I have finally arisen from the dead for a moment to feed you all after a 2 year long famine, please accept my deepest and sincerest apologies. Law school has truly been kicking my ass hard, I am truly not thriving
But anyways, what HAS been keeping me going are amazing musical such as EPIC which I’ve had honour to recently discover, and I am SIMPLY in LOVE.
I have been waking up at 3am during my overseas vacation to finish this for yalls, I hope that you all enjoy it (even if it is abit rushed at some party’s)

I loved the part where Eurylochus took Odysseus's hand in both of his and kneeling while saying sorry, it added to his guilt and was a really unique take on the apology scene :DD
I also like the detail of Odysseus looking at eurylochus through the reflection of the sword as he gives that order really shows that despite everything he still can’t look him directly in the eyes he orders him to sentence himself and six men to death
I makes sense, though. Ody is a KING. Bowing down like that is appropriate for his station.

This may seem so random, but the way Scylla climbs up the rocks at 1:38 is just gorgeous. Then the way you slowly see the other heads slowly appear behind her, goddamn, I love this fandom so much.
After writing this, I went to check out some of this creator's other content and my shock when I recognised this creator's 'Ready, Set' animatic.. gosh it's been over four years since then-

it's weird how Charybdis wasn't even mentioned here. I know she has her own song later, but they are so close (the Messina strait is only 3 km wide)
Ouuhh I love how deeply affected Eurylochus looks at the beginning, fully going on his knees... and how disconnected Ody is in contrast... and how Eurylochus drops his torch and then someone else picks it up and gets eaten,,, ITS VERY GOOD!!!

I guess the fandom decided that Eurylochus held a torch.
Jorge had the concept animatic he did for Scylla show Eurylochus holding a torch and then losing it (also, the lyrics tell Eury to light the torches). He would’ve been a dead man if he wasn’t important and got spared (to kill everyone later)

I’ve been up at 3am-8am working on this 😭 gotta feed my lovelies correct
So he's the reason they ended up back the land of the Giants. The same place where Poseidon happened to find them the same reason why they can no longer take the short way home why they ran into so many other obstacles while so many other men and he let the rest of the crew believe it was his fault. Almost 600 men died at the hands of Poseidon alone and it was this man's fault. Worst brother ever
And it's Eurylochus's fault that Zeus hits Odysseus with the ultimatum of his life against those of the crew, as he killed one of Helios' cows despite Odysseus' pleading.
While Eurylochus wasn't quite as bad in the original Odyssey as he is in Epic, he is still pretty terrible- he refuses to lead Odysseus to Circe's palace to help their men, insults Odysseus after he gets Circe to undo her enchantments, and persuades the crew to kill some of Helios' sacred cattle against Odysseus' warnings, leading to Zeus punishing the crew with death, sparing only Odysseus.
