Will a resistor not help for the other leds to last longer?
The way you do it is also very good, but it's only temporary. I have a way to replace the LED chip to help the light bulb last longer and look like new! Thanks ❤
Then you too should show us! At least you could tell us!
The other LEDs will conk off soon as the potential difference will not be equally divided, thereby putting excess burden on the other LEDs!!!
absolutely true
What happens if you test your claim by destroying all but one LED and reconnecting all other terminals in this way. The single LED remaining should blow, should it? Let's try it somebody! Lol.
And “conk out soon” is how soon? Might still be worth it.
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊1@@gideonlapidus8996😂
There are metallic tapes available that have conducting adhesive on one side.Just cut apiece and stick to shorten two ends of defective LED.
My nephew should learn this and stop asking me for money!
Why not simply solder it over? But nice trick!
Thank you )
Same thought here ...direct solder is more safe instead of using copper and wiretap which can cause heat on the copper
The petting at the end. "That's a good light bulb." LOL. Thank you!
Ll
thanks pro
Must be having alot of free time on your hands.
Yep, so what! What business is it of yours? Being judgmental of others will get you nowhere!
@r.martin3494 like i care what you think.
It’ll NEVER be patented….. they NEED US TO BUY MORE BULBS!!!!
Nice idea to just replace led with a new connection.
Where is the Spring you mention in your Title?
Or is the coiled copper wire you made the spring?
Fair enough.
Or why not use a soldering iron ? Would that not be more safe at least lol
Thank you for sharing, great video.
Thanks, McGiver, but I'll just spend the $4 and buy a new one.
I will just buy a new one. It is frequently on sale for $3.99 for 4 pcs/box.
Not where I live!
As cheap as bulbs are just buy another
Exactly! Your time is worth something.
Have none of you heard of, hobbies!
Just paint across with conductive paint job done
Might that not been too thin to cope with the voltage/amps?
Gilligans island professor...just buy a new bulb
Get screwed not bayonet! Lol
It's not patented because it's dangerous, could burn your house down and kill you. Can you imagine Karen trying to repair her bulb because she saw it on RUclips?
I'm pretty sure LED lights and springs are both patented
Nice!
Good ide
Thanks 🤝🔥
Amazon sells them for 50 cents…..
u just have to put solder to contact the led !!
Just make sure to use solder to fix those LED bulbs! 💡👍
Where’s the spring? 😳
I hope the rub was for good luck and not to turn it on
Or you could just buy another bulb instead of doing a hack that might burn your house down.
Agree 💯
Lol! So funny
So right. Or give yourself a nice shock
You seen the price in stores and supermarkets of these bulbs? Good idea for some of us below the poverty line..eating sell by date food half price..or stolen from the scrap food rubbish bin outside the store in the alley at night..watching RUclips tips on my 2008 free PC..
⁹I will try it l@diannetomlinson-smith4062
The twezzer tape bit get's old
Actullay he's no McGyver but s hand model. St 1:45 see he taped the tweezers closed then miraculously they appeared spread apart.
That fake green grass must be the most horrendous surface to work on.
Catches the bits
How to spend an hour dicking about, risking electrocution, to end up with a piece of crap that's a safety risk and a potential for hazard
Ive done this before. Eventually bulb will fail as more current is put through remaining led's.
Does the fact that they can be fixed mean the bulbs are engineered to fail?
The companies involved admitted this long ago. In USA, in a museum there's one of Thomas Edison's original light bulbs which has been alight since year 1901AD. If turned off, I'm not sure it would survive cooling and relighting. I'm sure it must be set up now not to have the power cut, there must be a generator back up with all kinds of tech to keep the flow stable, or that's what I imaging, but knowing this world there's probably a janitor with a broom handle to ward off people if they get too close to the light switch because noone though of protecting it until after it's accidentally turned off for good. "The "Hubble" space telescope needed spectacles"!😊 committee got together and set a life period standard, if not they were not making enough money out of it.
Designed obsolescence
Just short the soldering points.
🎶 I say no no no ain’t gonna be shocked waved I say no no no 🎶
Click bait… the spring is for making suckers click
Not a good idea. This could cause things to melt when connection breaks away. Best to either replace the socket with a new one that doesn't have a pushed down hot tab or get a bulb with a base that will reach. Doing what he is doing will cause arking and an unintentional fire....
Another good fix i have done is to pull up on center tab that makes contact with the hot part of the bulb(the bottom) 90% of time that piece has been pushed down from changing bulbs multiple times.
Why should it being pushed down cause a failure, surely only pulling apart would?
Melt? Well this is why he Superglued the ends of the electrical tape as that tape is terrible and always has been when the adhesive goes all sticky very quickly really. They really should address that tape adhesive make it better. The old fabric tape of the 1900's was better as was the fibrous sticky builder's corking for exterior use! It lasted for a century or more; 'forever'!
How to blow your hand off in several easy steps
Given my hourly rate I'll opt for just buying a new bulb vs spending at least a hour of my time doing this hack crap. Dumb.
Nothing new
Buy another globe.
October 1879, Edison had made a bulb with a carbonized filament of uncoated cotton thread that could work for 14½ hours!
-
At that rate, we would all need bigger wheely-bins for the recyclable parts! From that 14½ hours he took it to the "100 year light bulb thats still running". However, dont forget this is without the wear & tear of being turned on and off during most of this 100 years! It might have last you or I only 40 years!! 😅
Frankly, I'd want my money back!
This is a very BAD idea. The bulb design is created for each led emitter to take a portion of the internal power supply's output. Once this is done, you are overpowering the remaining led emitters. With this hack, and 'hack' is the key word here, it can easily create a very hot spot since the connection is taped, and not soldered, and the tape WILL not remain tight over time. I hope No-one follows this very bad idea. It is not recommended by any electrical safety agency.
Surely we know this already. But you're right there should be a warning. Someone here wrote; "Use sticky tape especially made to pass current", so no need for the coil of wire how about that?
@terryneu3456 Useless "hack"!? You might not think so if stuck at a facility, alone in Antarctica, with a Yeti or two knocking on the window topside and aliens in the basement! -And worse; Majestic 24s men in black with black puffer jackets (probably Gortex) chasing you! 😅
Can't patent what you disclose before filing 😂
Patents are for USEFUL ideas. This is a useless hack at best
Surely you can! When you have proof of the date you invented it? Like with the arts and music! Stolen intellectual property!
@terryneu3456 useless!? You might not think so if stuck at a facility alone in Antarctica with a Yeti or two knocking on the window topside and aliens in the basement!
@@r.martin3494proof of date or not, you keep confidential until you file.
@@r.martin3494 you're confusing patents and copyright. Two completely different things...
More rubbish. Lets simplify this; any conductor can be used to create a circuit, so i suppose the producers of these types of mind numbing, time wasting poo have many a video to make 😮
lots of people live in 3rd world countries or very poor, we see a lot of eastern Europe videos for DIY repairs that people in the west (US, Canada, and even Most if the UK) would not bother as replacing it is cheap. I follow a Russian or Ukraine that does Video Card repairs that would cost more in labor in the west then some of the cards themselves, but their economies are different then ours. Also it's a dead giveaway when there is no one speaking good English or it's a computer voice
It is temporary! Why to waist the time.
Quicker and safer to just get a new one
Tankey sey short kar day aisey drama bazi kar raha hy.
Crap like this should be banned it's stupid. Without the light emitting diode power going through the copper (spring) can cause the tape to catch on fire. No one try this and actually use that bulb please
How to possibly die for a bulb
ń😊bubbbubb
You know you could have just round filled the build
What?
@@r.martin3494 lol it an old saying through it in the garbage. bulbs are so cheep just get a new one
WHY 😂
I have never seen a person unscrew s light bulb so slow mut be a woman haha lol
Why the hell would you go through all that work and risk yourself being electrocuted when you can buy a led bulb from the dollar store.
Lol ya thought same coz its dangerous and a new bulb takes only screwing in a new bulb why is it not patented😂
IT SEEMS LIKE A LOT OF WORK, FOR A 50.CENTS NEW GLOBE.
Light a candle😅
But it's unlikely this will burn your house down the capacitors will burn up before anything and unlikely burn your house down you have a better chance of a inconvenience burning your house down
W T F
FAKE
I'd just buy a new light bulb. Way too much work
