I remember going on a school careers trip in 1979 around Abbey Park Road Depot and seeing 240, along with 246 and 179 (FUT 179/246V) when newly delivered.
Looking and sounding superb. I drove 240 quite often at Northampton, before she was converted to a trainer. Well done to all involved, and good to see it in Mr.Hilditch's 1990s Citybus livery.
That a lovely bus to drive was a regular driver for her for her previous owner it a credit to him that it still around as he did a lot of work to it from when he got it where it had no internal fixings which he had to find or get made up at considerable cost
