What I don’t understand is….in terms of economics the Obi Wan series cost 90m and delivered great ratings…far more than Andor which cost double, far more Ahsoka which cost more, FAR more than the Acolyte which was double the cost, more than Boba and holds the premiere record. Surely if you are in charge then you look at the numbers and you say….NO BRAINER!!! Obi Wan 2!!

@@thecarbonitejediAndor season 2 had already been greenlit ahead of the premiere of season 1…it was always going to happen. On the point it was vastly superior…that is an opinion and one many people hold. I do not agree but hope that season 2 does well. It will generate repeat viewers of season 1 whilst season 2 is on and given the length of the episodes and number of episodes then hopefully the viewership will be health enough.
2 things should happen; Kenobi (& Yoda?) trains under qui-gon 1 on 1 dagobah style, it shows him with grays/wrinkles. Ewans in his early 50s & looks like he's in his early 40s. Plz no alternate universe!!

They could have started it after the Yuzhan Vong conflict but they completely f uped the sequels 😢

@thecarbonitejedi yuzhan vong may be to ex filming but I can see Boba Fett actually dying in Jaina Solo arms the way Qui Gon died in Obi Wans after a prolonged duel with Jacen.
Battle basically of Boba making distance and keeping prolong fire at Jacen.
Yup it won't stick to legends but when the Solos burn Boba body after he passes away on the Falcon upon Jaina slaying Jacen. Idk a closure to Han and Boba relationship

Star Wars has always portrayed strong men and women in the face of adversities using their strengths to their advantage, up till TFA.
What would be cool is a hard reboot of episodes 4 to 9.
@matthewtoloczko6954 I think I could never appreciate a reboot of 4-6. If we retconned 7-9 then I would be ecstatic!
@thecarbonitejedi if you're young old like me, then you remember the hate towards the prequels. Why not have the new obi wan lead what Star Wars could be and the rest to true legacy.
@@matthewtoloczko6954 See it wouldnt be George's legacy, and Disney would get it so screwed up, then they would retcon the 1977 1981 and 1983 trilogy so their new dumpster fire of a trilogy would be canon, but I dont think that is in Disney's scope right now.
@thecarbonitejedi ill be so bold and say episode 5 was the only good installment. Regardless of who's at the helm, it's probably going be crap. The story of anakin has been told. A reimagenation with good story and characters might lead to a new hope.
@matthewtoloczko6954 why can't they just create a storyline in the High Republic or years after ROTJ where they create a non Skywalker Trilogy. I don't think everything has to be a remake.
An Obi-Wan season 2 or movie would be interesting, but a think a lot of the time Obi-Wan spent in Tatooine was learning to become a force ghost and watching over Luke

Secondly, no one wants more Disney Kenobi trash; they completely fumbled it with that series and most people just want the character left alone now.

Most fans don't consider the Kenobi show to be canon and Disney's demonstrated they're incapable of handling these characters competently.
