For me the best physique ever on a bodybuilding stage. It was all completely proportionate, along with great size and conditioning, with a tiny waist. His back that year was great, legs also.
Unfortunately, the third routine had to be cut due to copyright issues with the music. So that's why the vid ends so abruptly. But in case you're wondering, it was his performance at the 2002 Mr Olympia, my personal favourite. If you haven't seen it already do yourself a favour and look it up because it combines the best of both worlds and is spine-tinglingly EPIC!
2002 was his most epic for sure, damn what a routine!! His other best were 97' finland (he simply looks ridiculous there), 97 olympia posing on Franklin, 98' O godzilla track and 99' BGP, I also thought his posing 01' O was nice. One thing, since you like the more aesthetic physiques, have you seen Richard Jones, this guy looked insane, practically a second Shawn ray, he also has that amazing kneeling pose exposing the midsection.
Poses so gracefully and elegant. Truly uncrowned mr olympia few times. His physique is flawless. I admire the fact he kept coming year after year though he realised they wouldnt give him the title he deserved. Goes to show he loved doing BB and made peace with himself knowing he doesnt need to be approved by anyone as he knows his worth. The maryland muscle machine!
You know why 1997 is a perfect routine? Cause its effortless, he doesn't even seem like he is flexing. To me its the best posing routine ever, along with the best physique ever on stage. It's just the perfect combination of completeness, size, symmetry, conditioning, proportions and aesthetics.
man! compare this to Phil Heath posing this Olympia 2018! there's no breathing hard, no big gut and no losing control during the entire posing routine! Phil was breathing so hard that it was very noticeable which made him look gased out. Levrone's posing in the second routine was much more taxing and he kept his composure like a real champion!
I of course have favourite sportsmen and teams I support and therefore would like to see dominate the competition. But wouldn't it be so much better to have at least 5-6 more people to won the Olympia in the last 20-25 years? I mean even then no one would deny the greatness of Dorian, Coleman and Heath. But guys like Nasser, Levrone, Ray, Martinez, Wheeler and others would have 1-2 or more Sandows. A more even competition. Today it's about one guy and the others. But it's like a run for the silver medal, and not because someone's _that_ good, because that's rarely the case. Yes, today's competition is not that tough and Heath is head and shoulders above most of the guys out there. But I believe an injured Dorian or a bloated Coleman shouldn't have won.
For me actually the 2 first routines you showed are the best in bodybuilding ever. That second one i havent seen anyone other bring that feel to a posing routine.
He looked like a man of steel.. The striations on his legs in the most muscular pose make his legs look like its made from steel.. If only he was offered the role of the shape shifting liquid terminator in terminator 2!! Two legendary bodybuilders in one movie.. Arnold vs Levrone!!
the first routine was nicer to me. the second... mmm,he was as you said bigger, but also he had way less details due to his conditioning.first shape rules!
Some people say that Nasser should have won the '97 Mr. Olympia but I never saw it. Sure he could best Dorian in the mandatory poses from the front (except the Lat Spread), but Nasser was inferior to everyone in the top 6 from behind. If Dorian was undeserving because of his injuries that made his physique incomplete, then the same applies to Nasser with just about everything undefined from the rear. Once we bring free posing into the mix... Just watch Nassers routine - he barely put effort into it. Now after the '97 Olympia during the European Grand Prix tour, Kevin beat Nasser in every single show, and deservably so. Kevin was sharper than at the Olympia, but I still feel that both Kevin & Shawn should have placed ahead of Nasser at the Olympia. Uncrowned Mr. Olympia '97? Maybe Kevin would have won if he'd looked as good as he did in the first routine you show - just a short time after the Olympia...
Last time I've watched a "Nasser was robbed" video I realised that it was not him who's been robbed, but it was Shawn Ray at 3rd place. He had all the shape, symmetry and conditioning Nasser had from the front, but he could also hang with Dorian in the back department. Smaller, yes, but a complete bodybuilder. Should've been at least 2 or 3 times Mr. O, no matter how big of a prick he became (also, no wonder...).
Who is to say that aesthetic proportions with full muscle bellies isn't the ideal bodybuilder? personally I'll take Levrone over Yates and Ronnie any day
I'd also recommend checking out Levrone's 1992 Olympia routine, where he posed to operatic music. It was dramatic and awe-inspiring. Also one of his most ripped stage appearances, to my knowledge. ruclips.net/video/EItlq2w0WWE/видео.html
Aesthetics are great and there should be two different categories. It is so hard to judge physiques with all the different criteria! Kevin’s legs were a little behind his upper body but him, zFlex and Shawn were all great posers’
1998 NOC seemed to be his peak in terms of size and conditioning. He was slightly off at the O by comparison, in 1999 he was very off and his legs had already started to go.
Yeah I loved his routines in 99 but his physique wasn't the sharpest that year. I will have to check out the 98 NOC again I don't remember what he looked like there
Or he just didn’t diet as much. Great genetics and stronger than most body builders. He probably just kept the gear in longer and dieted less. Everyone with this insulin bs. I’m gonna have to try and see what the hype is. Diet gear and training is all it takes. Hgh as well.
The best version of Kevin would have never been able to beat a prime Phil Heath. He would be competitive from the front but not the back. I also think Kevin didn't have the wheels to hang with Phil.
his legs were great up until 98 or so phil form the front is easily beaten by kevin front lat spread levrone is killing heath all day front double biceps kevin wins.Phil looks awkward and narrow in the FDB, he doesnt hit it effectively and that also hurts him abs & thigh?kevin easily most muscular?hands clasped levrone, standard version proly heath side chest kevin easily side triceps debatable, probably heath , levrone doesnt hit the pose effectively levrones rear lat spread is comparable , he has alot more width and taper, phil only has detail but lat spread poses are mostly about width not detail.Detail is alot more important in the back double bi, which Phil yes dominates kevin easily wins all relaxed poses , has more overall size in his late 90s version and far better posing so if you think phil would beat kevin, you're in denial phils legs are hardly amazing, they just look huge due to his narrow torso out of the top 6 at the O most guys have better wheels. Ramy, Rhoden, Kai when he competed, Branch when he competed, Jay...all owned phil in the legs department
@@TheLusianPopa kevin Levrone in his prime vs phil heath in his prime. FLS ( Levrone) much more width, more impressive v taper just as good arms as phil. FDB ( phil ) in his prime his waist was small and he didn't look awkward like he does now. Way better biceps and forearms than Levrone. Much better quads sweep and better calfs ( can't believe you said Phil's legs only look big because of his narrow shoulders lol his legs are massive ) SC ( phil ) again on his prime his waist was small so everything else looked massive. His arms are bigger and more detailed than Levrones. Fuller and thicker chest and his legs are bigger. ST ( phil ) hits the pose way better than Levrone A&T ( Levrone) all day BDB ( phil ) too much detail more lower let thickness and way more conditioned glutes and hams and better calfs. BLS ( phil )better calfs hams and glutes ( way better ) not as wide as Levrone but more detailed and just as thick. MM ( tie ) so in my opinion phil easily beats Levrone.

1997 is my personal favorite, especially with the stalingrad theme under it which makes it even more beautifull. Kevin was totally robbed that year. Its really unbelievable how No arms dorian won that olympia. Hell, even Nasser was much better than him. Kevin is without a doubt uncrowned Mr olympia 1997
You mean at the Olympia? I'll have to double check but anyway this wasn't about his best shape this was just to showcase his posing. 4th place is pretty bullshit though. Him and Shawn got the short end of the stick so many times
Yep, but you know how politics work. Even when you stick out of the crowd they'll find an excuse to keep you down. Way down. There are 2 vids here on RUclips of Kevin 1997 vs Phil 2016 and a vid of Kevin 1998, from which i claim he looks the best ever. When you see the vids, you'll get my point. Mass with Class.
Levrone, Flex and Shawn Ray each deserved a Sandow.
Amen!!!!!!
Μany deserved a sandow others deserved more medals but can you do
no doubt.....3 of the top 10 bodybuilders of all time easily! maybe 3 of the top 5 in regards to aesthetics....
flex IDK, but shawn ray 100% in 1994
I feel like 97 levrone in the silver trunks is the most perfect physique
For me the best physique ever on a bodybuilding stage. It was all completely proportionate, along with great size and conditioning, with a tiny waist. His back that year was great, legs also.

The first posing routine gave me goosebumps.. perfect song selection with Amazing physique. I agree, that Kevin is a uncrowned Mr. O a few times over.
Please what song is from his 97 routine. (1st routine).

The first one was indescribable in words. Personally I never seen like it. If I can say one word, it would be perfection.
I think it's because Kevin appreciates the music as well that he's able to tie in the posing in music so nicely.
Yeah Kevin and Shawn Ray are the best phisique's to me.
Kevins always been my favourite poser, and best physique of all time #Perfection
6:11 that move he did right there might just be the smoothest transition of all time Kevin was such a world class poser🙌🐐
How mass monsters should look like ! Perfect example , flow, mass, transitions, taper. Excellentw(silver trunk)
I never realised how amazing his physique was!
Kevin is the best shape and form ever.
Back twisting double tricep you mean?
I miss these old tomn8er videos so nostalgic
The accent in the beginning I always hated. Glad that's out
word for word i agree.. gets me pumped! simply the best and my fav!
Great post man! .. I'd forgotten how great Levrone was. What a bull! And not a blob. ;)
Levrone, maybe most versatile and one of the best overall poset of all time!
Great work bro. Kevin is amazing!
Wow a true legend and still going strong more than two decades later! ❤️💪🏻

awesome video great posing from KevLevrone 💯👌🏾
They used to call Levrone the Rubic's cube of bodybuilding.
For me actually the 2 first routines you showed are the best in bodybuilding ever. That second one i havent seen anyone other bring that feel to a posing routine.
2:36 one of his signature poses
Back then posing was an art form. Nowadays they only hit mandatory poses.
Appreciate it
My favourite bodybuilder
OK now it’s time to hit the gym LOL thank you for the video great!
His posing were out standing man.
perfection kevin levrone

Agree with every word brother !!
Beauty and the Beast! well said...
BODY OF A TRUE MUSCLE GOD CHAMPION SO HYPNOTIC
damn that second routine was intense. awesome. bodybuilding at its peak. but that first routine he looks a greek god
He should've won at least one MR.O but the judges I think was told who they wanted to win Dorin they did the same with Phil.
My favorite bodybuilder of all time
Amazing. Sorry. Didn’t see first post about music. Angel. Jon Seceda. Fav body builder of all time.
Super Kevin
No bubblegut !!!
Levrone,Flex and Shaun Ray best body builders ever each one deserves at least one Mr O title
I really liked his smaller size. In the last clip he relaxed when the music was over and his belly let loose.
the first routine was nicer to me. the second... mmm,he was as you said bigger, but also he had way less details due to his conditioning.first shape rules!
If ya want aesthetics you gotta check out his 2001 Mr Olympia routine
His legs were undersized in 01
Can you do video about big ramy please
put the stalingrad soundtrack on the first routine and it will become even more beautiful! btw my most fav routine is probably the 1992 of him
1992 was also amazing but I like the greater mass and fullness of that 97 show but otherwise they're both pretty similar quality routines
