this is so high tech compared to what the maldivians use, we catch marlin and all the game fish on handline, we have a fishing handline roll with some 100kg fishing line and we sometimes use rope, rope i mean we cut the end of it and make it fuzzy (this is only for marlin and wahoo) and for trolling in the old days they trolled with squid and nowadays we buy trolling rigs and attach it to the end, but yeah we still use handline for 150+ kilo gram marlin!
