They're doing business (import/export) in Mexico. Are they pay taxes/import/export duties in Mexico? If not, perhaps that will change when they're granted residency status. I'm also curious whether the artisans are getting compensated and achieving credit for their work and creativity?

What are you doing for the Mexican people? You’re using them, and taking the profits for yourself, and you should be giving back to the wonderful, warm, hard working, kind Mexicans.

      Come on!!
      Really?
To start! They invested 200k of their own money in Merida . Now they travel around and spend their money that they make in the US in Mexico.
There are always the nut people that come up with this "you are too successful and I'm not. You should give your money away to stay in my loser league ".
      GTFO!
