Failed Laser Cost Me Big On This Pad!!🤬🤦♂️

- Man this place is an omen!! These pads have been fighting me left and right. If i'm not getting stuck i'm having equipment issues! I hauled 25 lods of clay up for the pad. Set the laser up and made my shots. According to my shots I had the pad within an inch. I had to move the laser and tripod so I wouldn't run over it. I moved it over to the west side of the pad and set it up again. Set the laser to grade off my benchmark and thought I'd better check it again. The far end was now 4 inches low...WTF! I couldn't trust the laser so I cut in some of the swells. The next day I took the laser to the repair place to be checked and to hopefully find out what the deal is.
Mrs DD comes to aide in the rescue of the stuck truck, I think your bride did an awesome job, nice to know you have someone to lend a hand in a tight spot. Way to go Mrs DD953, you literally got the ole boy out of a hole.😊 thanks for update, appreciated the video.

I guess I'm not the only one that gets stuck in these soft fields! You may have to turn loose of some of that cash your sitting on and get you a articulated 6 wheel off road dump truck. Would love to have one myself but man they are expensive. Great video Sir. Glad you got truck out and nothing broken. Great to see your better half lending a helping hand.

Yeah, it's been a great one. Can't really complain about it. I so need to get this project done! It's been one thing after another and hopefully I dont get fired...lol!
Big pad grading is one of t 15:06 he most difficult tasks no mater how good the operator is ..the good news is the new technology makes our life so much easier...the price to pay for laser set up is not cheap nietger easy to use for old timers who doesn't believe in new technology crap ...will pay for itself on the long run..it is worth exploring for the peace of mind...good luck
I was always taught not to use a laser but use the machine. I can get really close most of the time. But, these pads need to be close. Thanks!

Love it and other than maintenance not done anything to it (other than undercarriage.) Ive had it since 2012.

My client told me right after they bought that piece of ground while the trees were still standing he took his 2wd tractor through the trees in that same area and it sunk as well right in the middle of summer. May be a shallow spring or something? Thanks buddy!
