- BEST FLOOR FOR A MINIVAN.
I am installing the best floor I've found for a mini van. 2x2 feet 1/2 inch rubber exercise tiles in my minivan. These tiles are the perfect size and fit right down the entire floor leaving only a few inches at the doors. I have put layers of tiles to bring the floor up to level from front to back.
They serve a multi-purpose function. They add insulation to the floor. They add padding to the floor, and by adding layers you can have a level floor without any significant weight added to the mini van. I put a 4x6 plush carpet on top and it feels wonderful!

Oh my word! It's 3:00 a.m.! I have got to stop watching these videos 🤣🤣🤣💜
Girl! I relate!
Thanks for the floor tip, awesome. It's good that God leads you. I am a believer too.
Thank you. My Godly channel if you’re interested. youtube.com/@thehapicampertoo
Love, love, love your padded floor, 2 layer idea to somewhat level out the floor.
Thank you so much. It really makes the floor soft.
Half way through and I'm in tears. I actually think this will work. Thank you. I'm subscribing. Please keep making these videos
I hope happy tears! I’m super glad you’ve joined the family!
These are very ingenious ideas! The foam on the floor will save your knees and the rug is beautiful! I'm excited to see what else you come up with!
Thank you so much! I’ve been having so much fun building Ruth VanRebel!
Hello! Excellent flooring. I used my toilet as a seat most of the time too. Looks very cosy in there ♥️
Thank you! It is super cozy!
Nice Set Up Winter 👍👍👋💜
Thank you! 🙏❤️💕💕
💌 from California.
Born and raised! 🙏❤️❤️❤️
God has some great ideas lol great job
Amen! Thank you so much for watching.
Good for you!! Love the flooring idea and your rug. Pantaloons??! funny. ~Diana
Thank you Diana! Have a wonderful week!
I am really enjoying watching your van renovation. Grab onto your pantaloons!! You'll be hitting the road soon and having a fun time of it!!
I forget what the secret word is and then I see it in the comments and crack up! (I’m in the road now) look for future videos. Have a wonderful week Deb!
You're traveling now? How wonderful!! ENJOY!!
Pantaloons! Love it.
Thank you!
I like it with the bed going that way 😀 gives more room I think
Thank you! It actually ended up not working for my needs. You’ll see the changes I made in my tour of my van this Saturday.
Love all the colors. Pantaloons Congratulations on completing your van. If you are ever in the las Vegas/Pahrump area please let me know. ❤️🤗
I will for sure let you know. I drove through Quartzite three days ago. Ruth VanRebel and I are out there traveling.
Great idea! I use these foam tiles on the floor in my cabin kitchen. It's made a big difference in how warm the kitchen stays and how warm my feet stay in there during the winter months when we get -30C on a regular basis! Your van looks so cute! Love that it is red, my favourite colour!
I had already done the floor in my van when you put up your video on the RV floor. I had to laugh. Your idea for it in your RV was brilliant!
Looks great!!!
Thank you.
I'm going to do that also cause it is inexpensive. And I'm putting a rug on top.
It works great!
I used the foam tiles for mine. Really easy on the knees for covering the seat holes in the floor. Things do slide around more. Bungee cord fixes that.
I put a rug on top of mine and it helped as well with things sliding around.
Great idea! That should help keep my dogs warm too (they also have their sleeping bags)
Yes. I am quite pleased with these.
U are very entertaining
Thank you.
I use those foam, connecting pads on my minivan floor as well. It was on one of my videos. Also, I have those same thick socks. 😊
I’ll have to check out your channel. Thanks for stopping by. I love thick socks.
Pantaloons Just received my foam for my floor.
Nice slippers 😁
Those are my thick bootie socks! I hate shoes ( they will be the death of me🤪) and I can’t go barefoot (since my feet lost all their padding😭) so thick bootie socks it is!
I wear flip flops as house slippers. I hate my feet to get dirty. I think it’s from having kids. I would be the one who found the lost Cheerios that got away or one drop of kool-Aid.
It only took one package for my floor, I got the inch thick because I Don't know if I'm going to leave my trifold on the floor or copy your idea or use milk crate I really don't want it to be stuck in one place I need room. 🤣💜 I'm watching you girl if your floor turns out good and your box is turned out good and they should everything else you have done has turned out so well! I'm so jealous of your skills 🤣💜
Have you considered tough industrial shelves for your bed frame? Lash them together. Cut down the legs enough for head room and then a place for storage underneath?
Have you noticed any condensation under the carpet on the floor tiles?
I changed the build a long time ago so I’m not able to give an answer to that question. I now have a wooden floor.
2 1/2 mo post knee surgery. Working on my van for a Nov trip. Received the foam but I’m just playing around how to place my bed - Sienna Toyota
That bed placement is a big decision isn’t it? I pray your knee is healing well. I want to go back East end of the month. Where is your trip taking you?
@@TheHapiCamper Diwn west side of FL. Always wanted to drive that coastline.
That sounds wonderful.
Pantaloons!
👍💜💚
Hi Winter! I knew before watching what you were gonna use! lol! I used the same foam tiles on the floor in Honey and did a video back in March on it. They sure made a difference! Really nice to walk on and really insulates well. Great idea to double them up to level the van floor! Your van home is getting so cozy!! Have you been tempted to sleep in it in the driveway?
Forgot my pantaloons!!
I thought about sleeping in the drive way but didn’t. I’m actually traveling in it now. All these videos were shot back in Feb and early March. Yes, your floor in Honey is brilliant!
Can’t have that!🤪🤪🤪
Did you use double mats all the way through or two in the front
I used three in the front, then two in the middle, then one in the back.
Pantaloons...😆
Sweet!
Hi Winter, I am new subscriber looking forward to seeing your travels. What kind of van do you have?
Hi! Nice to meet you! I returned the favor. Glad to have found your channel. I have a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. The tour of it is set for Saturday.
@@TheHapiCamper, thanks for subscribing and I will be waiting to see your van tour.
Thank for the informative video. Are you worried about condensation and mold forming under the floor?
I live in a very dry state, so no I’m not. Good question though! Thank you for it.
I like your flooring idea. It's a year later now, how has it held up? Would you do anything different? Thanks for sharing!
I ended up changing my build four times since this. I’m the wrong person to ask about how something has worn. I only use my van on rare occasions as a “hotel room.”
Does mold grow under padding
I have no idea.
pantaloons
Sweet!
Could you please post a link to the padded tiles your using in this video?
Sure. amzn.to/3PfapYt
I gotta live in my van soon. Health is failing in the city. I'm gonna travel Oregon with my dog as soon as it warms up to reclaimed my health, meditate and pray. All the back seats are out. There's metal where they hook in. I need to carpet it all off. Was thinking a carpet runner industrial floor mat. Then my dog won't break her leg in the deep holes and we can put a bed back there. Are the mats toxic? Should I be good? Maybe this on top to bed safe. Then a bed. Thanks so much.
I pray that your move into your van will be God’s will for you and that you will heal. I’ve heard a lot of stories from people who were ill; moved into the van life and did just that. I used Several layers of the foam mats and then carpet on top. Super comfortable and a warm floor as well.
Your flooring idea is great, but didn’t you lose access to the storage under the stow n go seats?
I hope you think to vent at least one window when cooking inside.
I don’t use the stove and go my seats are down there. I didn’t remove them from the van. The only seats are removed where are the back ones. I’m single and I don’t need all that storage area. And yes I do vent when I’m cooking inside the van I have fans going and a window open. Thank you for the suggestion on that though. I’d hate to kill myself while cooking dinner ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha
Where did you get the floor tiles

Thank you 👍
What kind of minivan do you have?
2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. Thank you for watching.
@@TheHapiCamper 👌
Pantaloons
👍👍👍👍👍
Are you still happy with this idea as flooring for the minivan?
Yes I am. It works beautifully.
@@TheHapiCamper If you use that type of flooring how do you tie down the stuff you have in the van so it doesn't come crashing up on your and Peanut if there were an accident? Heaven forbid.
Bungee cords hold it all in place. Hi
@@TheHapiCamper Yeah I get that, just wondering what you have to attach the bungee cords to if you can't access the floor. What are you attaching the bungees to?
New Subbie! Hope to see u on my journey as well! Btw PANTALOONS lol 👖
Glad you’re here.
