  • Chasing Striper slurps on Lake Powell. A striper slurp is: when a school of stripers (striped bass) feed on a school of larval/adolescent shad at the surface. Often lasting only 15-20 seconds. Not to be confused with a striper boil: when a school of stripers chase and enclose/trap a school of 1 year old (fast moving) shad at the surface and feed. Videos taken in the main channel of Lake Powell. (AZ/UT) from Navajo Canyon up to Rock Creek Canyon on June 21, 2022
