Primestar Channel Surfing March 19, 1997 (Damaged Videotape)

- Flipping through channels on Primestar on March 19, 1997. The videotape was damaged soon after it was recorded, so there are 2 splices in it. (00:22 and 02:40) This video is mostly me going into the service menus over and over again to find hidden channels which were being tested on Primestar's new satellite at the time. They were going to do a major channel lineup change on April 1, 1997. I sat on the Prevue Guide for a while, and that has been a separate video on my channel for a few years now. This video is the whole source tape from that night.

I remember when the Prevue Channel guide scrolled upwards then they changed it to what it is here.
3:50 I LOVED the PrimeAudio channels. Early music streaming right on your TV. Of course my TV at the time didn't have the best speaker. It was just a 19 inch Magnavox with ONE 3 inch speaker.
What is up with some of the channels not working? Showing just a black screen.

Primestar Prime Audio? I'm guessing that was similar to the Music Choice music channels on digital cable.
Yes, it was just a few audio-only feeds that Primestar added their own slide shows to so there would be some kind of video on the channels.
I wonder if you can upload some Mystery Channel promos in 1999. What do you think?
