I had the distinct privilege of seeing Edgar live last night as part of the Unchained Tour in Asheville, NC. Absolutely amazing storytelling from an absolutely amazing man. Wow. Just wow.
Edgar was kind and gracious enough to sign my copy of "The Sheltering Sky" after I caught one of his New York shows.
i love this guy he is a genius. such a refreshing person to listen to and watch, hes not the same old thing he is a true original and true to himself. wonderful story as well.
His voice!! I mean, come on, it just makes me smile. Like a lullaby :)
eccentric, intriguing, humorous and a true artist, bravo!!!!! a true bohemian
I adore Edgar. He`s has a beautiful personality
This guy had me
rolling... very very entertaining!
God bless this man.
he's great ! its feels like he's hypnotizing me.
he should write books about his childhood and life
It's a crying shame that Edgar didn't have the chance to share his bizarre 'stoned by children' encounter to Paul Bowles. Perhaps a tale to regale in the hereafter...
what a hoot!
This guy is amazing. Anyone know where I can find more of his performances?
i want him to read "The Raven" to me :3
Genius
It's driving me nuts - his voice sounds like some classic horror movie character from way back, but I can't figure out who. Anyone know? It's like an impression.
His face reminds me a little of Peter Lorre, but the voice is similar to Boris Karloff (Frankenstein's Monster and the Mummy)
Vincent Price
The thing is is this all real or is it made up. IF it's fake then he is very convincing. IF not then he had a very strange life. Also if it's all from his past then it's interesting how you can learn so much about him as you listen to his stories.
Edgar 1976 Paris rue St Dominique, up six floors to that garret, there was you, Nadine, the Country Girl from Cape Cod and Helen...I only had eyes, ears and hands for Helen Carson Oliver... you seemed to be made of straw. Were you really related to Carson Mccullers?
That must have been a hell of a bedspread! hahaha
BALLSSSS
PETER LORRIE
Never thought he was gay??? I knew when he said his first word....
ohhhhhhhhhh dear lord i need a bedspread like paul balls and jasons step dads.. forget being stoned by chiiiiiildren!!
I never thought he was gay. I never took him as such.
Wa3ypx I own a “gaydar” shop in the village. Stop by some time and let me have a look at yours. Something is way off.
He’s totally fabricated, along with his birthday. And his sister’s art awful. That’s just the truth of it. But, his “persona” is entertaining
Everyone is fabricated. We are born with nothing.
It is not fabricated. Look him up.
