I’ve had this device for a few days and all I’m hearing and every video I see are RUclipsrs giving this device a bunch of hate..this was refreshing because it really is a good device and the battery is crazy good! And another thing, what’s wrong with the rest of us that want a big phone that’s not expensive? I’ve bought all pro max’s since they were released and I’ve never once used half the features or cared for them I had no choice because i wanted a bigger phone and because of that I had to pay the premium price, this is just perfect and what I’ve been waiting for..it’s good to have the plus models back
True, battery backup of this phone is crazy. My take for this phone is mainly for bigger screen & bigger battery. 60HZ on iphone is way better than any other phones so losing 120hz at this price isn't a big deal for me. Also the network reception is so much better than my oneplus 6.
Thank you for this review. I got the 14 plus for my husband. I ordered it on launch day. (He doesn’t need all the pro features but wanted a larger phone) I was so disheartened to see all the reviews saying it was a waste of money. After getting it and seeing how it performs, we are both totally happy with it! It’s a great phone. (I would much rather have the latest phone over last years model.)
I think you made a smart choice. I bought the 13 Pro Max on launch and although I have used the telephoto and even raw a few times I’d take the weight of the 14 plus anyday. That’s a really day to day annoyance for me vs niche usage of the other features. Also I swap between lots of phones including a 13 mini and as I don’t game on my phone I’ve never really noticed much difference in 120hz vs 60hz. I do notice it on iPads and MacBook.
Never regret your choices…it’s your hard earned money after all…comparatively it may be expensive for whatever reasons..but that doesn’t beat the fact that it IS a new phone, is big and is flagship in all usable aspects…so chill
My wife has many years now with her iPhone 8 and before that she has always been behind 2-3 generations from the most current phones plus all of them have been 6 inches or less. She is getting tired and I am thinking of upgrading to an iPhone 14 plus. She doesn’t need a top of the line camera she does more RUclips Facebook and Instagram consumption than anything so si think this one is the better choice for her.
the reason why it’s a waste of money is because it’s the same processor and design as last year’s model. the only different is the size and that it was emergency SOS over satellite. Last year’s 13 Pro Max is better than the 14 plus and cheaper
I got this as well, but I love it. I wanted a bigger screen than the 13 Pro without the weight of the Pro Max. This phone is fine, easy to holdnfor long periods, works fast AF. People dumping on this phone aren't able to think beyond their own use cases.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this video. Everyone has continually tries to discredit the 14+ and it’s really a device to consider over the 13 Pro Max for general consumers. Great battery life, big screen, and WAY lighter. Got it for the wifey and she’s more than satisfied.
I originally had the 14PM for almost a month , jus returned it & Got the 14+ in red instead. The phone is really nice but overall i couldnt get use to the weight of the phone. The only big difference i can tell between the two phones is the PM is a tad bit more brighter.
@@Ninnjette- The refresh rate does not have any bearing at all for an average user. I both own the 14 Pro Max and 14 Plus, little to no difference at all in terms of performance. In fact, I prefer the battery on my 14 Plus over the 14 Pro Max.
I’ve had the plus for about a week now. I previously had the 11. I love this phone. The pictures look great. The screen quality is great. I love watching movies on my phone and they look great. I’m happy i got this phone.
This is the best 14 plus review on youtube. Its true that most youtubers advise not to buy this phone, especially when they are paid by Apple, and push you to get 14 pro max. I ended up buying 14 plus for all the reasons mentioned in this video, plus Bluetooth 5.3.
This 14 Plus is an amazing phone, battery life is great and cameras are impressive; all those pro features of the 14 pro/pro max are confusing to me and pulls too much memory and battery when used. I only wanted a bigger phone and still got pro features in my opinion. Great review ❤

I think this phone will sell well instead of going for a used 13PM or such because not many people are tech savvy about their devices, and they want the latest phone that’s big in the hands and doesn’t break the bank. How people are willing to go into debt for a phone is beyond me.
I got the 14 plus in red in 256gbs and I compared it to the 14 pro max in 256gbs and it’s a 300 dollar difference , I got the plus on Friday and on Saturday brought it to the Apple Store got Apple care put on and the camera 📷 is amazing I love it

Exactly i just got a 13PM from a 11. And i love it. And im a heavy mobile gamer and this battery last. Its the biggest one they’ve dished out so far. I think the differences are small between these two and if you have a phone just be thankful u have one. I’ve seen people still trappin on the 5😂
It’s a $100 too expensive. But I get the idea of pricing this high to make consumers just pony up and get the pro series phones. I have had great battery life with the iPhone 14 pro, for me that is taking it off charge in the morning and lasting into the next day around the afternoon.
I also think it’s a little overpriced , however , you can’t put your own value on someone else’s money …. Given the battery and iOS reputation for updates , a 512gb 14 plus , with the intent to keep it for 5 years or more makes a lot of sense !
Getting my 14 plus tomorrow can’t wait. Had the iPhone 14 pro but can’t stand the island I prefer the notch. Also don’t like how heavy the pros are. Also I’m a casual iPhone user that does not need all the pro features.

Nice to see someone with the same outlook to this phone as I’ve had about it . I’ve just come from android and to be frank my experience with android has been a mixture of highs and lows ! Coming back to iOS has been a fun and matured experience and this plus variant of the 14 is excellent, the battery life is by far the best I’ve had on any phone . I’ve also got to give props to Apple with how well optimised the software is everything just works on command. I’m starting to get long in the teeth now and since starting my RUclips channel I need reliability and ease of use to make my whole process easier . This phone is fast , well made and reliable . Camera is top notch as well I thought I was going to miss the best of the best camera features but in reality it’s more than enough for what I need it for and I love the cinematic feature is great . I sold my iPhone 14 pro in less than a month and bought the 14 plus. Already have a 13 pro max. Two reasons. Lightweight and battery life. Both deal breakers for me. Also a better grip without a case. The pros feel slippery. 14 pro was nice and light and I loved the island but battery was a thumbs down. And I personally honestly can’t make out the difference between refresh rates. I’m more than happy with my red 14 plus.

Upgraded from 7 Plus to 14 Plus about two weeks ago and I am loving this 14 Plus. Not just because it's such a huge change from the 7 Plus BUT because it's get everything I need and nothing I really don't need. I appreciate you giving us a honest review of what the 14 Plus can do and not dismiss it like the majority of video reviews are doing. I got the 14 plus coming from the XR have only had nearly 2 days but gotta say love having a bigger screen and stronger battery. I don’t care about cameras as much.
Ohh at 18:30 on Sunday I put that battery 🔋 saving mode on all day and boy it did actually work , by 2am this morning I had close to 80% , this phone rocks for battery life
And I am coming from an iPhone XR 64gbs so to me the 14 plus 256gbs is a good upgrade and saving that 300 dollars compared to the 14 pro max 256gb is well worth it to me
I have XR and am looking to upgrade. I have hesitated on the 14 pro max because with the camera it seems sooo big. This sounds like a good replacement.
Had this phone pre ordered since last month so I received it on the 10/07/22 came from the 13 and I had to charge it 2times a day,but my 14 plus battery is awesome weight of it was less then the 13 so I love this phone color purple 💜 not to mention the bigger size.👍🏽😀
Here in the EU the price differences are much bigger, the 13 pro and 14 pro max are $500 and $1000 more than the 14 plus and that makes a huge difference. The only complaint I have about this model is the 60 hertz display, they could have bumped it up to 90 at least, but most people won't even notice, like they won't be missing a dynamic island, a third zoom camera, or a 16A chip. So this model 14 plus is the best choice so far considering what we get for the money. I'm going from 11 to 14 plus 256GB for 1400 euros, which is $1490. 14 pro max costs 2000 $, and 13 pro max costs 1700$.
My situation is exactly the same as yours, I had 2 13 PMs, traded one in for a 14 plus with more storage. Able to get this phone for less than 300 dollars. My main reasoning for this is I wanted the big screen, battery life, storage and most importantly the light weight feeling in hand. Dynamic island did not interest me, I also am not a photographer so I didn't care about having the best camera. I think its a great phone for most people who aren't worried about the highest tech features (not that any newer iphone is lacking) I've seen so much hate but I truly don't think its justified, yes iphones are expensive and $200 savings is nothing to sneeze at
Ok so I got this device I come from an iPhone 11 Pro. I learned that it’s the 11 pro that I don’t need the features or a fidget spinner camera. 14 pro max way too heavy we really don’t need that lol but we get it because is the latest new iPhone. 14 plus seemed great for me I’m happy with it I love the purple color.
I have 14 Plus been using it for 20days and all I can say is the cameras are better than IP13PM u should have the 14Plus before comparing it, the Photonic Engine is a plus plus!!! 🎉 battery last for 2days!

A tech RUclipsr that wants to review the biggest and baddest of the new releases. The iPhone 14+ is a good phone I know I bought it and it is great I have had a few iPhones in the past. This one is obviously the biggest one that I’ve had when it comes to a phone. Especially when I just came from the iPhone 12 mini half that size quite literally in every way. Don’t get me wrong the iPhone 12 mini was a great phone and I had it for two years but I wanted to change previously before the 12 mini I had the iPhone 11 and that was a great phone too. Sometimes people need to give things a chance, but when certain people give negativity about things it gives the wrong impression and people don’t give something a chance, like the 12 mini. I went from the 128gb on the XR to the 256gb on the 14 plus as I was starting to run out of memory after all the years of having my last phone so definitely recommend 256gb if you have a lot of apps/pictures
its 256 nowdays. the updating of apps are also getting bigger and bigger thru time. also if you love pics, make and store videos. its the middle ground now days. 😎👍 since apple doesnt come with an extra sd slot since before time. hope it helps.

I got the red 14 plus & it’s the best option of the line up no doubt majority of people won’t & don’t use the extra bs features the pro & pro max models have I can easily kill the 14 plus in a day but it defiantly gets me from 5am right through to 4pm while I’m working that’s with decent usage as I’m a fairly heavy user

Can you guys help me out a little? So I ordered the 13 pro max when it was still available via a shop here (a big chain actually) and it's now been a month, still haven't got any news about my phone. It's a sierra blu 13 pro max, 128gb. Should i just go ahead and cancel my order and get a 14 plus way faster, maybe even with 256gb? I am a media consumer, never had a 120hz display and want to try it out so bad. I'd also love to have that telephoto lens, and just love the design of the 13 pro max. Should i just wait a little longer or go ahead and cancel my order and get the 14 plus??
Apple doesn’t make the 13 pro max anymore so I’m not sure where they are going to be getting the 13 pro max from. You need to call them and ask them when can you expect the 13 pro max.
Well ATT&T does not do trade in getting a 13. I got 350$ off this phone trading in my 8 plus. Would like to see the repair cost discussed because I read the back on the plus can be replaced for about 150$. Where the pro models are not replaceable. Maybe there is more info that was not in the article I read

One thing I think reviewers are forgetting with this phone is most ppl can’t pay the $700-$800 bucks for an iPhone 13 Pro Max on eBay etc. most people would be trying to use their upgrade and can’t afford to pay the monthly fee for like an iPhone 14 pro max making this a great alternative.

Good video with real world perspectives. Just ordered my 14+ and will get it Monday and coming from a 12. Realistically, I don’t need all the bells, whistles, and gee whiz folly surf the Pro and Pro Max have, and would not use the features. Just need a bigger phone , so I can see the screen better for emails and typing.
I'm getting my wife the 13 pro max 256 gig for same price. . She doesn't care about tech like me, however the lack of a telephoto on the 14 plus in 2022 is a no go. Family trips started and she can never do portrait mode at distance. 14 plus is cool but as I have the 14 pro max, I'd rather her at least have the reach I have. Great video
I came from the galaxy s21 to the blue iPhone 14 plus. I wanted to try out apple after being with galaxy phones for years because of curiosity. After a week I’m loving the phone! The battery life is much much better than the s21. I’m also enjoying iOS much more than I thought. Android is also great, I like both equally for different reasons. I’m overall happy with the purchase and I’m not regretting getting it over the 14 pro max. And as for apple ripping people off, I agree that Samsung and the others do it too. Everyone got rid of charger bricks and headphone jacks to line the pockets. Galaxy’s are expensive and so are iPhones. Even the razor flip is like $1k. There’s no avoiding it so just get the one you like the look of. They’re all great imo.

Great review. However you actually made a mistake calculating the screen on time hours, you had 8.25 (8 hours 15mins) , which is more than what you reported. eg 4 hours 25 mins is NOT 4.25 hours, its 4.41 hours. You divide the minutes by 60 (25/60=0.41). I haven’t got yet but I’m debating wether to get the 13 pro max or the 14 plus
i bought 14 plus the battery was amazing after 2 days of use for movies and browsing still have 40% ... 14 plus is worth it if you want bigger screen for cheapest price.
Do you swap esims between iphone and android on tmobile? That's the only hiccup I can think of because I have both but not buying the 14 if it's a pain in the ass.

I literally came back to the video to thank you for this. I c currently have the 15 promax with T-Mobile and me personally, I feel as though that this phone sucks. I do not know if I received a defective device or if it is just the carrier however I was considering the 14+ or the 14 Pro Max this video has helped me to make that decision. Glad to stumble in this. Im nit an apple fanboy but am caught in bad situation where my lg thinq8 isn't working on xfinity mobile anymore. Reviews oh premium android phones scared me to go with something less risky ie iPhone. I settled on the plus because my 59 year old vision is really challenged on these phones now. I had fingers crossed on battery life sounds like you say I'm good. Looking forward to its delivery...
I dropped down from note 9 to iPhone 12 Pro. I like the size of the smaller screen but my eyes are agreeing with the switch all the time. I may go back to big phone once they get usb c so I can power my midi controller without the charger. I wouldn’t mind getting the 14 plus with more storage as I used up the 128gb pretty fast with video, audio, and music apps. Hopefully there is usb c on the 15.
I just pulled the trigger today on the red 14 plus first time iPhone purchase/user You know me on team Android. I'll have this as my backup side piece for a minute anyway besides, I've been wanting to see what iOS has to offer

I’ve just come from android and to be frank my experience with android has been a mixture of highs and lows !
Coming back to iOS has been a fun and matured experience and this plus variant of the 14 is excellent, the battery life is by far the best I’ve had on any phone .
I’ve also got to give props to Apple with how well optimised the software is everything just works on command.
I’m starting to get long in the teeth now and since starting my RUclips channel I need reliability and ease of use to make my whole process easier .
This phone is fast , well made and reliable .
Camera is top notch as well I thought I was going to miss the best of the best camera features but in reality it’s more than enough for what I need it for and I love the cinematic feature is great .

I bought mine yesterday and love it. I can’t use 13 or 14 pros as my eyes can’t tolerate the PWM of those screens. This is one is fine! Got it in red!

I sold my iPhone 14 pro in less than a month and bought the 14 plus. Already have a 13 pro max. Two reasons. Lightweight and battery life. Both deal breakers for me. Also a better grip without a case. The pros feel slippery. 14 pro was nice and light and I loved the island but battery was a thumbs down. And I personally honestly can’t make out the difference between refresh rates. I’m more than happy with my red 14 plus.

Upgraded from 7 Plus to 14 Plus about two weeks ago and I am loving this 14 Plus. Not just because it's such a huge change from the 7 Plus BUT because it's get everything I need and nothing I really don't need. I appreciate you giving us a honest review of what the 14 Plus can do and not dismiss it like the majority of video reviews are doing. I got the 14 plus coming from the XR have only had nearly 2 days but gotta say love having a bigger screen and stronger battery. I don’t care about cameras as much.
Ohh at 18:30 on Sunday I put that battery 🔋 saving mode on all day and boy it did actually work , by 2am this morning I had close to 80% , this phone rocks for battery life
I had the 14 pro max didn’t see any difference besides the DyNAMiC IslANDDDDD 🥴. Took it back and getting the 14+ plus a better deal!
And I am coming from an iPhone XR 64gbs so to me the 14 plus 256gbs is a good upgrade and saving that 300 dollars compared to the 14 pro max 256gb is well worth it to me
I have XR and am looking to upgrade. I have hesitated on the 14 pro max because with the camera it seems sooo big. This sounds like a good replacement.
Had this phone pre ordered since last month so I received it on the 10/07/22 came from the 13 and I had to charge it 2times a day,but my 14 plus battery is awesome weight of it was less then the 13 so I love this phone color purple 💜 not to mention the bigger size.👍🏽😀
14 Plus is likely the best choice for most people this year.

I was using XR till now and now i switched to 14 plus. Both are very good phones.
Here in the EU the price differences are much bigger, the 13 pro and 14 pro max are $500 and $1000 more than the 14 plus and that makes a huge difference.
The only complaint I have about this model is the 60 hertz display, they could have bumped it up to 90 at least, but most people won't even notice, like they won't be missing a dynamic island, a third zoom camera, or a 16A chip.
So this model 14 plus is the best choice so far considering what we get for the money. I'm going from 11 to 14 plus 256GB for 1400 euros, which is $1490. 14 pro max costs 2000 $, and 13 pro max costs 1700$.
My situation is exactly the same as yours, I had 2 13 PMs, traded one in for a 14 plus with more storage. Able to get this phone for less than 300 dollars. My main reasoning for this is I wanted the big screen, battery life, storage and most importantly the light weight feeling in hand. Dynamic island did not interest me, I also am not a photographer so I didn't care about having the best camera. I think its a great phone for most people who aren't worried about the highest tech features (not that any newer iphone is lacking) I've seen so much hate but I truly don't think its justified, yes iphones are expensive and $200 savings is nothing to sneeze at

Ok so I got this device I come from an iPhone 11 Pro. I learned that it’s the 11 pro that I don’t need the features or a fidget spinner camera. 14 pro max way too heavy we really don’t need that lol but we get it because is the latest new iPhone. 14 plus seemed great for me I’m happy with it I love the purple color.
I just bought a 14 plus with 512 GB, so far, quite satisfied.
Makes sense that , you will have a phone that’s useable for many many years ..
I have 14 Plus been using it for 20days and all I can say is the cameras are better than IP13PM u should have the 14Plus before comparing it, the Photonic Engine is a plus plus!!! 🎉 battery last for 2days!

Got the 14 Plus too, to upgrade my XS. I've had the 13 Pro Max in hand, my friend got that. I'm keeping the 14 Plus until the updates stop coming, it's so great.
You did a great job on this video way to explain every aspect. I agree with you when it comes to the fact that a consumer is looking for certain things when it comes to iPhone. A tech RUclipsr that wants to review the biggest and baddest of the new releases. The iPhone 14+ is a good phone I know I bought it and it is great I have had a few iPhones in the past. This one is obviously the biggest one that I’ve had when it comes to a phone. Especially when I just came from the iPhone 12 mini half that size quite literally in every way. Don’t get me wrong the iPhone 12 mini was a great phone and I had it for two years but I wanted to change previously before the 12 mini I had the iPhone 11 and that was a great phone too. Sometimes people need to give things a chance, but when certain people give negativity about things it gives the wrong impression and people don’t give something a chance, like the 12 mini. Good job on the video like I said before keep up the good work and thank you.
I am not a fan of the dynamic island. If I was gonna buy an iPhone, it would be the 14 plus, I prefer the notch over the dynamic island.

I went from the 128gb on the XR to the 256gb on the 14 plus as I was starting to run out of memory after all the years of having my last phone so definitely recommend 256gb if you have a lot of apps/pictures
its 256 nowdays.
the updating of apps are also getting bigger and bigger thru time. also if you love pics, make and store videos. its the middle ground now days. 😎👍
since apple doesnt come with an extra sd slot since before time.

I got the red 14 plus & it’s the best option of the line up no doubt majority of people won’t & don’t use the extra bs features the pro & pro max models have I can easily kill the 14 plus in a day but it defiantly gets me from 5am right through to 4pm while I’m working that’s with decent usage as I’m a fairly heavy user
it's funny cause most regular folks aren't using the pro features. why not use the extra $200 on new AirPods?

Can you guys help me out a little? So I ordered the 13 pro max when it was still available via a shop here (a big chain actually) and it's now been a month, still haven't got any news about my phone. It's a sierra blu 13 pro max, 128gb. Should i just go ahead and cancel my order and get a 14 plus way faster, maybe even with 256gb? I am a media consumer, never had a 120hz display and want to try it out so bad. I'd also love to have that telephoto lens, and just love the design of the 13 pro max. Should i just wait a little longer or go ahead and cancel my order and get the 14 plus??
Apple doesn’t make the 13 pro max anymore so I’m not sure where they are going to be getting the 13 pro max from. You need to call them and ask them when can you expect the 13 pro max.
Well ATT&T does not do trade in getting a 13. I got 350$ off this phone trading in my 8 plus. Would like to see the repair cost discussed because I read the back on the plus can be replaced for about 150$. Where the pro models are not replaceable. Maybe there is more info that was not in the article I read

One thing I think reviewers are forgetting with this phone is most ppl can’t pay the $700-$800 bucks for an iPhone 13 Pro Max on eBay etc. most people would be trying to use their upgrade and can’t afford to pay the monthly fee for like an iPhone 14 pro max making this a great alternative.
Hopefully I’ll get one soon, since I have an iPhone XS Max and over the years it was a good phone, just the battery isn’t that good, so hopefully I’ll get the 14 plus, love ur video 🧡🧡👍🏻👍🏻
Good video with real world perspectives. Just ordered my 14+ and will get it Monday and coming from a 12. Realistically, I don’t need all the bells, whistles, and gee whiz folly surf the Pro and Pro Max have, and would not use the features. Just need a bigger phone , so I can see the screen better for emails and typing.

I'm getting my wife the 13 pro max 256 gig for same price. . She doesn't care about tech like me, however the lack of a telephoto on the 14 plus in 2022 is a no go. Family trips started and she can never do portrait mode at distance. 14 plus is cool but as I have the 14 pro max, I'd rather her at least have the reach I have. Great video

I came from the galaxy s21 to the blue iPhone 14 plus. I wanted to try out apple after being with galaxy phones for years because of curiosity. After a week I’m loving the phone! The battery life is much much better than the s21. I’m also enjoying iOS much more than I thought. Android is also great, I like both equally for different reasons. I’m overall happy with the purchase and I’m not regretting getting it over the 14 pro max. And as for apple ripping people off, I agree that Samsung and the others do it too. Everyone got rid of charger bricks and headphone jacks to line the pockets. Galaxy’s are expensive and so are iPhones. Even the razor flip is like $1k. There’s no avoiding it so just get the one you like the look of. They’re all great imo.

Great review. However you actually made a mistake calculating the screen on time hours, you had 8.25 (8 hours 15mins) , which is more than what you reported. eg 4 hours 25 mins is NOT 4.25 hours, its 4.41 hours. You divide the minutes by 60 (25/60=0.41). I haven’t got yet but I’m debating wether to get the 13 pro max or the 14 plus

Do you swap esims between iphone and android on tmobile? That's the only hiccup I can think of because I have both but not buying the 14 if it's a pain in the ass.

I literally came back to the video to thank you for this. I c currently have the 15 promax with T-Mobile and me personally, I feel as though that this phone sucks. I do not know if I received a defective device or if it is just the carrier however I was considering the 14+ or the 14 Pro Max this video has helped me to make that decision. Glad to stumble in this. Im nit an apple fanboy but am caught in bad situation where my lg thinq8 isn't working on xfinity mobile anymore. Reviews oh premium android phones scared me to go with something less risky ie iPhone. I settled on the plus because my 59 year old vision is really challenged on these phones now. I had fingers crossed on battery life sounds like you say I'm good. Looking forward to its delivery...

I dropped down from note 9 to iPhone 12 Pro. I like the size of the smaller screen but my eyes are agreeing with the switch all the time. I may go back to big phone once they get usb c so I can power my midi controller without the charger. I wouldn’t mind getting the 14 plus with more storage as I used up the 128gb pretty fast with video, audio, and music apps. Hopefully there is usb c on the 15.
