    Thank you so much for your video.I like the idea of the Q tips for the eye lid massage.Do i have to buy a certain sterile glove to put on before i use the Qtip?Iam using a soft microfiber heated to put on my eyes.I believe that my blood pressure med and stress has contributed to this dry eye condition.

    No one has mentioned Tea Tree body wash, Tea Tree shampoo, Tea Tree facial wash, and Tea Tree facial serum. You need to treat every inch of your body until you get the condition under control. Plus I removed all facial hair fuss so the treatments could get directly into my pores. In addition to using Tea Tree products, I also used OCuSOFT Lid Scrub and eye drops for dry eyes. My eyes are almost free of blepharitis symptoms and getting better daily, and the occasional pimples are gone, too. I started this regiment a week ago. My eyesight has improved, too. (I do use the warm eye compass occasionally.)

      Hi. I have had keratoconus for over 20 years and recently on the recommendation of a doctor I have been using something similar to this and eye drops called optive vision. Within a week my eyes were a lot less sensitive to light and a lot of the distortion in my eyes had gone. Hope this helps.

    I woke up one day , with dry eye all a sudden.
    Makes no sense.
    A couple months went by i started having very bad vision issues.
    Seeing double , seeing halos around lights. Could t even read letters anymore up close.
    I finally got with an eye specialist a few weeks back , they said i had "dry eye' , to use compresses and wash my eyelids EVERYDAY because i had dandruf on them.
    I use preserve free eye drops 100 times a day for weeks.
    Changed my eating, exercising , changed everythinf.
    Im still going through it, except my vision is perfect again now , my right eye is almost 100% healed
    My left is still gettting pretty dry.
    But the past week, i started using baby shampoo and wash my eyelashes 2 times a day , and do compresses a few times a day.
    Also started omega3 a few weeks back.
    The past couple days , i can feel it gettting better by the day. Little by little since i actually started washing them.
    I even started a fill body detox just a few days ago.
    Maybe a combination of all that is starting to help w.e the root xause may be.

    I did something stupid and re-used daily contact lenses but soaked in solution. My vision became blurred and eye was stringing after 2-3 months. I went to the hospital and was prescribed antibiotic drops Oftaquix and Evolve Carmellose. I have used for 3 days but it seems my right eye is more blurred. I bit worried it won't heal. Can someone explain why my eyes were blurred to begin with and what happens gradually in the healing process?

    Conflicting evidence: Another site recommeds using the compress for only 3 minutes. I kind of agree as after 5 minutes of use the compress appears to be cold and I wonder if it is allowing the oils to solidifying again? I found it seems to lose heat a lot quicker than you say. I was also recommended - by an optician - to massage tea tree oil into the lids after the compress. Different advice from different sourrces.

    • @suyung58
      @suyung58 3 года назад +2

      Now i was told on Wednesday 16th June to apply the hot compress for at least 10 mins several times a day. Get the type that you heat in the microwave for 25 secs and retains its heat long enough to keep the oils soft. I decided myself to apply tea tree oil mixed with olive oil yet ive now read this evening NEVER use tea tree oil in the eye only around the eye. Since ive been using this my eye is very much worse sorer and redder. So i dont know now? GP wouldn't see me so i ended up luckily seeing an optician that did eye care. I was advised to massage the bottom lid immediately after applying the compress. Hoping things improve as atm def not.

    • @the-body-doctor

      Hi, BodyBeads are made from medical grade silica. They absorb moisture from the air and then, when heated, release this moisture onto your eyelids for a more effective treatment. BodyBeads also last nearly double the life span of other commercially available compresses. Hope this helps.

    Can someone PLEASE help me. For 7 years I’ve been dealing with horrible symptoms. My doctor says it is MGD but dry eye isn’t really my main issue. My left eye, for 7 years, has felt SO uncomfortable. It feels like something is in my eye, or like there is a knot or bump on my eye. Hot compresses do nothing. Does anyone else have this symptom? It is completely maddening and it’s all I can think about. It’s difficult to ignore since it’s my damn EYE!

    • @the-body-doctor
      @the-body-doctor  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Nathan, MGD and the symptoms are you suffering with are common (and very frustrating!). You mention how hot compresses don't work however we would recommend The Eye Doctor Premium hot compress (available at Independent Opticians or Boots Pharmacy). This is clinically proven to work and guaranteed to reach the correct temperature for an effective treatment. The Eye Doctor Premium will melt the oils blocking the glands and take the knot /bump on your eye right down. If you use our product twice a day for 2 weeks, your condition should be treated. We recommend using some Eye Doctor Lid Wipes or Lid Cleaner after hot compress to clean your lids / lashes. Good eyelid hygiene is key to treating MGD. Please let us know how you get on or if you have any questions. The Body Doctor ltd.

He diagnosed MGD but apart from the uncomfortable feeling when I blink I have not had any other symptoms like white spots or sticky red eyes so I’m wondering if he has misdiagnosed me 🤔 I purchased the expensive eye doctor eye mask but the beads feel heavy over my lids. I’m worried incase this mask doesn’t work and I massage the eye incorrectly. I suffer anxiety so I overthink everything and worry more than most people. How are you now?

With that being said, if the discharge from your eyes is colored/green, you need an antibiotic either by mouth or drops. Go to this site and use the "contact us" form to request a sample at www.blephadex.com. They asked me what brand I was thinking of switching from and I just chose one from their list!

After that, we recommend replacing with a new one. Effective treatments for Blepharitis include The Eye Doctor Eyelid Wipes, Cleansers and our brand new Hypochlorous Acid Eyelid Spray to reduce bacteria on the lids and lashes that can be responsible for some of the dry, sore, gritty eye symptoms. Absolutely brilliant. Highly recommended.
    I had tried everything including Hot potatoes in a sock, green tea bags and apple cider viniger. Nothing worked. 7 months later and I'd got rock hard lumps under my top eye lids. I thought I'd have to have them surgically removed.
    I got another lump under my lower lid so whent back to the Doctor, I saw a different Doctor and explained my woes and tea bag remadies.
    She told me to use a commercial product.
    I bought this from Boots.
    It got rid of the new lump over night. It's taken two weeks now for the old lumps to reduce in size but now they've all but gone. The Doctor said to keep using it for two weeks after.
    I put it in on at night and first thing in the morning after washing my eyes in soapy warm water. Put the mask in the microwave for 30 seconds or you can use your oven

I suffer anxiety and I’m feeling quite worried to be told I have bumps under both lids, which is MGD (no white bumps though and no sticky or redness) - does this sound like MGD? I need to wear this eye doctor mask twice a day for 2 weeks. I tried first time today over one lid but the beads push down on my lid which I find uncomfortable. Is this normal? I don’t like covering my eyes either. Reading about the blurriness too is concerning incase it’s permanent. I overthink everything but can’t be too careful when it comes to eyes. If I don’t have MGD then the mask may not work anyway 😖

    HELP!! I wore individual false lashes with a new glue from target. 5-6 on the right eye and 3-4 on the left. The lashes were unsealed in my drawer for few year. I bought a new glue from target. I put them on and second day of wear my eyelids itched so bad. Third day in the morning I woke up my right eyelid swelled. I removed them. From then my eye started to act up. My eyes inner corner bottom lid would swell strangely and puffy, gave my skin a thick wrinkled effect. Then it would go away. Then my right eye, the skin from my brow to underneath my eye all got red then scaled. From then on my eye keep swelling every 1-2 week. Dairy like ice cream or sugar would just make it swell too. Or if oils from my skin went into my eye it would swell. This has never happened to me in past, ever since the lashes. I though I got an eye infection/pink eye from lashes that will go away on its own but it didn't. After 2 months, I went to a eye doctor he said use ocusoft wipes it will go back to normal. my eyes didn't react well and I went to him again. He gave me another wipes that had tea tree oil and coconut oil. My eyes had better reaction to it. However, my eye still did end up swelling. Went back to him and he told me to use the ocusoft again. At this point, while I was using this wipe I felt sharp pain in my inner rim. It burned and stinged and I thought I cut my inner rim. Days later, my lashline felt heavy and painful, irritated, inflamed. I had unbearable pain. My whole eye felt sore. It burned and stinged. It hurt to touch my brow bone. The area where I put the lashes had a bump, and it was painful and numb to the touch. Even my lashes hurt to touch. My eyelid crease hurt, hurt to blink, swollen, puffy, felt heavy. Felt like waking up to pink eye everyday. I went to another doctor he said i had allergic reaction to glue and said i have allergic conjunctivitis. Gave me steriod drop and after 2 weeks. Brought down the inflammation by 50%. I was still in pain and he said everybody reacts different and I need to give it time to heal. He said can take 3mo to 1 year. I couldn't take the pain as I have to go to work. Went to another doctor he said I have low grade infection. He prescibed oral antibiotics for 2 weeks and antibiotic eyedrops for 2 weeks. My eye felt more softer, the bump got less painful, and i was able to touch my lash and brow again and my middle eye crease pain/swelling went down. However not 100%, still have discomfort. So, he put me on the oral antibiotics for another 2 weeks. I'm currently taking. Major improvement, However, there is still inflammation in my eye that's causing the discomfort. I want this inflammation gone 100%. Does this sound like a stubborn eye infection ? I thought maybe this is all caused by stress ? Maybe I have posterior blephoritis ? Is it possible out no where to have it ? I had doctors check my glands, they say its open. I tried to secrete it and the oils came normal clear very thin. Is it an allergic reaction just getting better with time ? Was it bacteria that antibiotics got rid of and now the infammation is going down but taking its time because I waited long time to get correct treatment? My doctor said if 1 in 5 docs check my eye they will say I have blephortits because of my symptoms, but looking at my eye its hard to tell. I need help! Is it possible to go in remission with blephoritis an get rid of inflammation.

      @@suyung58 Sorry to hear! Did you get a style or chalazion? I hope you heal soon! The eye is such a sensitive area! I have healed tremendously, thank you for asking! :) What happened was I got an eyelid/eye infection or possibly allergic reaction. Whatever the case, if it was the eye infection, I'm thinking it was the lashes but maybe it was the mask ? I did research and saw many people got eyelid infection from masks. Not only have I had a tough recovery, but I got 2 ear infection and 1 sinus infection this year, I'm guessing from the masks or stress and low immunity from recovering 🤦‍♀️ Anyhow, what happened is when I started to feel pain it's because the dr that told me to use ocusoft wipes, was a big no. First my eyelid skin got a chemical burn which is why it was stinging so bad, the skin is still healing, it has been so flaked and its gotten better as I see new skin coming in. Also, my nerves got injured from rubbing with these harsh wipes! And what upsets me is I went to this dr saying I got sharp pain and blue bruising around my eyes while using this wipe, and he told me to still use the wipes! He said otherwise it will keep swelling. And it was swelling because of the nerve injuring! 🙄 Anyhow, I found a very nice lady eye doctor that said don't touch your eyes, your nerves need to regenerate. Thank God I feel much better, the pain is gone. However, I will wait many more months before I consider wearing eye makeup again. And at this point I'm okay with it as long as my anxiety is gone and I know I will heal. And I'm sure you will heal too in time 💞

    This looks like it may help dr hillary ! I've been told johnsons baby shampoo mix in warm water can help, is it ok to do!

    • @the-body-doctor

      New research shows that Baby Shampoo and warm water is not an ideal treatment. You will see much greater results using a clinically designed hot compress like The Eye Doctor instead. Hope this helps.

      Wilhelm Krem 80% gone i think if you change the habbit the body also change but if you dont change it fast it will take even longer time whats i notice is that if you have dry eye with the same habbit for like a week and got dry eyes it will talk around 3-4 months to go away and i have its for 3 months then i change my habbit to use less screen and sleep like 7:00 pm and wake up at 5 am and you know what its better every day my eye surface now is not like a dry egg skin anymore i think around February 2020it will be gone completely according to my experience
      So do it now before its too late

    Can anti androgens such as finasteride and Dutasteride cause MGD?

    • @phee3D
      @phee3D Год назад

      I believe no clinical trial have shown any ocular adverse effects. When it comes to finasteride there is lots of conflicting information about the side effects so the only real way to check is to read the results of a big clinical trial, such as the one done by FDA

    I find the mask doesn't fit close enough to the eyes . I find that the heated beads have to be moved around by massaging the beads .

    Video good for Dry Eye and Blepharitis. However, I can see your patient also has Dermodex in her eyelash follicles which needs a different treatment. She will not get rid of the Dry eye problem while she has the Dermodex untreated

    • @indigoblue4me
      @indigoblue4me 6 лет назад

      MrsGranpaws where do you see the Dermodex?
      I'd like to know how to recognise this, please.

    • @ugk26
      @ugk26 6 лет назад +1

      You can't see demodex with a slit lamp, you need a high powered electron microscope. The flakes could be dandruff from dry skin. Unless you remove a follicle and view it under a microscope, you can only assume.

      How do you steam? I've been suffering with MGD really badly again after a horrendous time (I haven't had it for nine years). I would be grateful for any info. My opthalmologist is worried that the mask is too hot. Plus recent research has looked into damage being caused by too high a temperature xx

    You don’t have to eat fish for omega 3 because flax seeds & chia seeds have a lot of omega 3 so do hemp seeds & other plant based foods
    Fish has mercury & is a product of cruelty & is terrible for the environment
    We’ll run out of fish in the ocean if we keep going like this

    This is the problem with Allopathic medicine. Treating the problem. you need to find the cause and cure it. 9 times out of 10 problems with eyes have to do with leaky gut/stomach issues that can lead to your Liver.
