  • The rule for zero exponents is that any number raised to the zero power equals 1
I work several example problems that involve zero exponents.
    (5x3)0
    e4*e-4
    (8x2)y0
    (-4)0
    -40

There is an exception to the 0 exponent, which is 0^0. That answer is indeterminate. Therefore, it should be any non-zero number raised to 0 power is always equal to 1.

or basically,it's approaching to one(it's really near to one but not exactly one,but it is estimatedly one and that's the reaosn why internet is saying that 0^0 is 1)

@@thealmightyemperor4866 that's technically not correct. 0^0 doesn't have an agreed upon value. If you take for example, y=x^(1/ln(x)) when x=0. It would look like that it's going to e as that limit since that's the indeterminate form of 0^0. Another method is to use properties of exponents let's say 0^0=0^(1-1)=0^1/0^1=0/0. Therefore, 0/0 is indeterminate or basically undefined.

@@justabunga1 Yeah I know it isn't correct but that's what everybody says in the internet

    Evaluate m0 - n2 for m = 2 and n = -1. can you explain to me on why this is zero

      2^0 = 1
      (-1)^2 = -1 x -1 = 1
So it's 1-1 which is equal to 0

1:26 please teachers draw or write clearly when teaching. This looks like a multiplication dot, when it is supposed to be a minus sign. Very confusing to new students. thank you

If you think that x^0=1 then tell me: 1^0+2^0+3^0+...inf^0=?
