I was just recommended this place yesterday on an Ohio ATV group. I loved this video and how you went in depth on the towns and restaurants and stuff that’ll help plan my trip! My question to you though is are you aloud to ride the ATV/UTV in all of the towns that the trails go through? Or is there some that are a no go
You can ride any sxs or atv at tecumesh trails no restrictions on sizes, I happen to live few miles from these locations pretty popular area for all riders!
Awesome job, our truck is showing in the far back of the lot at White Oak. We got in 70 miles the same weekend of this video. Its a great place for families with younger riders or the Putt Putt Crowd which I am a card carrying member.
It’s been so long since I got to ride and camp down there man I miss it. Used to go to Williams and Camp Oh right there off 595 I went in the store at Williams I said what kind of beer ya have ? She said anything ya want as long as it’s Miller light 😆 I said okey doke a case of ML it is. That looks so fun, we were on bikes back in the late 90’s when I rode a lot down there I’m so homesick for those woods. My Grandma lived in Pomeroy so Nelsonville was 1/2 way between home and there lol. Yep you guys are in my training grounds when I raced enduro in the days of Dick Burleson etc. Ed Lojack and all the crazies
I have a 2017 500 with just over 7K on it all I do is trail ride. I put walker Evans shocks on it at around 1k they up the suspension travel to 7.9 of travel and they make the ride a 1000 time better. Also put 27-inch tires and 1-inch spacers I am 55 inches wide but no restriction here.
I bought the pioneer 520 in June of this year because of 50 inch trails and reliability but you are definitely right about the ride being rough,I am planning on putting walker Evans shocks on it because they help it ride 1000 times better I hear but they are 1,400 dollars I might have to sell my house to purchase them lol
If you don’t mind, let us know how things look. Last time down, a Ranger told us they were having problems keeping Jeeps off the trails and we actually found a Jeep broken down, blocking the trail. The ruts we found were a bit much for a 50” machine. Hopefully they’ve done some maintenance! 😎
Wow your 50" trails are more like 72", in Michigan, a 50" trail is 50" at best, sometimes your scraping the fenders on a 4x4 utility quad, to get through trees.
So I know Wayne national is a 50" width restriction place, but to me it looks so much wider. I wonder if my 50" machine with 2" wheel spacers would actually fit.... hmm
Probably.. most 50" gates are under 54" wide... if its a tight fit spray WD40 around the tire and pump them up hard 20+psi. They'll slide through.. Be ready for a ticket if you're caught. 🙄
There is the new straightsville loop which should be Ok. I want to say it's 3miles long. It's right by begley camp ground. But there are some hills and mud the little 50-90cc machines will struggle with on the main trail. I think you could ride around the Williams camp ground area as well.
I’m from SE Ohio and it’s too bad they don’t allow machines over 50 inches. The amount of revenue they could generate for the state and local businesses would be fantastic.
Exactly, HMCT in W,Va is an equipment show every weekend... Probly drop 10K a year down there riding, x10 years running... "THEY" in Columbus missed the boat with Jesse Owens state park, COULD have been the start of something legit but no...
I was just there April 27-29, 2022. We stayed near Monday trailhead. The trails we found were nothing like what is on the video. We went in at Monday trailhead and it was rut city it was so bad that I wouldn't go back the way I came from. I found some trash on the trail which told me a truck hauled it in and followed the garbage out to an old prison. From there we rode the road back. They say those trails are for hikers, horseback, and ATV. There's no way a hiker or a horseback rider would be in there not worth getting hurt.
Its OHIO man, what did you expect. Ohio is pure drug trash state. We even had a serial killer that killed 5 or 6 girls in this town back in 2016-ish timeframe.. a town mind you... of about 20,000 people. Big city trash crime in small town america.
Thanks for the video. I rode some of those trails yrs ago. I was born in Nelson ville, but live in Florida now. No hills down here to climb, bummer.
Great video! Glad you enjoyed Wayne National Forest and our little Appalachian communities

Great job, we stay there multiple times a year

Awesome video. Thanks for the restaurant recommendations and excellent display of the different trail heads👍

Great video. I'm just bummed I can't go here with my Jeep. I guess we'll stick with Tar Hollow
Good video. Very informative.

Smooth video, what camera did you use?
The wife and I are heading to hanging rock this weekend to do a little riding and camping. Hopefully it is in good shape.

Trails were not to bad. They have definitely cleaned up the brush that would beat you to death last year.
I’d like to ride with your group. My buddy and I just bought new atvs, I’m 7 miles from the hanging rock trail head.

What’s an address for the parking area? I’m having trouble finding one
Are there trails suitable for an ADV bike like Tiger 900 Rally?
We’re from Michigan, so we need to purchase Ohio Orv stickers as well? Thanks.
Yes, I don't think Ohio recognizes Mi registrations anymore
@@stang1970 yep not anymore unfortunately.
How are they down there in respect to youth atv's? Do you see much of that around or is it mostly the kids ride on a 2-up or sxs with the adult?

how do you find your way around? Is there an app there for it?
Does your bike have to be street legal to go to ride on the road in new straitsville
No.
@@buckeyetrailblazers5861 ok so I can take my 9 year old on his crf125f on the road?

Guess I'm not going I have a Polaris General👎
Sure wish WNF would give dirt bikers some single track and separate us from the quads. Quads and SxS’s take up the whole trail and it’s UNSAFE
Thumbs up but man i can't listen to this music.
This, every RUclips video has this OVERLY LOUD annoying ass music on it.
Why? ... I have no fucking clue.
music selection was terrible
