This set is roughly the same age as one of my cousins, though I'm not sure what month in 1992 this was released. The color of tan wasn't used by Lego until 1995 (1998 for System sets), so that's why there was a lot of yellow in the earlier Pirates sets. Some parts in yellow, such as the 3x1x3 1/3 53-degree slope w/studs, which only came in one set from "Aquazone" (6195) after this. The 3x3 facet wedge brick in yellow was also in another Aquazone set (1822) in '95, and a "Dino" set (5886) in 2012. The 1x6x2 arch brick in that color had been in use since 1972, but was retired in 2007, after appearing in an "Aqua Raiders" set (7775) that year. The 2x5x6 printed wall panels in this set were also never seen outside of the Pirates theme...
