I’m pretty sure I’m more conservative than you (born in the south and it is in my genes to have a little) but I do believe we should pay attention to what our children and stop blaming book store and libraries for what they consume and/are reading but once they get into high school they are going to be making more adult choices and the parents are not gonna even want to think about what they google lol. I’m not going to read this book but only because I too cheap to buy it right now 😂
Out on a limb, I think a good majority are more conservative than I am lol. That whole "you'll get more conservative as you get older" thing, DID NOT happen 😂 I definitely remember being 11/12 and reading Go Ask Alice and Jaws and those are definitely not appropriate for that age but they were in the house and not my dad's lunchbox John Grisham. Not being a parent I can't say for sure what I would let my children read or not and at what age but I really do think making a big fuss about something makes the kids more interested in finding it to find out why. Book bans can be a real catch-22.
