I have this same set and I can recommend it for an average diy'er or a set to keep under your seat for emergencies. Is it a professional tool kit? Of course not. I have Snap-on, Sk, USA-made Craftsmen, etc., in my garage, but most people don't want to spend 300-400 bucks on a socket set they will only use (like you said) once a year. This set is fine for them.
Nice to see what is in the kit. True that is better than noting a great keep in the vehicle kit or for someone that just got their own place and needs to hang pictures or assemble furniture.
I bought one of these today as I’m getting into pinball machines and wanted a simple, dedicated set of tools for the maintenance so I wouldn’t have to intermingle my main set with fragile pinball parts. This seems to fit the bill. Nice video.
No bubble level for hanging pictures and other home improvement projects ... so, not really a comprehensive home owner's set. Otherwise, $10-$20 less expensive than comparable sets.
For 30 that’s not a bad kit but I wouldn’t expect much from it . Now the price is 40 for it and I don’t think that’s worth it . You could get a better set at Lowe’s or Home Depot even Walmart have better kits .
Looks like a big waste of money. The sockets look like those in their cheap $5 socket set. I bought that set once just because I needed a single socket from it and I figured it'd be a good deal to get a bunch more sockets for the same price as once. Well, the socket split on very first use, and I didn't even put it under much torque. So I fundamentally disagree with "any tool is better than no tool".
When I say any tool is better than no tool. I'm stating that for extreme circumstances. If you car broke down on the side of the road and a simple hand tool would fix it its worth its weight in gold. But yes these sockets are extremely cheap no doubt about that.

Well said. And why ride around with a grands worth of snap on when thieves love tools!
I have that in my vehicles as emergency kits. It's better than spending hundreds each on kits that I may use once or twice.
My motto is any tool is better than none.

In the store they are always all sealed up so you don't get a chance to check the quality of them before it's too late 😂
@@toptiergarage7378 my 3/8 Ratchet head is different from the one that’s in your box, mine has the black mold on it.

Perfect for small simple jobs and an emergency.
Meant to be an apartment/homeowner kit or car kit.
He has unrealistic expectations for a $30 tool kit. I have one of those under the seat for roadside emergencies.
You picked up 3 of them before you knew anything about them and you're whining? What did you expect for 30 bucks?

Better than Nothing kit.
Years ago I bought my kid a little tool kit that was made all of plastic. Those tools were better than these!
