Put one on my 22 Silverado and it leaked like hell ! The dealer worked on it gave up and got another one a month later this one leaked less and is going back to the dealer good luck with yours.
I had one of these and it leaked like crazy, many adjustments still leaked. Trashed it and got a Diamondback HD, best purchase I ever made! Good video I’m glad you like yours wished mine worked but not for everyone.
Thanks for the shoutout! I really appreciate that👍. Great review and I really like that cover. If I get one, I think that would be it! Now I just need to get ahold of Ultra Flex!!!!
*Application 2017 F150, Super-cab, with 6.5 bed: **do7.pl/TonneauCover** This is my third tri-fold cover; the first two were for my old Ford truck and were the Bak-flip brand. Due to brand loyalty I was ready to buy another Bak-flip product but did a lot of research and decided to try the Undercover Ultra-flex. I'm more than pleased with my choice, which seems superior to my old covers on all levels. The install is straight-forward and simple; the fit and finish are perfect, and after several drive-thru washings (as well as some serious rain storms), the bed stays virtually dry.I debated whether to purchase directly from the manufacturer, but decided to order from Amazon due to past positive experience and of course 2-day shipping. Make sure you cross-check the fit for your particular application. This is a quality product, which I highly recommend.*
Thanks, nice review. I just have one question. Did you lose the functionality of your original truck rails? I often slide in the bed cleats and position them in different places, so that I can bungee cargo down. Once this is installed, It looks to me like you wouldnt be able to position bed cleats anymore. Am I right?
Can you do a 1 year review on this cover? I planning to buy one but I heard lots of bad things about the undercover flex, hopefully the ultraflex is better quality. Thanks.
Alex Mortarotti Thank you and I can’t notice any noise at all unless it’s in the stand up position. Then you can hear a slight whistle. None while it’s down though.
How is it for dents and searches? Please let me know cause I am looking to buy this cover soon . But want to see if it will dent or scratch if I put my helmet or whatever on top of it when loading or unloading stuff
Joe Rutkowsky I don’t have any dents or scratches in mine that I can see. No I’m sure if you drag something rough across it you could scratch it or if you hit it hard enough that it would dent. Mine doesn’t show any though. 👍
What sucks is now I cant get the tie downs on the rails and basically you cant use the rail system at all because the cover brackets use the rails. I wanted to get the sliding cargo net but now it would be useless, thoughts?
Great tonneau cover I had a BakFlip F4 almost the same Also on the Mods WeatherTech has laser fit floor cover that is great for snow and dirt water etc to protect carpets and it drains out over ( under ) the door sill Also they make 3M headlamp covers they are great and will protect the headlamps from crazing and eventually becoming scratched/ aging and potentially dimming also for the plastics and tires and interior plastic 303 aerospace protectant it isn’t gummy like any others also I believe it works on leather too it protects against sun fade won’t harm the paint either learned about it Tundra Owners website I will say it’s the best did my friends Mercedes RV with it the Fiberglass and everything it is great stuff lol hope I don’t sound like a commercial but I had my truck 6 years 140k Miles only needed a water pump and battery probably could have used spark plugs but I traded it Michelin tires after the BF Goodrich went nearly 80 k and still had plenty of tread left lots of hwy miles on it never any issues ever miss it too but my Lexus LS is a great car too I’ll get another truck one day got a Tacoma in the Driveway and it’s smaller but sweet Lexus V6 runs great Had to economize a bit for a while the headlamp covers will protect the plastic headlamp lens well worth the money and effort to keep the lights like New I think that’s it for now like your exhaust mod and intake mod did it increase 0 to 60 times ?
bsu1960 Not sure if increased the 0-60 I does feel like it pulls stronger. I actually had Perma Plate installed from the factory that guarantees no headlight or leather fading or cracking. If it does they replace it free of charge.
I’m a new truck owner and I bought the same bed cover for my Tundra Crewmax Limited. One thing I do not like about the cover is I can’t use the bedrails anymore for anything else. I couldn’t use the cleats. Would you be able to recommend alternative bed accessories to be able to tie down or clamp down big things in my truck bed. Thanks!
Question, I have a 2007 Tundra with only 40,000 miles. I went to buy one of these and the very week I was going to buy it my tailgate broke, it wouldn’t open. The .05 cent plastic bushing on the wire latch snapped. If I would have had the cover installed how would I have gotten it open? The access panel is on the rear of the tailgate. Any suggestions?
Question hv a 2006 Toyota Tundra dbl cab 4x4 v8 sr5 measured 75 inch Mabe off 1 inch looking to buy a flex undercover tonneau will it fit because I see the measurements are 6.5 feet long??
Ewan Laing I think I ordered mine for my specific truck from the place I got mine. If your ordering online if you put in your truck even if it’s off a little I should still fit I would think.
Nice bed cover for sure. Seems a little pricey. I could see it at $450-$500, but not $989, that's high. It's not rocket science, it's a flipping bed cover. They can keep it for that price.
Thomas Sankara The company I bought it from actually installed mine. From what the guy said if you already have the rail installed on your truck it’s supposed to come with everything else needed
Nice Video. I had my eye on this one. BUT I haul big fire wood logs so I have to remove it completely to not damage anything. I live in cold climate and worry about the top sections and drain system freezing, the top in the sun would thaw from sun before the drain hose. How secure? I see just a coat hanger with a little bend in it, over the tail gate and you can yank on the cable.
Thats an easy fix, I've seen where u take two 1"X10" pieces of angle iron thats about 3/16" thick and using the same length as the existing screws that are used for the latch & screw each piece under the cover close to the exposed cables to block the path of a clothes hanger etc. Also I've seen where they screw on a slide lever locking gate latch under the cover as well. I know these should have better ways to keep thieves out especially after paying around $1K, but they dont have that for us for now lol.
Andrew Jackson Really the main thing was I decided I wanted this style of cover. They all pretty much looked like they were all made in the same factory to me. Or at least the ones all my local shops had. They had this one in stock. It was just a little bit more expensive but since it was in stock I just went ahead and purchased it. It’s been a great cover so far. I’ve had it about 7 months or so now.
It's tonneau....mono. Not tonneau..... canoe. And besides the hard one piece Undercover is much better. It only weighs 50lbs and multiple full grown men can stand on it. Very durable. Other than that, I like the vid, good job.
Hello, how much weight can the cover hold on top? Can you walk across it? Also I noticed the way you unlatch it to open it, can someone take a hanger slide it over the tailgate and under the cover and hook on to the cable to unlatch the cover?
Not sure about how much weight it can support, I’ve never tried to walk on it and not sure if it would be sturdy enough to to or not. I’ve seen where these types of covers can be opened that way I may have to try mine to see if it can.
I guess more specifically can you still use the tie down cleats...I see it is installed in the deck rail system but can the cover still close with the cleats in the rails?
@@starwolf9824 Correction they do work with the deck rail system! Just installed the Mx4 bak flip on mine. I don't have the rails, but in the order options you can get them with or without.
Worst cover I have ever had, three years and rebuilt twice with warranty parts. This cover also leaks like crazy. The bag is complete junk as is the light.
Ton-new cover love the accent and love how your southern shows how everyone is special and different. I say potatoes and my grandmother says taters
If you think he has an accent, you s

Picked one of these up for a road trip to Denver in July. Comes is very handy. I actually think it helped me get better MPG on the highway.

Thanks for the shoutout! I really appreciate that👍. Great review and I really like that cover. If I get one, I think that would be it! Now I just need to get ahold of Ultra Flex!!!!
ThrobbNation Diamondback makes a really nice cover. Strong enough that people have transported ATV's on top of them.
6:03 I've definitely been needing something to keep my rod from flopping around.
Yea it’s less noticeable that way lol
Just bought this cover and little that I can’t use my tie down Anchors because the new railing is in the way and being utilized with the new cover.
Nope it sits so close it doesn’t allow use of those anymore. I tried to find some that would work but haven’t been able to yet.
Great cover review. I love that it is low profile.
This is very similar to the MX4 flip I have. Nice covers! Great vid!
Tundra Whisperer Thank you Wade. I’ve seen the MC4 they are very similar.
Love this guys voice Haha! Great job!

Good video Gear Runner! Will the tie down cleats that fit in channel work with this cover?

Is there a cover just like this one that you can open without drooping the tailgate? Can also be locked of course.
jbw5485 I’m not going to say that there isn’t but I don’t know of any. Most of them that I have seen either roll up or are 1 piece.
Great video! Really looks good!
Hi it's very nice I was thinking 💭 of getting one for my Tundra but they are very expensive.thank you for the video.
You can try a hard trifold that sits on top of bed rails for $400. Minor limitations compared to inside mount.
Where do you get those clamps?
nice cover Gear ! thanks for the review

30minforasn I actually got it from a place called Truck Toys. It’s a local truck accessory store.
I have a2019 TT platnium with tie down rails will this model work with the tie down rail system the truck already has?
It will not, I had to take off my cleats. You don’t have to totally remove the rail system itself but the cleats won’t fit with it on.
