It was real. It actually has some creepy history. People who lived there in 1700s said they saw creatures walking the border of the town and eventually everyone who said it lost there mind. Then by 1900 it was abandoned. And in the early 20th century a doctor and his wife bought it and built a house on the property. They had to do it themselves because no local carpenter would do it for them. And then the dr had to go back to NYC for an emergency call some time after they moved in and his wife was left there for around two days. When he got back he noticed his wife wasn't at the train station and thought it was weird cause she seemed scared for him to leave. Then when he arrived at his house the door was open and he heard his wife upstairs laughing uncontrollably and when he saw her she was perfectly still with her mouth wide open, yet the laughter was still coming from her. Then she ended up losing her mind and when they moved back to NYC, she killed herself.
