Arthrex Animation Featured on NBC During Hero World Challenge

NBC Sports highlighted Arthrex innovation on the Hero World Challenge broadcast to detail Tiger Woods' subtalar fusion procedure, performed on his right foot in April 2023 by Martin O’Malley, MD, at HSS Sports Medicine Institute in New York City.
Subtalar arthrodesis is the fusion of the subtalar joint between the talus and calcaneus that can be fixated with Arthrex 7.0 mm XL Compression FT screws.
The 15-time major champion competed in the Hero World Challenge over the 2023 Thanksgiving holiday weekend, marking his first tournament since undergoing ankle surgery to address his post-traumatic arthritis from a previous talus fracture. Two weeks later, Woods played alongside his son, Charlie, in the PNC Championship Pro-Am tournament.
NBC Sports reported that Woods does not have any ankle pain with the hardware that’s been placed in his foot.
