    6:00 they are semi-open back headphones and won't drown out all the sound as the PreSonus HD9's will.

    I got myself the M-Audio's AV42 almost 2 years ago, and I'm thinking of getting these for mixing instead of purchasing better monitors for the time being...do u find the HD7s good enough for mixing? :)

    • @beatkultr
      @beatkultr  6 лет назад +1

      Asklipios Barbakos no. Try AKG K702 or similar with open backs preferred for mixing. The headphones in the video are not flat.

    You got a lot of charisma, bro! Nice videos! I'm not sure if you realize that both the Sony and Sennheiser hairphones you used before are actually superior to this Presonus phone. Also, somebody below commented about your voice being so clear and you mentioned you'd do a video explaining how you achieve that. Did you ever got around to it?

    • @beatkultr

      I've mentioned it in several videos but never designated a video specifically for that.

    hi man, i just bought these Presonus hd7s and the quality sounds worse than my 9 yr old micorsoft lifechat USB headset :/ im pretty disappointed really, what may be the issue ( I have let them break in for 2-3 hours and still the quality didnt improve) they are super comfy though (i wear glasses and have pretty big ears) just hope they came with better drivers :/

    Long post. Paused the video when you were about to review to see if what you said is similar.
    Got those a while ago when I got it bundled with the Presonus Audiobox USB interface that came with the M7 mic also. I just needed a laptop setup at the time to bring things with me. They have a short in the wire where it connects to the cup now unfortunately.
    I like them for a good reference pair. While you can hear almost everything and if a track is imaged good it'll really sound good but.....they're not flat nowhere close. They sound over enhanced in my opinion. You could mix with them for hours only to take them off and they sound completly different on your monitors. Also got the ATH-M50x and when I mix with those and play them back on my monitors they sound identically the same I just need to 'slightly' adjust how the bass travels. The HD7 headphones are good for casual listening or even in a booth but you really need to learn them real good to consider mixing on them. My next pair are going to be Beyer Dynamic the ones with replacable parts and detachable cables because I have the worst luck with shorts. Just for another reference/opinion.

    • @beatkultr
      @beatkultr  8 лет назад

      +THA-REAPER Beyer Dynamic are great. My buddy let me borrow those for awhile and I loved them. Think I may go ahead and invest in some for myself.

      No, l have superlux and hd7 totaly different design and sound element. Hd7 way way better them.

  • @dedskin1
    @dedskin1 8 лет назад +4

    they dont isolate sounds cuz they are opened head phone design , its by design . Its not a contest or good or bad thing . there are things closed head phones do better and then you have your opened head phones for other things . Read only why is opened design better and vice verse

    • @beatkultr
      @beatkultr  8 лет назад

      I definitely understand the concept but these pair are not professional. That was my whole point.

    • @dedskin1
      @dedskin1 8 лет назад

      Ksoundd Def they are not hi fi head phones , nor DJ head phones , they are studio headphones for vocalists , preview ,even casual producing . Not top end stuff but pared with decent reference preamp , decent reference sound . They are sold as podcast pack, so that is where they do the best , long sessions of not that critical listening

    • @beatkultr
      @beatkultr  8 лет назад

      Pavle Pavlovic awesome. They are pretty comfortable tho

    • @dedskin1
      @dedskin1 8 лет назад

      KsoundDef yes opened head phone design is more comfortable then closed design , as you don't have head sweat . And you hear whats going on . A lot of things . But on the other head if one is DJing then closed design is a must
