if you want to real way its bud_ah (quarter of a second gab between bud and ah but you have to make it flow" Oi we got any budah" "nah mate ran out other night" "no stress I'll pop down shops grab some gotta get a slap anyway" (real convo I've had with a mates) the australian accent is just shortening every word until its the bare minimum, you get some strong ones here and there but generally we just cbf saying more then 3 syllables in a word
Man U got it down packed.. good work cobber
Cool - thanks!
I’ve noticed that when they say no it sounds like “NOR”
ASSANDTIDDY yess!!! Every time I do an Aussie accent i say “no” as “nor”
yess i love that one! haha
It actually depends. Sometimes it ends with a quick w sound. The ending on an R is less common in standard Aussie accents.
noe
Yeah Nah Mate, its pronounced as nah
As an Aussie who's lived in the US and developed a US accent, then moved to England and got twisted up again, then came back home and eventually sounded somewhat local again, this is pretty accurate. Kudos on the express course. I personally don't sound quite like this, but I absolutely agree that it's an accurate representation of the general Aussie sound and a good way to understand and sound it out effectively.
i disagree. Aussie here and only the "er" applies to all or any Aussie accents
I’m from Sydney and moved to the states and my accent is broken :(
But we don't all drop our 'gs'. That's just plain wrong.
HELP THATS CRAZY WEIRD
I was looking for an Aussie to validate his accent before taking it onboard. I am not onboard the Oi that much as I think here in Adelaide they tend to say it like short "a", they pronounce Like more like Luck. Maybe like "Laike"

I'm from one of the larger australian cities, and although I think this is fairly accurate, I do want to point out that there are multiple australian accents. My accent has much less of an upward inflection near the end of sentences and I use the ng sound, to name a few differences. If you want to fit in with australians, this might not be quite the right video, but for that classic Steve Irwin accent, this pretty much covers the basics. Good work.
An engene blessed by Jake's Australian accent passed by here
