Want to Make a Lot of Money with Gold Coins? DO THIS!

- This video is a combination of four videos that I filmed over 6 weeks while receiving, grading and selling 10 2015 American Liberty High relief coins. Each of these coin contain one ounce of pure gold.
I purchased 10 coins from the U.S. mint on the first day of issue, sent them to NGC, graded and sold them. By doing this I got myself several ounces of FREE GOLD BULLION COINS.
Enjoy!
So spend a large amount of money in the hopes of flipping them. This coin sold out within hours because a lot of flippers like this guy bought the household limit. Most of them were graded MS70 and are selling for $1,800 right now on ebay. So each coin retailed for $1,490 from the mint. You spend a lot of money on grading and postage to and from NGC and then hope to get a few proof-like examples which sell for around $3,000 on ebay. That seems like a lot of risk in terms of capital outlay vs. reward.
I wish I was smart enough to do this coin shit. I’m struggling to understand mint marks and the value of silver dollars.
This dude just said that one of his brand new gold coins was BETTER than perfect! I obviously need to reevaluate my definition of “perfect”!
I didn’t know that there was a classification higher than “perfect”?
This shit makes me feel so dumb and I’m actually an Engineer. I always feel like a pretty smart guy until I start trying to understand shit like this! Lol
I feel your pain, me too, I WISH I had known about making BIG bucks like this!!!!! Oh well, hind sight ya know ;)
@GeorgeBonez - If you are an Engineer, you obviously are not dumb. But if you are going to buy something as a hobby or an investment, you've got to know what you are doing. There is an old saying in coin collecting . . . Buy the book, before you buy the coin. There are a fair amount of books on collecting on the web, that will help you acquire the info you need, so that you will lessen the chance of losing money, later on. (and possibly make money later on). This guy sounds like he has been an investor for quite some time, if not decades. He is doing stuff on this video, that possibly took him that long to learn, without losing his shirt. Hope this is encouragement for you.

Excellent way of earning free gold. It takes money to make money some will say, I say it takes a bit of money and some good thinking. Thanks for sharing.
I have not bought any coins yet. I find a big markup at the Canadian mint and if I buy or sell in the U.S. I get gouged by the federal tax, state tax and who knows what else. I have a 1880 liberty half eagle five d. "I believe it is MS 65 or better and am planning to submit it to PCGS for grading to see what the grade comes back as from them. " Then I will decide to put it up on Ebay or not. Thanks for your encouragement. It seems 'dealers' order big lots from the Canadian Mint and then sell them and you do not know how good the grade may be. Take care! Thanks for your checking up on my progress. "All the best to you!" Jim.

funny 😂

Why would anyone pay such insane premium when you can buy the same grade directly from mint way cheaper?
google is your friend; search term "coin collecting"
Coin collecting can also be made by buying directly from mint, doesn't it?
This particular coin sold out within hours of it's release. So if you weren't at work and using your computer to purchase these you were S.O.L.

Don’t understand you won’t get any more for the packaging or design when you come to sell
Just purchased one of these coins for $1540. That's the cheapest I've seen them Also the US Mint is sold out. I think they sold out pretty quickly.
jb w I think it’s $1450 now
I never got such good results with a submission like that straight from the mint. Usually out of 10, 1 or 2 70s. The rest 69s.
Please do videos again , I just found you and love your videos , but now I am sad as you hávnt posted in 2 years . I hope you are ok 🥺
This is the best American Coin design of the 21st Century and I'd rank it up there with the best of all time. It's still not better than the Original Ultra High Relief and High Relief St Gaudens Designs from 1907 but it's up there. Great Coin and congratz on the successful flip.
You should have kept the proof like ones! I saw them listed on Ebay for $ 16,000 now. Great content
How much does it cost to have the coins graded?
a lot
What do you think of this year's 2017 US MINT Lady Liberty for the 25th Anniversary? It is a proof coin. Will you buy and sell them or not? The coin has extreme controversy, so I rather hear the opinion of someone who is buying and selling for profit and not collecting.
i do not do this no more tho because I kept getting them from the mint with Nick marks from other coins on them
Great job... not sure why you would liberate that MS69... the original govt packaging kind of sucked anyways
I am glad at the end of the video you make a statement showing you know these grading systems are a scam.
If more people would use some common sense and do the research, they will know no one can tell an MS69 from an MS70. The coin companies keep their businesses going by knowing people will gamble to get a perfect score, so they label some and the other coins they give MS69.
As long as people will buy the slab and not the holder - which is foolish, people will be able to take advantage of this scam.
Buy the slab not the holder? What’s that mean?
Buen trabajo amigo preciosas monedas gracias por compartir un abrazo buenas noches 👏👏👏👍
Very nice profit! Thanks for sharing. Good Luck and God Bless!
Excellent excellent excellent that was incredible information. You are one of the smartest precious metals investors or maybe the smartest i have seen. For your next video break down efficiently the secrets of ebay please i.e. commision costs, scam prevention (in case they say ‘you sent a empty box'), collection of funds into your bank, shipping insurance etc.
+Ken Scialoia
There is a risk on ebay of the buyer claiming they received an empty box, however you can overcome this by having evidence to show that it was indeed posted with an item inside. However they can always claim its not genuine or even request a return and send you a fake coin back, there is many scams buyers use on ebay, even on paypal.
There is no way to overcome this (I sold 500 items a month on ebay for a few years) ebay will not hear your side or story, they make a ruling, you are unable to speak to anyone who can even tell you why it was made or what to do, and they take the money from you. On higher value items they do ask the buyer a few questions, however if you are unable to provide proof as the seller that it was indeed a different coin they sent back, or not just an empty box, they will take the buyers side. I have taken video evidence of all high value postings, I get the box set up with packing etc, I then start the video before going into the post office, I will place the item in the box with a pre-printed ebay label for proof, I will video the item going inside and being sealed over the top, and handed to the assistant, scanned and receipt given with tracking barcode :- I have never had a problem with the ones I have done this with, and thus I don't know if this would change ebays decsions to someone claiming an empty box or different item)
You can however withdraw the money before any problems if its not been made unavailable, and then paypal can't touch it if you stop contact with your bank, however they will try and reclaim the money and shut your accounts down (buyer loses out in this case)
Ebay take 10% of the total sale cost, and paypal take 3-5% of the total sale. So on $6000 you get around $5100 (On all big sales like this you can try and say to the buyer you need to speak to them outside of ebay, via email or phone and can split the difference or try and sell outside ebay, beware however if ebay catch this and you word it wrong, they don't like it, however on higher value items in the UK if it saved me £500 for example, then I would tell them ill drive down the next day and can do cash on collection, they can see the item, I get the money, and we cancel the sale on ebay, everyone happy and you save plenty and even take £40 off the item price for them as a hook)
Collection of funds is done via paypal which is easy and takes under 1 min with no fees, insurance in the UK comes with the type of shipping, and you can purchase extra, and a loop hole in their definition will allow me to send numismatic coins as jewelry and not have to purchase specialized insurance.
If you want complete security, don't use Ebay.
If you want a much wider audience and potential higher prices, take a small risk and use Ebay.
If you really do have high high value coins however list on free sites with a decent audience and be patient, Ebay is great for moving items fast, but the fees are a killer,
Very cool video. Impressed that you scored four coins for free. Congrats.
Loved the video and pretty smart in doing so. Thanks for sharing!
awesome hustle bro!
Absolutely gorgeous coins!
At first I got all excited and wanted to start ordering gold coins (with zero knowledge) lol then I got to thinking more about it, and I still see it as a big gamble, what if he did not pull two "PL 70s? it seems like spinning the wheel somewhat, if he landed on 6, 8, 10 "69s" he would be fresh outta luck! unless you can make back all the expenses incurred, that's a lotta bank to lay out, to maybe break even or slightly under, depending on costs, either way, the man had the parts to roll the dice, and came up with a pair of PL lucky 7s! very nice play! I tip my hat to you sir! Next... Google: Gold coins for dummies! SHOW ME THE MONEEEEEY!!!! haha.
MowFix Co. High credit card limit
Except after you get them graded you probably can’t return them to the mint? So you may be stuck with
A inferior coin and after you paid to have it grade. Also next you will be trying to sell a inferior coin on
eBay and pay eBay fees as well.
Wow fantastic work! You did very well!
I've been stacking gold bars for several years. I should diversify and get gold coins. Thank you for sharing.
Any reason why you choose NGC over PCGS for US coins?
Bet you’re enjoying your purchase now!!! 🎉🎈🎊
I love gold!! Goldmember
Hi. Finally, I see a master who knows what they are doing when investing/trading gold... Thank you for sharing. Liked and subbed.
Hi. Can you recommend a similar strategy that might work for Chinese gold pandas?
Are there any lower value coins to start with? I have just started trying to build a collection with sovereigns so any help appreciated
Not really because the high value potential of the gold coins helps absorb the grading fees
Great video, clearly the coin chosen is very important. As of today, do you have any particular coins you are setting your sights on? Any coin that you think has the best prospect of seeing a higher return?
Nice coins, well done from over the pond.
hey, thats amazing that you were able to make that much profit! but I have the same question as the previous guy. how much did they charge you to grade each of those coins?
Nice coin. I like the turkey on the back.
wow awesome job.. glad it worked out for you..
Too bad you didnt send 5 to NGC, and the other 5 to PCGS. Would have been very interesting. Not that it wasn't already. Good vid.
Folks, this is a very old video based on the volatile new coins pricing. As of today on 2-22-20, this very coin at MS-70 state can be had around $2,000 (check out Ebay for yourself). It is unfortunate to many people who actually paid around $6,000 when the coin was newly graded at MS-70 and was offered to sell to the secondary market.
The high price ones were graded at MS-70 PL. The proof like is where all the premium comes from.
Like a boss! I think we could all learn a thing or two from you..
Too bad you didn't hold onto that MS 70 PL it is worth about $10,000 now.
Some are even more than $10K!!!!! Blows my mind!!!! LOL
Do you buy insurance for the value of the coins when you send them in for gradings.
Yes, of course!
Such a beautiful coin
Very interesting video.
My question is, why do you use NGC instead of PCGS for your coin grading?
I thought that PCGS was the top, most trusted grading company?
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing! Awesome profits!
How much was the starting bid you put on each gold coin base on its grade value on ebay?? im your new subscriber cheers!
Dude u broke out the hammer and I shit my pants.
You should have kept the proof like ones. I see them listed on Ebay for $ 13,000 now.
got to be honest though its a huge gamble. ur not usually gonna get 9 out of 10 grading ms70. If only 2 out of 10 grade ms70 you likely lose money.
yuliya9999 plus the cost to get them graded
Or you double your money, it’s called calculated risk...
Risk Vs. Return
Nothing ventured, nothing gained...
Are you getting the picture?
you are probably the best to take advise from in here. thanks
Pardon me, I am a complete newbie to gold and silver coins. My questions is why do you have to liberate the MS 69 gold coin? Why don't you just left the gold coin in the original US MINT casing? Why you have to liberate the gold coin and store it in a generic plastic casing? And by liberating the gold coin from the original US MINT casing reduce the value and authenticity of the gold coin? Thanks In Advance!
I don't understand it either. Why not just sell it for more profit on top of what he made by selling the other 6. Then just keep the other 3 that are MS70!
I can't speak for him, but I like having a few coins I can play with. It's fun to collect and handle coins without worrying about diminishing their value. So if he buys ten coins he thinks are pretty, he sells nine, and still has the MS69 to play with.
Spartan Financial
Maybe he sends it back to be graded a second time and it comes back MS-70
Spartan Financial He sent the coins to NGS to be graded, and if they came back with all the high grades like they did they would be worth more than they would have before they were graded. And the generic plastic that he put it in at the end was the capsule that came with the coin from the mint. Hope this helps.
Your awesome !
Great fucking video like how you “liberated” that coin from holder I can’t believe you got 2 PL coins I’m going to try that with 10 coins next time mint comes out with a good coin.... if it does not work I’ll just keep the gold
I love how you showed progress all the way to the end proving you made money
I have a russian gold coin for salw
Sale*
He says he got his money back selling 6 out of the 10 coins. But He never said how much the cost is to get them Graded , and the ebay fees. So these costs were included in the money back after only selling six?
Yes if he really sold them for what he claimed that would cover Ebay fees and grading fees. Coins cost under 15k and he sold them for over 19k Ebay takes around 10% grading fees vary depending on how many you do at once and level of membership but all in I'm guessing around $500 in grading fees for the 10 coins.
Great job! Good luck sir!
What don't get , is why the weight isn't commented. Gold has a very high density, approx 21 gram/ cm3. Or is the "fake" real gold also - and this is about the minting, not the metal ?
So when is the next big release? I definitely want to try my luck at getting some PL 70's
Arnold Layne : Don't hold your breath. Last MS70 PL coins were the 2009 St.Gaudens HR. Saw one sell on ebay for over $30,000.00. The coin shown was not a popular one and there are still a lot left at the mint for a lower price than original issue.
This exact coin and MS70 grading, in 2019, is listed on ebay for 1,900 dollars Buy it now price.
So why would anybody have paid 6,000 dollars for the term 'proof like'? It is still the same weight in gold :s What am I missing?
This was great, I been tryin to find out about "what coins are good to collect?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Wonenry Sonucas Approach - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my m8 got excellent results with it.
Because of the 50k minted less than 300 graded pl and they weren't all ms70 pl some ms69pl
Ms 70 PL is not common at all
I'm checking the various costs: you need to get an NGC membership: $25, Then get the coins graded: $15 per coin, there's also shipping when purchasing, grading, and selling $_ , and insurance $_ , and the fees from Ebay: $_% , and Paypal: $_% ... any others?
Cool thanks for sharing👍
The hammer lol
Just new to this, I like your video advice. "Best advice you can give a beginner?" I may be able to only start off purchasing 2 coins from mint to start off and then sell them to make a profit and then buy some more. That is if they are graded MS 70 or more.
Thank you for your advice! "Keep up giving the good information for people who are in the dark in this area." I am in a wheelchair and looking for ways I may be able to invest in something solid and help financially in the future. Best regards, Jim.
Well Jim its been five months since you have been here, how did buying MInt Gold turn out for you? Was it a pay off?
I really like your video. How did you now about the American Liberty High relief coins? Are you signed up with notifications from the US Mint? By the way, just subscribed and gave a thumbs up.
In gold we trust
Congrats
QUESTION: Is this a profitable strategy with Silver Eagles? And if yes, should i get the Proof Set version with the Mint Boxes? Or should i go the cheaper route and get regular Uncirculated Bullion coins
how do you b uy the gold, what do you look out for
A true veteran.
Nice pick ups fella, new subscriber here, keep on stacking
Beautiful!!!
Great tutorial, this is my first gold purchase with the mint with a high released coin (Mercury dime). I will try your model concept and see how it turns out and return the favor with a similar video. Great job!
Better than perfect? Sure, why not?
I bought one of these 3 minutes after opening sales. Never opened the box so later if it was a winner I try to figure out how to send out for grading. Coin Advisor has one MS-70 PL PCGS for 11,700 When i send in how can I can I get original boxes back. I have a bunch of first release eligible coins never opened. PCGS rep told me no limit on getting first strike as long as i never opened original box. Paper submission has so many options I am intimidated about filling in correctly. May I ask why you chose NGC over PCGS? Never ceases to amaze me identical coins graded the same only one by NCG and other by PCGS and PCGS under sold in ebay gets a higher price. Thank you
Not sure what you are supposed to buy. For example Apmex has raw 1oz gold eagles for 1317 and NGC MS70 ones for 1383. You can't make any money slabbing the raw ones and hoping for an ms70 on these so what do you buy?
I 'm jealous. Thumbs up!
great knowledge! thx for sharing.
I have a question about the proof like coins. Could you actually tell a difference between those 2 and your others that were graded 70 and 69? I'm wondering if it's just arbitrary to a degree and if NGC just says "Ok, this guy is a good customer and sends us a lot of coins, we'll give him 2 MS70 PL to keep his business."
They use a 10x magnifier to study the details
it's being judged by 3 people
Glad you can afford them; at 83, I CAN'T
What did NGC charge to grade those 10 coins? Thanks!
I eventually found that they charge a percentage (maybe 5-10%) of the appraised value of the coin for the service.
There are a lot of hidden costs he doesn't mention, but he still came out way ahead.
Don't forget to add the cost of shipping and insurance.
looks like you earned alot of money doing that, gratulations!
interesting video, thanks :)
I have a question... why the us coins are so expensive in the us mint website?? Dealers don’t have that expensive what is the difference
Seems like a great strategy. Thank you for posting. Would you do the same with new gold Eagle proofs or do you think it works best with special release coins?
Thanks. I think your best bet is special release coins.
OK thank you!!
That's actually genius. How would you recommend someone on a low budget start something like this? I don't really have 10K to buy 10 gold coins right now.
try ten grand for 6 coins
The hell you guys talking about? If you're buying them at that price you are getting mugged, they are most likely fake. (If we're talking about standard 1oz coins, presumably)
Where did u buy the coins
Can these still be purchased from the US Mint? Also I was wondering how do I find out about new coins coming out to buy from the Mint in order to be sent in to be graded....Thanks for the encouragement.
How much does the grading cost for each coin?? just curious!
Well Played sir...
Could you visually tell a difference between the proof like coins and the regular MS 70s?
A lot of times you can’t tell at all without a magnification, other times you can see a tiny dot, smudge, or ding that kept it from getting ms70
Where do you sell them?
eBay
Man, I want to get in on that beautiful coin action
I have a 1901 russian coin for sale
What grading fee did you choose? Does it affect the grading?
like what is the weight of the coin you have
Are you a Lepracorn in another life ? What do you so with this many coins .. how do you earn money out these ? Do you sell them back ?
I'm in love!
You're too kind! I'm just a normal guy.
Is the the grade random??
@gruppenbullion where do you purchase your gold coins?
That's right!!! Good shit
You might have told us what NGC is.
how can I buy from Malaysia ??
Great idea
very smart man
My dear friend, I have translated and put a Chinese subtitle on your video. I wish you allow me to share your wonderful experience to Chinese collectors.
