Nicola - I think you are a wonderful flosstuber. I enjoy the fact that you are real. You don't churn out projects as though you have nothing but time to sit and stitch. Your projects are what catches your fancy and may or may not be the newest releases. I am beginning to find that so many flosstube channels are about creating fomo. I do not feel that watching you. You inspire me to keep working at my pace and not feel I am somehow failing because I don't finish multiple projects a week. Stitching is supposed be fun, relaxing and a creative outlet. I have missed you and maybe you need to feel good about posting maybe once a month instead every week or two. You have a lot to offer! Thanks for taking it on!

I’ve just unsubscribed from a few podcasts I’ve watched for years because I feel pressured / overwhelmed / less than by watching massive hauls and a massive amount of projects and that’s not sustainable in my life. I don’t need give aways or hauls or new projects all the time, when I watch your channel I feel like I’m chatting with a friend. I’d love to see you when you have time however often that is. I like to see Alfie play and I’d like to see some footage of you sewing and your machine. I only own vintage machines so anything computerized is fascinating to me. If it appeals to you, maybe viewers can share project photos with you and you can share them on your podcasts, that’s a way to show different content with less pressure

Always enjoy seeing all your stitching and quilt progress, however small. I'm a monogamous stitcher myself, I get stressed out if I have more than one project on the go. Flosstube videos don't have to be long for me to enjoy them . I feel our stitching progress shouldn't be put under pressure, it's a hobby that we stitchers enjoy, and find relaxing 😊❤

I really like your videos, you are my kind of stitcher. I think most of us don't have unlimited budgets to buy everything. I am retired and 76 years young, I keep four or five WIPS going just to keep things interesting and I stitch what I have kitted. Please keep doing your videos, you do a great job. I think quality not quanity is the perfect balance. 😊

I do so hope you continue with your flosstubes! I have totally enjoyed them! Being from the States, you have shared a bit of life across the pond, & it's been delightful! I've enjoyed seeing the English countryside, your charming accent, as well as your lovely finishes. You've inspired me to try new ways of finishing & different designs. I like that you seem real. Life gets in the way for us all at times, but your videos have kept me going through some challenging days. I have dropped some subscriptions, as they overwhelm me. Too much haul, so many finishes, one feels like we're in a race & can't keep up. Designs are coming fast & furious. It's nice to see someone working on older pieces. Watching you is like stitching with a friend. We seem to pick the same patterns...I too have been reworking my sewing space...it's like we're on the same wavelength. Maybe post monthly? I'd really miss visiting with you!

It’s so good to see you back. Do not think about leaving. Your stitching is so beautiful and so well done. It’s a joy to see it. And job well done on your crafting space. I add my word “quilt” to you. Fun to see Alfy running about, too.

Nicola, please keep making your videos. Even if they are further apart -- I look forward to them. I think that you put out great content, The majority of us do not have endless budget. I prefer a shorter video then the overly long ones that display everything under the sun. I get overwhelmed when others show so much ! how on earth can they do it? Why cant I?
You are a down to earth natural person who likes stitching and quilting. Keep up the great work ! and keep your flosstube going!!

Hello Nicola - Was happy to see your video this afternoon. Love your bunny stitches. Can't wait to see the stand-up bunny.
Wanted you to know I love watching my stitcher-friend-across-the-pond. Love your accent, your relaxed demeanor, your walks, your stitching, yourvupdates. I too am getting bored with all the large (unecessary in my opinion) hauls, massive amounts of WIPS folks are working on to the point they have to schedule time for each one, how FAST they seem to stitch, the shortcuts taken, etc.
Stitching is a hobby for me - meant to be fun, relaxing, done at my own pace, work on what I love and pretty much know will get done sooner than later, loving my work even if no one else does. Don't get me wrong, there are several Flosstubers I watch for who they are and what they offer our community as well as their sense of humor, story telling, sometimes their stitchy area/homes, and their stitching. I like learning new things, seeing the new products and charts, but ivrrall, I just like seeing my Flosstube 'friends' and connecting in some small way. I hope you continue to put out videos as you can as we enjoy seeing you.

I don't come to see your haul. I come to see what you're working on and what is going on with you. I love seeing your walks outside. I love during the Holidays when you are fixing your favorite recipes. I also enjoy hearing about some of the other companies/designers that you are stitching. I always get worried when you are not on, but understand that you need to take time off to do what you need to do. Thank you for posting your videos!

You are one of a handful flosstubers whom I look forward to and watch as soon as a new video pops up. You are very natural in your delivery, like chatting with a friend, sharing projects, progress and hauls, and stitching/quilting along. We’re all busy and stitch/sew whenever we can snatch a moment.

Personally I just like seeing YOU. I like seeing your walks with Alfie. I like seeing and hearing about other hobbies, like quilting. It’s like having a nice visit with a friend. I loved your Christmas videos. I have concern for people who have so much haul. Length is not important to me. Monthly videos are nice. I think that probably helps keep most subscribers happy. I am always happy when I get a notification you’re back and I jump right over to see you. I don’t want my favorite people to get burnt out. You are a very special and interesting person. I am a bit behind watching Flosstubes, but I felt it important enough to comment that your channel is one of my favorites. I am a fellow flosstuber and I know how much work goes into making each and every video. I love your videos because you never waste time complaining and your share your stitching with helpful hints and don't waste time complaining about aches and pains or going to the beauty salon. I watch each and every minute of yours as I do not want to miss a thing that you show or discuss. I work two part-time jobs so sometimes I don't get a lot of stitching or finishing accomplished either, but I started my videos to inspire me to actually finish and fully finish my stitching, plus to make some friends that didn't think I was insane for always wanting to talk about cross stitch or quilting. I do consider you a dear stitching friend and it makes my day when I see you have a video uploaded. Life today is so busy, but do not berate yourself for how much content you have. I do not always have time to watch an hour video and sometimes a short, but sweet video is just what I need. Please do what makes you happy. This is your channel and remember that RUclips sometimes unsubscribes people without them knowing. It has happened to me and others. Maybe that is why your numbers have fallen a little, but you have over 10K subscribers and that is a great achievement. Sending happy thoughts and hugs to my fellow Flosstube friend! Dottie from SC in the USA

I hope you don't stop making videos, all of your projects are lovely and I have purchased some from watching yours in progress. Please stay. Sometimes I turn off a video that is a huge parade of what’s been purchased and so many starts. It feels unreal and overwhelming. I don’t want to spend a king’s ransom on my hobby. I remember the Christmas video in which you took us along and baked cookies I think . That was wonderful. Love hearing your voice - wonderful to stitch to. Bottom line though, do what is best for you. Many thanks for all your work to provide us with a lovely backdrop for stitching.

I sincerely hope you'll continue your channel. You're stitching is beautiful and every project you start I want to start myself. And you're finishing! What an inspiration! I don't feel you need lots of projects or haul for a video. I'm happy to simply see what you're working on and be inspired by your beautiful finishes even if videos are months apart. We clearly have the same stitching style and I would be sad to see a kindred stitcher leave. I'm not here for the haul or other perks...the stitching is what matters and yours is so beautiful to see. Please consider continuing in any style or frequency that works for you...I'm here for it either way :)

Please keep going Nicola but take the pressure off yourself and post when you can. Stitching for most of us by very nature is slow so it stands to reason you can't keep a high production rate going - we understand - truly! I have just returned to cross stitch and would love to know more about fancy flosses, supplies organisation, pattern management, WIPs tracking etc. I am always up for learning a small or large nugget of useful info. By the way your birthday gifts from Paula are super - I have the pattern for those cute little items and will do them one day! Love your Floss Tube and hope you will be cheered along by others who take time to comment x

I hope you do carry on with your flosstubes. I really enjoy watching them. They don’t have to be long videos or have a massive amount of WIPs or haul. A lot of us have busy lives and probably only working on a few projects at a time but seeing proper progress on one or two projects I find preferable to seeing some starting lots of projects then not getting any further. I also enjoy the quilting bits - I’m also a beginner quilter and really like your dress quilt you are doing. 😊

May I just say, that when I see you’ve done a floss tube, I always have an “oh yay” moment. Never feel that you have to be a slave to making them. I often hear floss tubers apologizing for not making more than they have. The thing is, “we” the viewers should never be prioritized over living your life and spending time with family, friends etc. Also, I admire that you are not buying haul just for content. I love that you mention sticking to a budget and needing to. As much as I’d love all the things, because I live in Canada I pay a fortune for shipping and pay the exchange rate as well, as I usually order from the States. I have become very selective in what I order and understand I don’t actually need everything I see. So, all of that to say…I love seeing your floss tube and hope you keep doing them, on whatever schedule works for you. 😊

Hello, Nicola. What I like to see on your floss tube videos is you. You are genuine and it is a joy to watch you. One of my absolute favorite videos of yours was years ago when you were making holiday cookies and they didn’t turn out quite like you had hoped. You made me laugh so much with your comments. I don’t need to see haul or have giveaways. I enjoy seeing your projects. They don’t have to be new ones each time. It’s fun seeing your progress. I always enjoy your flosstube so much…your walks with Alfie, your cross stitch, quilting, project bags and your delightful accent! Large amounts of haul are not a particular focus for me as I’ve downsized and not interested in a pattern collection that I don’t think I’ll have time to stitch. That doesn’t mean I never buy a pattern… I just try to be selective and keep my supplies within my allowed space. I’m glad you’re back and hope you’ll make a floss tube as your time allows. Love your decor!

I may be a little late commenting but I love watching your channel because you are so real, and genuine! I personally don’t always have lots of haul except maybe around market time😂 I know content can be an issue but I would rather watch a stitcher who has limited content rather than a flosstube channel that simply tries to fill a flosstube with haul or gifts. I also enjoy your quilting too! Please continue to film! I personally also love watching those of you in the UK. It’s interesting to see the same items and also the different ones from those of us in the US. 😄😄😄❤️

I would be really sad if you stopped producing your floss-tubes. I love seeing what you are stitching on and it’s like having a dear friend over for a visit. I can understand the pressure you might experience, feeling that you need to stay up with those that put out floss tubes on a weekly or monthly basis. If you put out one floss tube every 6 months, I’d still be a faithful watcher. In the end you need to make that decision that makes you happy - know that you are loved by many ◡̈

Hello Nicola, YOU help make this community a lovely place to land!!!! Every single time I pop in for a visit, I always leave inspired and uplifted. To be honest, if you just wanted to talk about cross stitching while you folded your laundry, I would listen!!!!! I myself tend to work on one large project at a time and have doubts myself about doing videos. Trying to have enough content is always a question in the back of my mind.
You are a marvelous part of this community.

I have watched your flosstube since I discovered the community in 2020 or 2021. Your calm is infectious. You do not inspire the feeling of inadequacy that some who must stitch 25 hours a day do. You also seem to have a budget to work within as some flosstubers must spend hundreds of dollars a week on haul.

Hi Nicola, it is nice to have you to watch again. Please don't make it the end; you are one of my favorites and I am not a fan of the longer videos that are becoming more popular on here. Love seeing your walks with Alfie and hearing about your life. I am one who doesn't get alot of stitching done because it is a pleasure not a job and I enjoy so many other things in what hrs there are in a day. I also like spending a little of my funds at antique/thrift shops. I was a stay-at-home Mom when the boys were growing up, so my retirement budget isn't very big. We must not forget that you are also a newlywed and have a life to live!!! Keep just being you and many of us will still be here. I think Madame Cottontail would make a very nice stand up piece and leave out all summer because she is gardening. My favorite dress is the green one and what a tiny waist on those dresses. I lost that waist of mine a very long time ago now ha,ha. I got nothing from Market this year, can you believe it? See you next time and til then....enjoy each day !!

Have been watching you since you had a knitting podcast, Nicola!! And I keep watching because you are such a kind and genuine person. I love your enthusiasm for your craft, and watching you work on, and eventually finish/fully finish your projects. You have terrific ideas for finishing - everything is always so beautiful! You are a truly "real" crafter in that you have a life besides crafting, too, which only allows a certain, small ration of time to work on "all the things"! This is more like all the rest of us - so we can truly relate. I am always delighted when I see one of your podcasts pop up - even if you haven't been around for months - because --- LIFE!!! So, number of projects, number of finishes, amount of haul, etc, etc just aren't that big of a deal to me. It's more that connection with another crafter and the huge accomplishment that finishing a project really is! I hope you won't give up your podcast altogether because I would truly miss you! ❤😘

This is the first time I have ever left a comment on floss tube.
I have watched your channel from the beginning and even gone back and watched your knitting channel because I am a knitter among
many things. I live in the States in Indiana out in the country near a small town, called Huntertown, not far from Fort Wayne and Indianapolis. You name a craft and I have done it, I love to crate.
I have a cottage business in my home for 24 years, I alter wedding dresses and remake Moms and Grandmothers wedding dresses for brides, also baptism dress from brides dresses. I have coronated weddings in the past. My husband and I have been married 55 years. Enough for Me
Nicola, I would miss you, you were my first floss tube and I love your channel very much. Love what you do and have learned from you. I love you country side walks in England and your Archie is so cute, I would miss all of that. Slow down if you have to but please do not leave us, do a floss tube when you can please.
We met a couple from England on a cruise and still keep in touch. I would love to visit but not soon. My husband is ill in a nursing home right now. Maybe someday. So you keep me close to England. Keep up the good work, we love you

As an American who has always admired British culture etc. I delight in hearing all things you share in that regard.
Thank you for all you do and your sweet heart.

I so enjoy listening to you because you don’t buy stacks of haul.
I enjoy watching you because you are down to earth and I can relate to you.
I have a crafting budget and feel many RUclipsrs unknowingly put pressure on their viewers to buy more and more.
I don’t watch you for rewards either.
Some suggestions of what I would love you to show is how you do some finishes, thread conversations, shopping from your stash, enjoying what we have. I love seeing your progress, no matter how great or small.
But most of all I feel we are friends who boost each other up.
You are so gentle with your discussions, successes and failures. Please continue, even if it’s once a month. Xx

I love your channel and your stitching. Too much overwhelms me as well and I keep my project count small. I appreciate seeing the stitching without massive hauls. Also, you have a very soothing voice and I love having your videos on while I'm stitching. Your accent is so lovely!

Hi Nicola. Please 🙏🏻 don’t leave us. I don’t need to see huge hauls or multiple WIPs or finishes. I just love seeing what you are up to and what strikes your fancy. Your new room is lovely. I’ve loved your flosstubes so far. Just post videos when you can and enjoy your time stitching. All the best 🤗

Hi Nicola, I love watching your videos and am in awe of the gorgeous finished objects you have created, as well as your stunning project bags. You've really inspired me to give sewing a go and I am hoping to try quilting too, thanks to you!
I look forward to your next video! Happy stitching ❤

Nicola, it's always so good to see you and as so many here have said, we enjoy you because you are real. I bet it wasn't the easiest thing, to share how you were feeling, but I'm grateful you did it.
I personally don't understand how people can acquire so much haul all of the time and it's actually pretty boring to me. And having tons of WIPs going has got to be a bit challenging.
I hope you'll continue to visit with us to show Alfie, your stitching and quilt pleasure, and your general happy attitude. It is enjoyed. Thanks, Nicola.

Nicola - I love watching your flosstube and have done since the very first episode. I think of you as a lovely friend to share a cuppa and stitch along with. I hope you'll continue to flosstube as and when you can. Like many others, I don't enjoy podcasts with large hauls, endless new projects or are are too long. I love hearing your news, updates on your crosstitch and quilting and seeing Alfie on his walks in the countryside. Your craft room looks lovely. Quilts

Happy to be a first time subscriber! I am a very slow stitcher and already have enough to keep me busy for years on top of quilting too. Can never have enough cross stitch and quilt patterns but there is that pesky budget issue. I enjoy good company and a little inspiration while stitching and you seem to provide both! 😍

Hi, Nicola, I enjoyed visiting with you today. I like your videos just the way they are...sharing your stitching and quilting journey, with the English countryside videos of your adorable pup. Happy belated Birthday! Your stitching room is looking beautiful. I will look forward to seeing how you continue to put your finishing touches on the walls. Take care and Happy Anniversary, too!

I enjoy watching your Flosstube very much! As I commented on your Instagram, yours and The Proper Stitcher's Flosstubes are the two I prioritize. I think your content is delightful, Nicola. You have such a sweet and kind personality. I love the sincerity that comes across. We have similar interests with our quilting and cross stitch, so I enjoy when you discuss those or show what you've been up to. I've also learned a lot from your tutorials. I definitely don't need to see huge amounts of haul. Some stitchers have me wondering if they are going into debt with so much haul. I certainly can't afford that. This year, I haven't even ordered anything from market. I'm trying to stitch from stash. Believe me, that's more than I can complete this year or the next. Thanks so much for your delightful Flosstube. Make it easy on yourself. Maybe five or six Flosstubes per year is all you can do. I find that I can't keep up with those who do one a week. It's just too much. Blessings!

First, thank you for doing a flosstube. I understand the time constraints it must be for each person doing them. I like to see FF and FFO’s. What you are stitching is nice to see and haul. I like to see if there are any things out there I may have missed. I like seeing a few WIPS, not crazy about parades. A video that is 30 to 45 minutes is great. Would miss seeing you but you need to do what is important to you.😊

I don't think anyone should feel pressurised to do a floss tube. However, I do enjoy seeing you and particularly like all the little things you introduce, chat, sewing, and bits and Bob's. Don't worry about the length or having numerous finishes. We just like seeing you 😊.
      Thank you Jan xx.

Hi Nicola, you do you! Your flosstube, your content! Don't worry about what to show us, just keep on doing what you do!
I also appreciate shorter flosstubes, 30 minutes is perfect. When all flosstubers make one hour and more I have no time to watch. I'd rather watch many of you, than 2 long ones.
Keep up the nice work with your flosstubes!
    With love from Sweden,

I don't have the budget to buy a load of stuff or kit everything with silks and to be honest I can't always remember what people have shown on the previous video so I don't mind seeing the same projects with a small amount of progress... I also like seeing your quilting and sewing projects. Keep going... there's lots of us out here who enjoy your content x

Good to see you again. Love seeing Alfie on your walks. I agree with some other comments that it’s like visiting with a friend when you do a flosstube. Even every other month or whatever suits your schedule keeps us in touch. I understand about not having a huge haul as I’m on a fixed income and need to be careful what I spend too. So whenever you can make a video is good for me. And I enjoy your quilting progress also! Happy stitching!

Nicola, I love seeing Alfie and I love seeing how far you get in your limited time. I fully appreciate you work, I work 6 days a week and we all struggle to shoe horn in some quality crafting time. I have watched you from the beginning and I have seen your confidence dwindle slightly in your manner. We love to see you, your garden and hear about Enzo. Please don’t hesitate to keep recording when you can.
As for content I really want to see you gradually work your way through anniversaries of the heart. I never managed to pull together all those patterns but I love them and I just love to admire what you have done, how ever small that maybe. Also when you have found your little bargains to display your stitching or even like the small lap tray you use to keep all your stitching equipment by the side of you. I also love to see how you JRT proof your stitching stuff too. I have a gorgeous little JRT of my own as well as 4, yes 4 cats. Stitching stuff is very often turned into a cat or dog toy. But you cannot be cross at them for long.
You got me stitching please don’t leave me now I’ve been here since episode 1 ❤
Oh and I love to Quilt too 🪡🧵

I love seeing your videos but please don’t feel any pressure when you like all of us have life going on. Some friends we see every week and others occasionally. One thing I must disagree with is you saying that you are not good at flosstube. I personally think you are one of the best. You have a knack for speaking to viewers making everyone feel included unlike a lot who make me feel very isolated with the endless name checks for friends and unrealistic haul and starts. I went to my first quilt show on Friday so enjoyed seeing your quilt

I think your floss tubes are terrific. I like seeing what you are working on, even if it is not a lot of projects. I really don’t like seeing tons of haul. I am very selective about what I buy. I have to agree with so many of the other commenters below; please don't go! I am not here for massive "hauls"; they are actually overwhelming. I enjoy seeing what you are stitching on and just the visit with you. Even though we have never met in person and probably never will, you seem a very real and friendly person that I enjoy spending some of my time with. I enjoy seeing what you have stitched. I don't stitch to a schedule to finish anything; I stitch for fun and relaxation; I hope that you do too!! And I thoroughly (!!!) enjoy the walks with Alfie!! I don't care so much about the haul. I enjoy seeing what you're working on - and seeing pieces multiple times to see the progress you're making. Nicola, your videos are perfect the way they are. I don't watch for haul or finishes. I like to see what you are stitching on and life updates. I will say that I like to watch stitch with mes when I am working on my full coverages, if that is something you would be interested in, I'm all for it. I have to wear magnifying glasses when doing full coverage so I love listening to other stitchers talking while I stitch. Whatever you decide, I am here for it.

I would feel overwhelmed if I had tons of projects going so I definitely get not having a ton of starts. I definitely think there is a place for all different types of stitchers and different types of floss-tubers. There’s no need to strive to be like others, your videos are full of joy, honesty and are wholesome. There should not be a ‘Flosstube template’.
