Dear Print please report on the ongoing APPSC paper scam going on in Arunachal Pradesh right now. It a huge scam for government job that had been going on in Arunachal since generation and the truth has come to earth only recently. Also the BJP Pema government is not at all taking this issue seriously since very high post holding officials are involved in this scam. Please do a video to bring this to public knowledge 🙏🙏🙏
An intelligence person saying that he had no idea what was going on in Kashmir in 1988-89-90 and that things went out of control amply points to how inefficient they were in their job.
Having listened tp Dulat, one can safely conclude that Modi did it absolutely right by abolishing Art 370; it destroyed all the pernicious ecosystem built around it; there is no Pakistan, no Abdullah, no Hurriat, no Mufti and of course, no Dulat!! From 80s to 2014, these politicians, middlemen and peddlers of peace took us for a long ride!
It is a perfectly legitimate reaction and conclusion. No doubt about the gangrenous history of Ksshmir-India-Pakistan. Except for one critical issue. To make Kashmir become an organic part of India ( it technically is a part of India ), we need grass roots political processes to re-emerge with a new social consciousness, new leadership with new hopes . That will take time. In the interim we all have to go back to the debauched leaders of today to hold interim political fort and not allow a vacuum to descend. We need the Farouques, Mehboobas. Btw the Hurriyat came into existence with our approval as the political process had died down and Farouqye had fled. We must also remember that Pakistan and Kashmir have a post colonial genesis and were kept alive at the geo political level by forces and powers far bigger than us. The time to reverse that has come.
agree, this AS Dulat represents the old lethargic backfoot way of thinking. He advocated talks with Geelani, Mirwaiz and even pakistan based terrori$ts. Modi-Shah came and broke the chains. They engaged with local elected Kashmiris who swore by India's constitution, without compromising on terrorism and stonepelters. And then Modi Shah took the decisive step of abrogating Article 370 and separate Ladakh. AS Dulat is a mouse - a rather talkative mouse at that - whose claim to fame is that he collaborated with ISI chief to write a book ! Useless career diplomat AS Dulat - u failed India. No need to rationalize your failures via books
His book should rather have it's title as " my best friend Farooq and his unquestionable intelligence" .....print really needs to up their game ...they interviewed a clown ....
Mr.Dulat, talks of going to Kashmir thinking it will be like a holiday and then there were blasts. Why should anyone be surprised at deterioration of law and order when the officials are holidaying in the name of duty.
Ex-ISI Chief, General ASAD Durrani counts uprising in Kashmir as the biggest achievement of ISI during his interview at Oxford. This man failed totally in assessing the situation. It was during his tenure that Hindu Kashmiri Pandits were massacred . He keeps blaming others in lieu of blaming himself for the failure of intelligence gathering.
agree. This AS Dulat represents the old lethargic backfoot way of thinking. He advocated talks with Geelani, Mirwaiz and even pakistan based terrorists. Modi-Shah came and broke the chains. They engaged with local elected Kashmiris who swore by India's constitution, without compromising on terrorism and stone-pelters. And then Modi Shah - worthy sons of Mother India - abrogated Article 370 and separated Ladakh. AS Dulat is a mouse - a rather talkative mouse at that - whose claim to fame is that he collaborated with ISI chief to write a book ! Useless career diplomat
Very correct. He seems to be unashamed to recollect his inefficiency and uselessness. Such officials were aplenty in the government. Now he writes books. WTF!!
Which political leader made this man as raw chief ? It was horrible choice. A RAW chief don't know who were people behind kashmiri hindu genocide. He is reluctant to call it ethnic cleansing. He is part old ecosystem that played from both side.
"It was not the ISI; it was JKLF". What kind of sub optimal people we had for some of the top jobs. A head of Intelligence thinks ISI is not behind JKLF and the funding every inch of every anti-national activity including 100% of funding. Intelligence. The word needs a new definition after hearing this.
This guy is totally out of his mind. Initially he says, 370 revocation was un necessary , since 370 was already dead. Then later he has to admit that revocation of 370 yielded results. He says tough stand won't work. But India tried his way of dialogues for 70 years and that strategy failed miserably. And later in the discussion, he again admit that Ajit doval's tough stand worked.. Not sure this man really deserved the RAW post.Multiple times during the interview, he ate his own words
He accepted that his soft position was incorrect. He believed that appeasement to Kashmiri radicals and Pakistan would be helpful, but he turned out to be wrong. Ajit Doval hard stance against radicals and Pakistan have worked and delivered results.
agree - he is a useless career bureaucrat. He knows his conciliatory methods did not work. He knows Modi Shah decisive actions of 370 / ladakh separation have helped India shift goalpost permanently. So this loser is trying to rationalize his failures with books
Mr Dulat had miserably failed to gather any intelligence on the imminent threat of a genocide and resulting exodus of Kashmiri Pundits from the valley in year 1989. He remains mesmerised with Farooq Abdulla and eulogises him and his policies as the foremost key to lasting peace. Both history and the present times have proved him wrong. J&K continues making firm progress by pursuing a paradigm shift in the policy for resolving the complex issue.
The solution to Kashmir is in weakening Pakistan in every possible way. Some actions may have nothing to do with Kashmir, but it's impact will be there in Kashmir which would be favourable to Bharat.
The Kashmir crisis has three parties besides the Kashmiri people, India, Pakistan, and china, all three countries own parts of Kashmir. Revoking 370 unilaterally by India, changing the status quo of Kashmir, triggered Chinese incursion into Kashmir Ladakh, and lost 1000 km of Indian Kashmir land to China.
Mufti Saheb , Sheikh Sahab , Farook Saheb , JKLF boys ..... tallest leader of Kashmir. The party in Delhi .....Both these people are definitely part of the tukde tukde gang .What happened in J.K. in 1989-90 is not an exodus .
@theprint Please request your correspondent, Jyoti Malhotra, to let people speak. I’m not sure why does the Arnab Goswami’s energy get into her when she is facilitating interviews. While the spontaneity is great, it’s not always helpful to keep interjecting the interviewee. Let them speak and finish their thoughts, and then she can ask the questions later. If the video needs to be cut short due to time constraints, it can be done later in the edit. I hope you’ll take note of this.
The UN Resolution of 1948 also held that the merger of the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir was legal. The UN Resolution said any referendum could be held only after Pakistan withdrew its troops from the occupied territories.
Finally athe cat is out of the bag .Dullt has shown that he was grossly incompetent in his job in kashmir,it was a blunder in sending him to Kashmir and making him raw chief. An out and out gadar.
Mr.Dulat’s new book is on the lines of his earlier ones. His fondness for Farooq Abdullah and dislike for Modi is reconfirmed in his this book as well as this conversation. It goes to the extent of call the PM as “Modi” and Farooq as Dr.Sahib.A colloquial Freudian slip.He also does not hide his disdain for BJP and Jagmohan .His analysis is biased and dishonest. His concern for Kashmiri Pandits is non existent, in fact he is quite against them which was exhibited during his many interviews and his comments on the movie “Kashmir Files”. The Print should get better profiles to their shows.Such interviews negatively impact the brand image of Print!
He is depressed person.... All his friends Abdullas, muftis, congress, gilanis, huriyats and pakistani ISI etc. are out of the game.... This interview is serious attempt to bring all of them back.
If you have a large enough muslim concentration and a viable islamic country nearby, it is inevitable that they will try to wipe out the constituent non-muslim population there and join the islamic country. At the other end of Kashmir is Kerala and you only have to read the ideas and thoughts of muslims there to see this in action. And yet most of these self-styled intellectual types try to impute political or other reasons to the plain religious islamic issue in Kashmir. He is even trying to pass off heresay from some boys as the reasons for the hindu ethnic cleansing. We need in security forces people who knows who our enemy is and don't try to make excuses for them.
JKLF Boys, Geelani ji, Allah’s Kashmir, Farooq the tallest Muslim leader, I am not a Pakistan expert but my Mian Nawaz, I am the soft type unlike Ajit Doval who carries a stick… This guy clearly sold stories, secrets for the cheapest whisky/women. This traitor walks around peddling the same without any remorse… painful to listen to. A S Dulat(s) are worse than the Yasmin Malik(s).
Impossible to imagine that Mr. Dulat doesn't know who gave the call to pandits to leave the valley. He is a liar,,, hard to believe that the head of RAW in Kashmir in 1989 doesn't know it,,, he should be investigated for the genocide
If kashmir has truly moved on, then the resettlement of displaced hindus and reconstruction of demolished heritage sites in the region like the Marthand Sun temple seems to be the way forward. Moreover protection and promotion of minority communities in the state of jammu and kashmir (minorities in the state, not minorities in the country) is necessary to promote the spirit of "secularism" and counter "islamic fundamentalism". Eventually, reclamation of poJK could follow so that the fragmented region can be made whole again. I am sure kashmiris and pakistan will accept and move on after each of these steps too, seeing how they have accepted and moved on after the recent change in the status quo after the abrogation of article 370. Then we can have lasting peace.
Mr Dulat too cultivated deeply the late Brijesh Mishra, NSA and Principal Secy to the late Shri Vajpayee, the then PM, to catapult to the position of Chief or RAW all of a sudden, having never worked in the agency in the past. His so-called expertise in the Kashmir affairs was of no use and nothing was achieved during his tenure on this score except pampering the late Geelani and Co of the anti India hurriyet conference.
Let me give a view here about Mr Dulat. He was running IB in Srinagar and under his watch the exodus of Kashmiri Pandit happened. He did not foresaw the terrorist attacks or killing of Kashmiri Pandits. Now I am not sure what is the benchmark for underformance in IB. If I perform around 10% as bad in my current job, I will be fired tomorrow. However, Mr Dulat went on to become RAW chief. Now if 370 was just a fig leaf, can Mr Dulat explain why the same J&K police is performing exceptionally well under Centre. There is nobody carrying a Pakistani flag or throwing stones. The residents can actually vote now. The conflict economy is being dismantled now.
Kashmir has been a religious problem rather than any thing since the very beginning! Why Jammatis wanted to go with Pakistan and still they believe that 1947 Sheikh Abdulla did a mistake!
One more over eulogised icon busted. These people were Lutyens yes men and mesmerised by the Nehru and Abdullahs and clearly seem to be even now. Very disappointed to know who he really is/was. PM Modi has a TOUGH job removing the remaining decadent bureaucrats with no imagination- innovation and too much of Ji Huzoori. Need people like our Jai Shankarji as good leaders promote such people down the line
This joker saying "I am not a Pakistan expert" Can't believe he was made RAW chief...... He is biggest failure for India... What the hell was he doing....trying to be a "go between" between Delhi and Farooq abdulla..... He doesn't know the biggest threat to India at that time
I am surprised by Dulat's comments. 370 was not a fig leaf. It provided dual citizenship and treated Hindus as second rate citizens, not revising electoral roles in 2006..8 when it was done all over India, not allowing Indians to settle in Kashmir and VOTE. And so on.
Sheikh backed the wrong horse before 1947. And when he knew he had no place in JInnah's Kashmir, he sided with Nehru, not because he believed in religious pluralism and secularism and democracy etc, but he knew where he can wield power. . That has been the tragedy of Kashmir. Everything that went wrong in Kashmir can be traced to Sheikh and his family.
I think Mr. Daulat being part of intelligence agency and saying he doesn't know how things went out of hand, is a utmost demonstration of inefficient attitude. He went to Kashmir thinking it is a good place to have vacation is quite shocking. We suffered as a country because of these Babu approaches.
It took Modi to finish this biryani culture nurtured by the people like Abdullah's,Dulat's and Mufti's who benefited from it. This guy was a best pal of Abdullah's who still dream of the old days when he was calling the shots in the valley.
Jyoti has a perpetual habit of being the spokesperson rather than her guest. This has been mentioned before. Now : as a RAW chief , Mr Daulat seems to be a part of he Kashmir problem. Further Farooq is the most unreliable leader masquerading as pro India. Given the Islamic and Pakistani subversion and toxic religious fervour in the mix , the only way out is a tough muscular position and strong handed approach to solve the problem. It is showing results.
Mr. Dulat has come across a bit more tactical in his interview here. I’m sensing old age and some misplaced pride residual of his former position that has pushed his old tired mind into his analysis. Utmost respect to the positions he’s held, an officer of his position should refrain from delving into soothsaying. Anyway, wish him peace and happiness in his retirement. Disappointed a little tbh.
Mr. Daulat and Mrs. Malhotra can continue to call it a Kashmiri Pandit/Hindu "Exodus" or "Migration" but the fact remains, it was a pogrom and a Genocide, not even ethnic cleansing.
I don't understand why India's intelligence agencies didn't apprehend what happened in Kashmir in 88-90. It Put questions on India's intelligence capabilities.
@@srinisbir8781 I don't think so, its 9 years since BjP in Power and 6 years during 98-04, but still there are target killings in Kashmir. I don't understand why our intelligence agencies are so impotent that they are unable to control area as small of valley with limited population. It's so pathetic when everyone seems to be expert on kashmir but still no one can contend that.
@@ankitlamba4253 well Modi's BJP is different from previous BJP. This is exemplified by no major terror attacks since 2014 on civilians, compared to that during 10 years of UPA. so, you cannot blame intelligence agencies for that. You need an iron gloved hand as that of Modi.
@@ankitlamba4253 there were many more target killings during UPA, but media chose to normalize it. Moreover, situation in Kashmir has become much harder over the years becuase of inaction during late 80s and all throughout the 90s. Our previous govts ceded to the terrorists to lay a strong base in Kashmir. Things will improve over time from now on.
@@srinisbir8781 well that's problem with we are comparing bad with worst. Uri , pathankot , Pulwama, and numerous target killings. Somehow we have learned to live with it. And that's serious issue.
He can be a Kashmiri, he's certainly not Indian. For he speaks of Pakistan and seeks Chibese help, during Galwan he blamed road construction at the border the issue etc. He can be shrewd but in the last 10-years he has been turned into a comic character mocking his own plight.
Do not agree with him at all on 370. If it was dead in 1975 then why the age old discrimination was going on for non-Kashmiri status to lakhs of people, lowly jobs for so called non-Kashmiri residents living there for last 200 years and no property rights to girls getting married to rest of Indians. Why they were not flying Indian flag anywhere in Kashmir. Girls were not getting rights as per the Indian constitution. I find him to be a person of defeatist character on all fronts.
@@vishalkadian9860 Irrelevant. Kashmir was part of India as it was sold for cash by the Britishers to the Maharaja of Kashmir and once the agreement had been signed, there was no requirement of the temporary provision. It will take time, but people will be relocated as local population is getting out of the religious clutches of Pakistan.
@@devendrasinghdalal2900 Ppl are being killed and Kashmiri employees are not going to work ( LG Manoj Sinha’s remarks u must have heard about them ) and you are talking that ppl will be relocated. What a joke 🤣🤣🤣🙌🏻🙌🏻
Not a particularly enlightened interview personality. I think The Print should interview better personalities. Dulat seems to be a dedicated Faroukh fan and that seems to have coloured his views
ASD came across as an incompetent and ineffective intelligence officer in this interview. Firstly, he trivalized the plight of Pundits during his tenure - looks he went their to play golf or enjoy the vacation in Valley. Secondly, he comes across as the person hand in glove with then ruling class of state, for which he is still batting. These are the same people who could not deliver to their constituents and neglected the development of the state. Thirdly, he did not have an iota of sense about the common man on the streets of the state of J & K, which was his primary responsibility. So, failure on all fronts and rightly, he rose to the level of his incompetence. Not surprised at the plight of people of the country, run by such bureaucrats. Hope things are changing for good now, though transition is going to be painful for some and taking time. 🙏🏻
But the problem with Mia is that his party is losing elections right and left that too in Punjab province so much so that this kicdi of thirteen parties is scared to hold even local body elections, and don’t forget that Bajwa is done and dusted, it may take few months to clear pak army of Bajwas ruminants.
He is talking the language of Farooq Abdullah. Not surprised that when he was RAW chief under his nose ISI could carry out such activity in Kashmir. God bless him.
This person, dulat, says this and that being the reason for kashmir issue. However, not a once he got the idea that kashmir is battle of civilization. What do you think, Exodus of kashmiri pandits was there in 1989,noo it's been since ages. The famous king of Muslim kashmir is sikander butshikan or sikander the idol destroyer. The ideology is the problem. The only thing that is keeping Hindus safe is the demographic advantage. Once the other side becomes more than 50% , all this democracy, soft spoken words, decency, analysis, due diligence will go to hell. That's a fact and that's what data says
SOME INFORMATION ABOUT SAIF ALI KHAN: In mid-2020, Saif Ali Khan of Bollywood had announced that he would publish his autobiography by 2021. But it has not come out yet, even after two and a half years. In this context, a brief touch on his family information is made here, which many Indians may not know. Saif Ali Khan is son of famous Indian cricketer Mansur Ali Khan, and is a descendant of Nawab of Pataudi, a small princely state of British India (located in present day Haryana), with only 52 square miles area and 40 villages. The princely state of Pataudi was established in 1804 by the British East India Company. Faiz Talab Khan, an Afghan mercenary from ethnic Pashtun of Sarbani tribe of Kandahar was the first Nawab of Pataudi. He aided British East India Company in its battle to win against the Marathas in the Second Anglo-Maratha War and got the princely state of Pataudi as the reward. However, Saif’s innate glamour and wealth are rooted in his paternal grand mother’s side in Bhopal. She was the younger daughter of Nawab of Bhopal. Bhopal was one of the big princely states of British India. Nawab of Bhopal was a staunch supporter of Indian Muslim League and wanted to make Bhopal a part of Pakistan. Nawab even sent his elder daughter to Karachi during partition and got her family settled there. Nawab of Bhopal, after becoming unsuccessful to be a part of Pakistan, declared Bhopal as an independent state. Civil unrest grew-up for merger of Bhopal with India and many Hindu agitators were killed by Nawab’s police. Finally on 30th April 1949, Sardar Patel forced the Nawab to sign the accession treaty and Bhopal became a part of India. So Indian-ness of Saif Ali Khan is a mixture of stroke of luck for failure of Bhopal to become a part of Pakistan or an independent state. Pakistani ex-diplomat and ex-Foreign Secretary Shaharyar Khan and Pakistani ex-Major General Isfandiyar Ali Khan are first cousins of Saif’s father from his mother’s and father’s side respectively. While Shaharyar Khan is the son of elder sister of Mansur Ali Khan’s mother, Isfandiyar Ali Khan is the son of Mansur Ali Khan’s won paternal uncle Sher Ali Khan. Sher Ali Khan was the younger brother of Mansur Ali Khan’s father. He was an officer in British Indian Army. Sher Ali Khan opted for Pakistan in 1947 and became a Major General in Pakistan Army. After retirement, Sher Ali Khan served as Pakistani diplomat and was also a federal minister in the cabinet of General Yahya Khan. So, Saif has a very deep connection with Pakistan. It is said that Saif’s grandfather Iftikar Ali Khan Pataudi, after August 1947, did not migrate to Pakistan to pursue a cricket carrier in India. He was Captain of Indian Cricket Team that toured England in 1946 and even played Test Cricket for England in early 1930s. But, huge wealth of father-in-law in Bhopal, who did not have any son, also played an important role in his staying back in India. Saif kept the name of his son from second wife Kareena Kapoor Khan ‘Timur’ to mock Indians. ‘Timur the lame’ was a Turk Muslim, who invaded and devasted North India in AD 1398. Once in an interview when Saif Ali Khan was asked about ‘music’, he replied that the best music he heard was the verses of Quran recited by his paternal grandmother in Bhopal. Though Saif Ali Khan’s mother is Bengali, his maternal grandmother was Assamese. I wonder if Saif had ever heard Assamese musical “Bar-geet” of 15-16 century Assamese polymath Shankar Dev from his maternal grandmother. ‘Mamabari’ (in Bengali) or ‘Nanihal’ (in Hindi/Urdu) holds a very dear place in the mind of every Indian. Let us see what Saif writes about his ‘Nanihal’ in Kolkata in his autobiography. The mother’s side of Saif Ali Khan links up with the Hindu reformist ‘Brahmo Samaj’ of famous Tagore family of Bengal. But his father’s side joins him to the puritan and narrow Muslim ‘Ahle Hadith’ Sect. Saif’s forefather came from Afghanistan and in his complex lineage, Saif has preferred to identify himself with Afghan Muslim identity with a Pakistan leaning in his psychological framework. Saif is closer to his father’s ‘Nanihal’ and not his own ‘Nanihal’. Saif has nothing to be proud of India and so he stupidly said that there was no ‘India’ before British came. His semi-literacy and anti-India DNA failed to know that even the Greeks, as back as in 5th century BC, referred to India as ‘Indoi’. But the fundamentalist Muslim in Saif Ali Khan with Pakistan leaning does not care about facts. And the Islamist-Leftist Bollywood-Urduwood nautanki goes on.
Isn't this the same guy who's so called "dulat doctrine" failed miserably for more than a decade. He believed in appeasement at the cost of bloodshed & Kashmiri Hindus deprived of basic rights on everything. Yeah, no one should listen to this guy or anything he says. Also, Jyoti keeps bringing similar kind of people who preach everything opposite of what would make India better or stronger. Typical Old Guard
Listening to him, I feel his intentions were never pro India with respect to Kashmir. It was a big mistake to keep him at helm for the longest period of time and let the separatist pot boiling.

I listened to the conversation for the first 18 minutes and lost interest completely. What kind of discussion is this? It is going nowhere. There was democracy in Kashmir, and there were elections and elected governments. Did it bring any good to Kashmir? I personally feel the only solution is to take the whole of Kashmir into India's fold. Obviously, Pakistan or China will not allow that to be easy. But that is the only solution. Unless and until the whole of Kashmir becomes a part of India there will always be groups that will be backed by ISI from the other part of Kashmir creating problems on this side. And Pakistan will be saying that it is the Kashmiri people's movement, it has nothing to do with the mainland of Pakistan. Once the whole of Kashmir belongs to India then if anything happens from outside that border, Pakistan can directly be implicated and taken care of. I was eager to know how Mr. Abdullah will ally with Modi ( which I believe to be absurd and impossible) but couldn't keep a hold of my patience with such aimless discussion
The interview leaves the audience with more questions than answers. Mr. Dulat seems very cozy with the 3 generations of Abdullas. If Omar Abdullah became VP of India, it would have been a disaster for the country as a whole in terms of security hacks, foreign policy misalignment with Pakistan and other world powers. Just 2 months ago, Omar Abdullah commented that he wanted Delhi to have good relations with China and Pakistan. He needs to get in line with being an Indian rather than positioning himself as a foreign minister of another country, which Kashmir isnt and never will be. Any special provisions for Kashmir has led only to terrorism and bloodshed in the last 40 years. The only way Pakistan and India can move forward is to delete LoC on the map and for all Kashmir to reunite under the Indian banner. Forget about Article 370, it has done no good to anyone. Terroism rooting out of Kashmir is seen in other parts of the nation and the region which is not totally not acceptable!
Why Kashmir politicians want back Article 370 Under the garb of autonomy Kashmiri Netas treat the State as their personal fiefdom. Example ; Wards of Kashmiri politicians get admission to Medical colleges .
An out n out Abdulla supporter. Very clear. Not a balanced view. Being an ex intelligence chief, expected much interesting n revealing content. Disappointed
Jyoti Malhotra jumps in and cuts AS Daulat, whenever he is about to make a point! When will these Indian interviewers learn to listen and be quiet and not show their knowledge? This is advice to Karan Thappar too, though he did a much better job of interviewing Daulat.
If u r a politician in kashmir and if u have to win elections or gain local support then anti India statements and activities is the way forward. Some politicians and so called separatist groups have ruined kashmir forever. 😑
Revoking 370 for Kashmir triggered the Ladakh incursion of China. Pakistan's only dilemma with Kashmir is the water of the Indus River, nothing else, which runs through Indian Kashmir. Wonder why India has so much fond of Kashmir, due to the Kashmir problem India has been landlocked and unable to transit its trade to West Asia, Afghanistan, Iran, and beyond. Due to the Kashmir crisis, the 1.5 billion population of the Subcontinent has been unable to visit their relatives for the last 70 years. India spent about $70 Billion on defense this year while having One Billion poverty-stricken masses, and ever-indebted economically Pakistan spent 11 Billion on defense this year with a 180 million Poverty laden population.

Kinda makes you wonder... about his qualifications as a RAW chief.
He accepted that his soft position was incorrect. He believed that appeasement to Kashmiri radicals and Pakistan would be helpful, but he turned out to be wrong. Ajit Doval hard stance against radicals and Pakistan have worked and delivered results.
If Gulam Nabi Azad's allegations are true then Dulat was responsible for giving jobs to militants and their families for doing terrorist activities
This person has been wrong and will continue to be wrong, his observation of current situation is interesting. This fellow is too close to Farooq

He knows Modi Shah decisive actions of 370 / ladakh separation have helped India shift goalpost permanently. So this loser is trying to rationalize his failures with books
Who do you think is a better politician among all in JnK other than FA
I think he was part of the problem. He admits he had a chance to resolve this issue a long time ago, he didn't.
Even I think that he was an apologist for farooq and Pakistan. And he had no guts to take decisive actions, a typical ineffective sarkari parasite
God saves us… if he was head of RAW…
This joker Dulat headed R&AW back then. Unbelievable and outrageous.
Mufti Saheb , Sheikh Sahab , Farook Saheb , JKLF boys .....

Dulat is a shady character. His role in Kashmir should be investigated.

Mr Dulat was the worst RAW chief. He was good for nothing.
JKLF Boys, Geelani ji, Allah’s Kashmir, Farooq the tallest Muslim leader, I am not a Pakistan expert but my Mian Nawaz, I am the soft type unlike Ajit Doval who carries a stick…

Impossible to imagine that Mr. Dulat doesn't know who gave the call to pandits to leave the valley. He is a liar,,, hard to believe that the head of RAW in Kashmir in 1989 doesn't know it,,, he should be investigated for the genocide
Our intelligence chief is still searching for answers after 35 hears, wondering who may have been responsible for the terror.
I feel that if Dulat was surprised at the Pandits plight - he was not up to date. DId he belong to the coffee circuit
Yup you answered your own question
I just couldn't understand what Mr Dulat wants to convey!
No hyperbole, minimal sensationalism. Thank you. Looking forward to seeing more of this type of interview.❤

I think he is equally responsible for what had happened in kashmir. He was neither able to assess the situation nor he did anything to stop it.

Either Mr Daulat knows a lot more about the problem or he suffers from selective amnesia !
Such a shame that the so-called spy chief does not know who was behind the targeted killing of Kashmiri pandits
Mr. Daulat and Mrs. Malhotra can continue to call it a Kashmiri Pandit/Hindu "Exodus" or "Migration" but the fact remains, it was a pogrom and a Genocide, not even ethnic cleansing.
Retirement of AS Dulat was good riddance.

Not very sure what he is trying to say . Each interview is about how grt Farooq is . His analysis is completely out of focus
Dullat is making good case for Faruq Abdullah.
Merely kite flying, nothing concrete and banal perceptions ; intelligence chief should have known more rather than trying to act peacemaker!
Why is this shameless person still in public life? He is responsible for genocide of Hindus in kashmir.why he is still given any importance?
SOME INFORMATION ABOUT SAIF ALI KHAN:
In mid-2020, Saif Ali Khan of Bollywood had announced that he would publish his autobiography by 2021.
He believed in appeasement at the cost of bloodshed & Kashmiri Hindus deprived of basic rights on everything.

agree, this AS Dulat represents the old lethargic backfoot way of thinking.

This is how i look at it note my word. Farooq Abdullah gonna be first chief minister of Kashmir after 370
I listened to the conversation for the first 18 minutes and lost interest completely.
