Just in case you never found out how, here is how to do it:
You must press "lock, fast and power on" all at the same time, then after radio comes on, press FAST AND ENTER same time, this gets you into the hidden menu for repairs and diagnostics, rotate mem channel to 9-9, and turn main VFO until you see GEN, press ENTER and turn off radio, then power back on normally. You can now TX between 1.5-30MHZ
