It's about the pitchblende (Uranium ore). Czeckosovakia has the pitchblende deposits (its what Marie Curie used to find radium). Stalin had multiple spies in Los Alamos (including Klaus Fuchs) so he was not suprised by Trinity test in July. The Trinity test was the more complex (implosion) plutonium bomb, so Stalin had to known about simpler Uranium bomb (based on two pieces of Uranium being shot together in gun barrel and was dropped on Hiroshima). Hydroelectic dam could supply electricity for Uranium enrichment using gaseous centrifuges. U.S. probably wanted to supress centrifuge enrichment for two reasons: 1. Embarassment -- why did we use all the electricity in TN when there was a more efficient/easier way? 2. Nuclear Proliferation -- wanted Uranium enrichment to sound expensive and requiring massive quantities of electricity.
More than likely the Germans got most of there Uranium from the mines in the Belgium Congo via Angola and Portugal. The Belgians that ran the mines were sympathetic to the Nazi cause. Pitchblende would have a pretty low concentration of Uranium oxide the ore from the Belgium Congo was up to 75% pure!
When Germany invaded Belgium, they seized the uranium stored there. It was from the Katanga mine in the Belgian Congo. Uranium stored in France was seized. By annexing Czechoslovakia, the Germans had access to the uranium mine at Joachimstahl.@@stephenkolasa9838

The Egyptian connection post war with German scientists, not only concerned rocketry, there was also a Nuclear programme. This eventually caused some severe concerns, that ex-Nazi's may become involved in Nasser's attempt to eliminate Israel, using atom bombs, Genocide on quite a massive scale. This raised questions of unfinished Nazi business. The German Goverment in Bonn were very embarrassed with this and efforts were made to get the Germans out of Egypt. I’m not saying Patton wasn’t a good leader but let’s be honest, 2/3 of the German army was fighting on the eastern front, and the axis powers were basically just German in the Europe theater. If Patton had the same results facing the entire brunt of the German army, I’d give him more consideration. Germany had most of its best fighting units with the exception of maybe Rommel on the eastern front.

In 1945 the OSS in particular, the upper reaches of the US military staff and the international and political staff of the US administration was full of Soviet agents, fellow travelers and sympathizers. The reasons for Eisenhower's bizarre pivot from Berlin south are murky but he went into a strange "vacation" (at the height of the war!!!) just before he emerged with this decision. I believe that he was ordered to do this by his superiors and, as an almost completely and politically subservient general, he obeyed and kept it secret as instructed, even after he himself had been President. The only people who could order him in a matter this important were FDR, then clearly mentally and physically enfeebled and run by his staff (see Joe Biden), and George Marshall.
Yes eventually I will get to them as well and that might lead us into some of the former SS units set up around Europe in advance of the Cold War it's all about time and research :-) but I will get there
But, from all I know, Berlin was set to be captured by the russians, aggreed uppon at the Jalta summit, between Stalin, Churchill and Roosewelt. They drew up the partitian of Europe, and who should have witch areas post war. It was never ment for the americans to take Berlin..

In a film about the Bachem Natter, the wooden rocket plane, it is mentioned when and where ing. Hans Kammler took his life with the special poisen pill in glass, which were given to high ranking Nazis. And this was also how Martin Bormann and dr. Stumpfegger became identified as High Nazis, when found in former East Berlin in the seventies, during excavations close to the former Reichzkanzlei (Their bodies had glass splinters between their teeth, which claimed further research about who they were?).
Kammler survived the war and ended up working for the Americans.
@@AlexMarciniszyn-y1k Kammler was a ruthless but also very effective War Production manager, and several other Top Nazis ended up working in America. Walther Dornberger died during a vacation from the US, near the DORA facility in Kohnstein, I saw during a visit to there! Finn
36:30 140-TON rocket has never been built, because NO amount of conventional rocket-thrust-force could lift it off the ground!!! For comparison read the newest comment under:: ("Solving-Apollo-Enigma-1") which compares ("Apollo-Saturn-&-Bloodhound-SSC-Supersonic-Car")
Your best work Thank You !
Skoda and Siemens and AEG were basically everything companies. They even made parts for toys.
Just like today:-) I just wish they would share their research papers from than
@@tinostruckmann It's amazing how almost all of the "big" german companies came out of the war intact, and survive till this day, that may be connected to why they don't share their research, Good luck trying to get information from, Skoda, BMW, MAN, AEG, mercedes, Siemens, or even Volkswagen
Your videos get better and better thanks for the history lesson today.
Glad you like them! - I would like to think I get better:-)
@@tinostruckmann I'm 35 and remember when the history channel showed history. Even then it mainly focused on DDay and the island hopping campaign in the Pacific. My point is your getting exposure and interest out to a younger crowd who have been taught absolutely none of this.
Does anyone know if Tino done a video on the V2 SITE AT Watten ? in France, just i went through a while back and would love to see his views
opening caption spelling of general is incorrect, love your videos, cheers, bralen

Awesome job Tino.
SS General Dr. Hans Kammler is the embodiment of the master race and the spirit of the immortal German Volk !
I am not entirely sure what spirit of the German people is currently, honestly - but the food is good:-)
Another absolute pearler of a lecture, thank you my good man, thank you....perhaps when you are done here, you can do a series on the much feared tsunami bomb developed by New Zealand military scientists.....we to must have been infiltrated by Soviet spies as Mr Putin has hinted at Russian capability in this area😆😆😆😆
Some news and secrets could be uncovered
9:41 Hey! Isn´t that my father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate!

This is a great channel
thank you I do try:-)
ARE you doing anything on Hitlers ( grey wolf ) and the SS getting out of German before the end of the war Austria and other places
Yes eventually I will get to them as well and that might lead us into some of the former SS units set up around Europe in advance of the Cold War it's all about time and research :-) but I will get there
I assume that the US looked the other way or transported Kammler to South America.
But, from all I know, Berlin was set to be captured by the russians, aggreed uppon at the Jalta summit, between Stalin, Churchill and Roosewelt. They drew up the partitian of Europe, and who should have witch areas post war. It was never ment for the americans to take Berlin..
"without a shot was fired.*?? Is this English as a second language? It's just a really strange mistake to make.
Wunderbar, viel gelernt !! Danke schön !! 🐾
Thank you Timo.

ing. Sáva Medonos - winner of the German competition for processing technical documentation (VTEI) 1944 Škoda Plzeň, master of archiving of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, where he was in 05/1945 ???
I would imagine given the time frame he was working for Skoda? I would have to ask my friend there
