I've had one for about a year now, VERY handy and works for all our sewing & embroidery machine needles. What I like best is that it easily forces the needle to the very top while keeping it straight and then tightening. I had tried to create something similar with side-jaw forceps.
I just bought one and found the "official" RUclips video singularly unsatisfactory. It shows the lady holding the tool sideays, almost parallel to the front of the machine, not straight, at a right angle to the front face of the machine. The angle you insert the needle is essential for the proper functioning of the machine. Todays video technology is so good that it would be a cinch to make a video with clear close-ups,maybe with a few decent drawings included. I am convinced if this tool was properly explained and shown, tons more would be sold. I had to fiddle for a while to get it right. Super idea poorly marketed.
