- After a year of waiting my new Seadoo 300 GTX Ltd has arrived. I picked it up from my dealer on my birthday and a few days latter had a chance to put it in the water.

So glad to see you finally got your new one & on your birthday no less. It’s definitely a good looking machine. What an awesome feeling you looked like a kid getting his first bike all over again. Have fun with it as I know you will.
After spending $20,000 on a new PWC, the least they can do is fill it up with gas…

Nice ski. I ordered my 300 Aug 31st last year and picked it up in July. Has about 8 hours on it so far and ticks all the boxes. My last ski was a 2010 GTX.

Happy 65th Bob, I am two months ahead of you. I currently run a 2017 300 GTX Lmtd in Colorado, ordered a new 2022 model same color as yours back in September. It arrived just a few weeks ago, missing electronics just like yours…..Arggggg! Very frustrating knowing the machine is here, but incomplete! Well, hope the components arrive soon, glad you are up and running with your new one…….keep us posted how the sale of your old one goes.
Quick reminder that I bet you already know but may have forgotten…….when you are in reverse you can give it some throttle with right hand lever and it will stay in reverse as long as you are holding down the left lever and you can get a little more speed in reverse if you need it.

Shout out to my dealer in Sudbury Ontario Algonkin equipment, To my shock I went to go fill up my new Sea-Doo and it only took $1.13 they filled both of them up before delivery. The little things are always appreciated.

Congrats and Happy Birthday Bob! great looking Seadoo! I just picked my 22 GTI SE 170 up a couple weeks ago. It was waiting a few weeks for parts too. My dealer in Fredericton filled mine up before delivery. I was surprised your dealer didn't given you bought a top tier SeaDoo. Enjoy ! look forward to watching you take the new one on some adventures.
I did get a free sweat shirts from them.
Last month I went to a dealer just to kick the tires and when I was told that they were only taking orders for 2023 for 2 more weeks I plunked a five hundred dollar deposit right then and there for a GTI SE 170

Hey thanks. There are just certain things that I used to be able to do really easily and now it's an effort. Climbing out of the water back onto the Seadoo is one of them.

Happy belated birthday. I waited 4 months for my bike last year, and it self monitored during the break-in period. After the period, wow, what a difference.
Interesting. I will have to see how big a change there is after break in.
@@bobsudeyko4088 the break in was progressive on the bike, so by the time I hit 1,000 km, the restrictions had stopped.

A word of caution - locally the dealers haven't been installing the gauge clusters/screens properly and they are popping out - apparently there are some tabs that need to be adjusted to secure them properly! Good Luck and congrats on the awesome new ski!
I did notice that it was starting to come out. I pushed it in and now it seems to be holding but I will ask my dealer about it when I see him next. Thanks.

Free prescription drugs as well. Glad to hear your machines are good to go. Check the display screen to see that it installed properly. Some have been loose including mine.

Congratulations on your birthday. Look at it as one year wiser. I am scheduled to pickup my Trophy in July. It would have been great if you could have run us through a detailed inspection of your ski before signing for it. You mentioned about one or two things, but was everything there you had ordered, everything installed correctly, and no dents or scratches on the hull?
It was all good. The only issue was a loose display screen that I pooped back in. I guess I could have gone into more detail once I got it home. I still have no tried IDF. I am waiting until after the 19 hour break in period.

Hey Julie. I still have it tarred right now. If it’s a Seadoo move trailer it will handle the 300 GTX. My first trailer was a Triton but I like the Move better.

Quick question on fuel, I noticed that you used Petro Canada premium which I think contains some ethanol in it. Do you have a preference on the type of fuel you use and do you search for ethanol free gas (shell, Costco, marina)?
I wasn’t even aware of that. I have just used premium we’re ever I find it.
The engines and the fuel system are rated for fuel containing up to 10% ethanol. Just don't go higher than that (No E15, and certainly no E85).
Thanks for the response. Some folks say having ethanol in fuel for marine applications increases chance of the fuel going bad because water is attracted to ethanol. I am not sure how applicable this is if you are burning through the tank frequently.
@@chucky003 I wouldn't leave Fuel with Ethanol in the tank without stabalizer for any length of time (storage wise), but if you cycle through tanks pretty quickly, I can't see any issues. I may make a point to fill up with non-Ethanol prior to winterization just for added insurance, but for normal use, I don't know if I can justify the cost difference if the manual says its fine (i.e. if it causes problems, it's covered under warranty). Plus, for these 300's that want 91+ Octane, finding the higher octane non-ethanol fuel can be challenging, where we are, usually the best we can do is REC90. Ethanol is a huge problem for older engines that have parts that Ethanol degrades, but the newer engines are built to withstand it.
@@dcherney There is an app that I found which tells you which gas stations sell ethanol free gas in the US and Canada called Pure Gas. I am not sure how accurate it is. But it looks alright.

Sounds like how it was in the Soviet Union when you ordered a car. You would be put on a waiting list and even when it arrived it was missing key parts. What the hell is going on in the world?
