over three thousand words in a day is very much.. I would suggest trying a different approach which I too use. Write a chapter in a week from start to finish of around 5K words. But that chapter should be complete, you can then send it out to any friend to read and make changes on the chapter if you feel like. But if you work this way, you would be able to complete the first/second/third draft in a timely manner.
