Minoru Suzuki vs Jon Moxely is something else man, hard shots, the stiffness, the agility, and most importantly character work by both Mox and Suzuki are on point both arre mad and were going nuts on each other. That chairshot was brutal.

It’s sad how much they knee capped Mox. They stripped the name recognition, they ignored his Death Match history, they tried and failed to move the fan shine to Roman and gave him a “lunatic fringe” gimmick as edgy as a balloon. Glad to see him flourish now he’s out of that cage.

I think this could have work, you know crazy and goofy in promos and totally hardcore and brutal in ring. But as we all know it was all wasted

If the NJPW/IMPACT/AEW relationship builds more, I would really love to see James Storm get a shot at the title. He's an extremely underappreciated wrestler, great character that could easily translate as a foreigner to the Japanese audience, reliable in every sense and it could reinvigorate his career with a brief run. Hes on the back burner right now with Kenny/Swann/Moose in the world title mix, so why not send storm to japan once the covid travel restrictions are lightened?

YES. Storm has always gotten the shaft with titles, only holding the TNA once in a weeks time. Which is a shame since he's given as much to that company as AJ, Bobby, Joe, or any other TNA original.

Shoutout to Juice for really making Jon look like the demoralizing Brawler he is. He got decimated throughout the match and it was a beautiful way to allow Moxley's debut to look solid as the wrestler he is.

For anyone wondering, Moxley takes it outside and has weapons in his matches because he's paying homage to the old school foreigners/gaijins like Bruiser Brody and the like who'd do similar things. Gaijins pretty much always acted heelish and took advantage of the refs. See: Original Bullet Club

I loved that first match between Juice and Jon, but that second match was just insane!! Those two really put it all on the line and wanted to put on a show for the crowd. That was one of the hardest hitting matches I've seen Juice in, and it was impressive. I'm excited for Mox vs. Nagata.
Also Suzuki is FUCKING INSANE!! Like just holy fuck that match with Jon was ridiculously crazy and it's the reason why I signed up for NJPW World. Suzuki is on another level when it comes to this strong style/no rules type stuff.
Covid screwed an excellent line of Moxley and more great matches. H carrying this belt would be great storyline for foreign wrestlers and crazy matches, but it was shortened by the pandemic. Let's hope it's rejuvenated before he drops it.
I wish they let him defend it in the US on AEW television during that time.
As it is, I hope he gets a long reign to establish the belt.

@@jvinson he is defending it 12 may on Dynamite, propably because it's easier to travel now. It wouldn't make sense for this title to be fought for between AEW stars, so it makes sense that they waited for NJPW
@@jvinson AEW and New Japan didn't have a great relationship back then, you know, the "forbidden door" was yet to be unlocked. But now NJPW is more open to working with AEW without Harold to prevent partnerships.

I'm from India 🇮🇳 I've never seen wrestling outside of wwe! I'd occasionally watched TNA impact and never seen NJPW! now I know what scripted professional wrestling is outside of wwe will look like and it's awesome. if not for guys like CM punk, Jon moxley expressing their frustrations over wwe booking decisions I would've thought wwe is wonderland for pro wrestlers! I'm from India and I'm watching independent wrestling and loving all of it. I'm in love with AEW hopefully it gets a major TV deal in India too. its all because of guys like mox bringing mainstream attention wherever he goes! he's establishing himself as the GOAT

Mox and Archer had a heckuva Texas Death Match Rematch on AEW Dynamite for the IWGP US Title! Those 2 guys have awesome chemistry! They know how to put on a show. And both are talented. I'm really enjoying the cross-promotion experience! It's been fun and exciting!

One thing i like about mox is how ugly and rugged his moves look. For some reason it fits his character so well.

Most of these matches were fuckin badass, especially the Lance Archer and Suzuki ones. Him vs Kenta was the only one that I didn't see as hella special. Granted I love Bullet Club and Moxley, I'll admit that it was still a good match, but due to the lack of crowd and such a small ring area to work with, it didn't really do it for me completely. I'm hopin that startin with the Nagata match next week on Dynamite that the hype factor can be fully reinstated for Mox's future defenses, especially seein as how the world is startin to slowly open back up.
