pair of smalls I can send to you. They are the OG ones not the new. They are grey and navy blue. Lemme know
I've actually been using these for a while now and I love them. At first I think I was just used to the older version but these are much better. Just took me a little to get used to. Better for longer sessions.
I'm only 4'11 so you might be ok. SBD has a great return policy Items may be exchanged for a different size, provided they are returned to us within 30 days from receiving the goods. The customer will be responsible for the postage of and the safe return of the goods. An additional postage and packaging charge for the exchange item, at the relevant rate, may apply. In all instances, goods must be returned as new, with no blemish, defect or parts missing, and preferably still in its original packaging. Items may be tried on for sizing, but not used for a workout. so you should only lose the shipping cost. Let me know how they go for you
@@jonathangarcia633 I definitely think the large was the right choice for me. It was a struggle getting them on and they feel nice and tight. I appreciate your insight. I can’t wait to try them on squats tomorrow!
That bell contraption you have on your squat rack is actually genius
Thanks bro. Low tech but very effective

Appreciate the honest review! I have the A7 rigor mortis and like the shape on them the most out of all the stiff knee sleeves
You’re welcome! I’ll always be honest on any product I review, you guys deserve it
Awesome review! You gotta get yourself some of the new stiff sleeves from other brands and do such a review with them too!

Hey thanks! No I haven’t, are they any good?
@@jonathangarcia633 theyre along the line of new stiff knee sleeves. Wanted to check something other than Inzer or A7
@@iHoffman93 I’d like to get a set of every stuff sleeve out there and test all of them in a video
@@jonathangarcia633 That would be a godsend if you did. Keep up the great work!
I just fold sleeves in half and use lifting straps to pull them in place, then just unfold.

@@jonathangarcia633 Hola, después de este tiempo recomendarías comprar la nueva versión o la de 2013, ya que ambas están disponibles en el website?
Can you share the link for that knee sleeve assistance? I usually use a men’s dress sock.
I've check over and over but I don't think they're still in business. I cant find their site anymore.
Aw yiss new video 🔥

Great review 👍🏽
Glad you liked it
Jonathan what about Inzer knee sleeves people talk they are way better than SBD!
I’ve never used them before. I very rarely see anyone in the IPF use them at meets. At least not in the US. I have to get me some to compare them.
