My dad died of brain cancer in 2006 at the age of 71 & 1/2. He stopped eating sugar in the late 1970's. He ate no pork, and drank only water, no soft drinks or coffee. And very little beef or chicken. Absolutely did not ever drink alcohol. He and my mom were tee totalers. He smoked one time when he was about 14. Got sick and never touched tobacco again. He also started running a couple of miles about 3 times per week in the 1960's. He could still run a sub 6 minute mile when he was 70. Only God can determine how long we have.

My Norwegian uncle drank coffee all his life, all day long. He died just shy of his 100th birthday, was on no medications with his intellect and wit intact.

I think hydrogenated oils and processed foods are the worse. She didn't eat those. And she was very active.

My mother is very careful with what she eats ,does exercise,drinks water with lemon after every meal and still ended up getting cancer. I knew of a vegetarian that ended up with cancer. Of carnivores with cancer. My conclusion: you’ll get cancer no matter what you eat. So, eat EVERTHING but in moderation and enjoy living!!!

I have already written in an earlier comment that I think it is very naive to draw conclusions about all of us from just 1 or 2 people.
There are many ways you can get cancer: Asbestos, radiation, passive smoking and many more.
But your last sentence is pretty good. However, you should definitely cut out sugar. And remember. Everyone defines what “in moderation” means a little differently. That's why it's sometimes better to leave certain things out from the start.

my Grandmother was from Lebanon, she ate bulgur wheat, goat meat Mediterranean diet and lived till 110 and died of old age. very healthy.

Dump sugar, and processed seed oils, i think as adults we prob eat too much, eat like your ancestors, just to survive, but not indulge, to help maintain your health. Cook your own food, convenience meals have alot of hidden sugar and salt, especially low fat labelled foods, fat holds the flavour so when thats removed, out goes flavour, and more sugar / salt is added, to fix that. Sometimes its hard to try and be healthy, when you have doctors saying different things, but alot of drs out their are into functional medicine, and are telling the public, what your doctor wont tell you. Drs wont tell u that you can reverse type 2 diabetes, and will just give u metformin pills and tell you to go on a diet, they wont tell you how to reduce your blood glucose hb1a1, cos metformin does the job of regulating it. Food industry and pharmaceutical industries are making a killing off sick people. Food can heal, but bad food will kill you.

I had stage 3 lung cancer when I was 61 . Did the chemo and radiation treatments and a lot of praying . Today I’m 70 years old and I eat all the wrong foods . Coffee and sugar doughnuts for breakfast every day . Hot dogs and pizza every week . I’m still living from the grace of God . I will admit that I should lose about 10 lbs

No, American organics are exported more than consumed in its own country. Most Americans don't even eat organic products. Processing of foods along with chemicals (many of which have been banned in the UK and China) are still used in America. Physical activity as a whole is also not the same. Most lay of land allows for more abilities to travel by walking or biking on a daily basis than in America. Way of life is quite different as is health care. People in European countries are more likely to seek medical attention over issues before Americans for numerous reasons. I'm sure that's more likely to help one discover an issue before its more of a serious condition.

Cancer comes from poor gut health. Too many Americans have an elimination problem. We should be going to the bathroom after every meal daily. What destroys our gut health is mainly sugar and alcohol. Older people didn’t have all the same environmental toxins and crazy chemicals in that folks born later. My dad is 79 and overcame prostate cancer, one kidney removed, a small heart attack, has a horrible diet, and his quality of life is horrible. My mom has diabetes and she’s had it since her 50s. But I started to have health problems at 25 and into my 30s. I’m reversing all the BS. I can see the path I’m headed if I don’t make a uturn. I don’t want to pass anything to my kids from my lifestyle. Genetics in the body is locked unless we unlock it through our lifestyle choices.
I followed a vegetarian diet, no dairy, no wheat and hardly had the energy to walk up the street. I went back to meat and a little dairy and feel much better.
That is because vegan foods do not contain glycine, creatine, choline, taurine, carnosine, creatine! Its all aminoacids!!!

My grandma lived until almost 91 no cancer and still traveling she just had pneumonia. She drank instant coffee daily with pan de sal, her diet is balanced. 😢Miss her so much!

So many comments, on this complicated subject. I'm no expert and there is not a 'one size fits all' when it comes to the human body. I think all you can do is follow some pretty basic principles. Don't take drugs, limit alcohol consumption, limit sugar intake, exercise regularly, and take whatever steps you can to minimise stress. Be kind, be generous, be content. That's about it.

I've given up all sugar (which I have replaced with Monk Fruit & erythritol when I really want something sweet, which isn't very often) and wheat, but I regularly consume organic meat and unpasteurized cheese, and I drink one cup of coffee daily. That's my final offer! Good day, all!
Erythriol as artificial sweetener will not help you with loose weight. Loosing weight is basic thing to heal (pre)diabetes and all modern disseases from it, i agree, but sweet feeling on your tongue is telling your brain to tell your thyroid gland to immediatelly release insulin. So you will not rise your blood glucose (to store it later as fat), but it will rise (sweet feeling) your insulin level too high. And higher glucose in blood or high insulin stops burning fatty acids (fats) as source of energy (Randle cycle). And your weight loosing ends until your glucose level is normal again and your insulin level too. So skinny people have insulin and glucose in normal state 3 hours after meal max and then they are burning stored fat as energy, their body can manage weight by himself, people with not so good working insulin can have glucose level ok 2-3 hours after meal, but insulin still high 6 hours after eating, so they dont burn fat all day long, because they are eating at least 3 meals a day (x 6 hours and then go to sleep, in this time they burn fat, but dont know about it).
Good solution for insuline resistence is 3 day water fast, no insulin spike for 3 days, no food, proteins, fats and sacharides rises insulin but in different high. Next solution is to eat once a day, in certain eating window.
Wheat is bad, animal proteins are full breakable in stomach acid, gluten from wheat for example is not. So this longer amino acids chains cant then go thru intestinal cells layer and causing inflammation in your intestines, this is reason why so many people have digestive problems and allergy for gluten and lot of plant based things, gut problems. Long time chronic inflammation is often cause of cancer.

People just eat too much too often. If you cut down on the amount you consume, you'll probably live longer. If cancer needs food to survive, then it makes sence to starve it by intermittent fasting. Say 8 hours between meals, or even longer if you like.
Cancer can't use fatty acids for fuel. Only glucose (and glutamine). You can eat zero carbohydrates and lots of meat high in fat, and the cancer will eventually die of starvation. You may not believe me, but that's fine, you don't have to.

I just got through reading the peer-reviewed paper titled, “Controlling hyperglycemia as an adjunct to cancer therapy”. It talks about how high blood glucose prevents your vitamin C from working properly in fighting cancer. So, I would think getting your blood sugar levels down would be very important. The study found a statistically significant lower average blood glucose level in those who experienced cancer remission versus those who didn't experience cancer remission. Furthermore, we want the vitamin C we do get to be effective.
My mother ate all the unhealthy foods, mainly the dairy, the carbs, and the pastry, and lived to 92
my mam too but they had natural foods until their's 40 years old at least, we aren't so lucky.

Mr. Roger's was a strict vegetarian, swam every day and kept his weight at 143 all his adult life. He did not smoke drink, etc. He died of stomach cancer! Meanwhile my father who us 89 drank in moderation, smoked until he was 80 never exercised and likes his chips and cookies. So, go ahead and have what you want in moderation. I think obsessing over food makes us sick.
I have book Supermarket Remedies and came across some info regarding low cholesterol. It stated that low cholesterol levels leads to cancer. At the time,I was in a low fat diet, using skim milk and eating little to no meat and butter. My cholesterol level was 2 points away from the lowest measure the cholesterol scale. When I aw my #s, my first reaction was happiness however it hit me that something had to be wrong if my #s were so low on the scale. After borrowing my dad's Supermarket Remedies book, I bought one of my own. That book probably saved me from a bout with cancer bc, according to my unusually low cholesterol levels, I was heading in that direction. I gave up the low fat diet well I er ten years ago and my numbers have been fine with zero high blood pressure and zero diabetes.

Also tanins for example from tea blocking zinc etc. resorption in kidneys. Excessive glucose binds to red blood cells, lowering oxygen transport capacity of red cells, damaging especially walls of very thin vessels, binds to fatty acids, proteins, oxidize them, make them more dangerous then they are. So high blood glusose above gluconeogenesis baseline is pure evil. People dont need single gram of fiber, single gram of exogenous sugars, fructose, starch, but today are highly addicted to sugars. And thats the only only problem driving thru high glucose and insulin resistence all modern diseases. Sugars rise hunger, you are then eating more (and often another sugars) and you become more and more malnutrished by macro and micro nutrients. And you have next reason for health problems.

Poppycock. I have been Carnivore for 4.5 years. Lost 110 pounds and my 8 autoimmune diseases are slmost in remission. I am 62 and feeling amazing. I eat ruminant meats, salt and water. Many others have been Carnivore for years longer than I and are very healthy. My bloodwork iis perfect. CAC was 0. Heart is healthy. I eat one pound of fatty meat per day and sometimes eggs from my pastured chickens.

I'm almost 50, perfect health, zero prescriptions or medications, rarely sick, infact have not had any illness for over 10 years, not even a cold, never had a broke bone, rarely ever have headaches, good eye sight, and I eat what I've wanted for as long as I can remember. I do not restrict sugar, cold drinks, or processed, but do eat minimal fat. I know that it is not genetics as both sides of my family have health issues, including both parents. But I have always given the Lord thanks for what I am blessed to consume, and I know that is why I remain healthy. God is good!

Mom died of the most rare brain cancer that exists. She ate only organic food. Never touched fast food. All her fish, chicken, and beef were organic. She detoxed all the time. Yet, in her late 40s, she lost her life. It was fast and hit hard. Do your best to live healthy, but there is no one answer.
I eat very very low carb, just low carb vegetables, no dairy, lots of meat and animal fats, avocados, eggs. Some fruit as treats. Basically Paleo. I have been eating this way now since 2007. I lost 75 lbs then, didn't even gain it back during my second pregnancy, and have kept the weight off now for almost 20 years. I am 53 now, and I have very few health issues. Everytime I even try to eat more carbs, grains, dairy or processed food, I feel bloated, achy, joints hurt, and my psoriasis flares.

So basically ALL sources of protein?? And why do people get healed from eating a meat centered diet after being vegan? That's what happened to me... grains/legumes made me pre-diabetic and hypothyroid, I switched to paleo and healed BOTH of those issues. I think it depends on the person and their constitution, there is NO single solution that can be applied to ALL. Protein is necessary for for everyone to LIVE. SUGAR BALANCE is the KEY to cancer prevention as well as eating organic. I think its wierd they never talk about the difference between an organic, grass-fed diet vs. Ones with glyphosate, hormones, vaccines etc.
You can get protein from light protein sources.. and also from eg Spirulina. But if you eat enough akaline forming foods to cancel out the slightly acid forming tendency of the light proteins you’ll be ok.
Where the hell do you think the protein comes from an animals? Plants they eat!!! you don’t have to eat meat to get protein. And please don’t lead anybody else to believe this.
Most of my life (I'm 66) doctors said that eating eggs and fat were bad for you, caused heart issues and plaque build up. Now, they are saying the opposite. Don't listen to doctors. They are only in it for the money. The pharmaceuticals pay them big bucks to hawk their latest bs chemicals.

My grandma was 95. Her everyday foods: alot of pork, egg, desserts, sausage, and vegetables. Never exercises. Did not know what hospital or doctor's office look like. I am 65 and been in hospital couples of times and countless to doctor's offfices and my diets are considered much more healthy than hers and exercise 5 days a week.
I already eat fewer sugars and wheat but I wont abandon coffee NEVER.

Agreed…. Everybody’s body is different and responds differently to different diets. Some people do excellent on carnivore other people do great being vegan. My sister thrived being vegan. I tried it and my blood work got jacked up. I did better being a pescatarian with the occasional lamb when my cycle came on
My dad passed away yesterday at age of 74 , a week before his 75th .. very sad , he did smoke and drink all his life and his poor body wasn’t healthy , large tumor in the colon and he suffered a 2 year slow death . His skin , face , hair and muscles looked like he aged 20 more years after getting sick. He had good genetics and was very good in sport but yes didn’t take care of his body and it was very painful to watch him age and suffer to his death 😢.. I guess everything in moderation plus daily exercise… enjoy life people - ❤️

I have a friend that went to a seminar about foods that cause cancer he was told meat tomatoes milk etc he avoided those foods was he was literally living the only fruit that was safe was citrus fruits he Lost so much weight he was almost skin and bones and now he suffers from grout. My mother-in-law ate lard every day of her life, she enjoyed sweets, biscuits, cakes every week, drank coffee daily, didn't drink aocohol. She was active, lived alone, cooked her own meals every day, made her bed, dressed herself. She only died shortly before her 100th birthday beause she fell on a rug she would not allow us to throw away, broke her hip and remained in bed for eight months until she passed. I no doubt she would still be going strong if she had not fallen and broken her hip.
Did she live a relatively stress free life?

My uncle went 100% organic already in the 80s. He did not smoke, drink alcohol, no substances, tea in the morning, exercise like hiking and skiing every day. He died from a very aggressive cancer within 3 months at the age of 63.

Tea is acidic, but I'm thinking that the whole thought process in this video is wrong. We see many people with horrible diets and who smoke like a train and still live to a ripe old age with their health intact. It's garbage. Food won't change our internal pH. There's a number of levers that all push and pull at the same time to maintain homeostasis. The worst you could do is harm your bones if you were drinking vinegar or coke all day maybe, as the body maintains it's pH by taking minerals from the bones. But there's nothing to do with cancer and our diet relating to acid. Other factors for sure.

I had no idea they ate that much red meat. Of course I believe Japan doesnt allow all of this gmo/bioengineered garbage we have here in the US plus the horrid food additives here are not in most of their foods in Japan. It's garbage because the body maintains homeostasis relating to acidity. By eating more acidic foods, other gradients will trigger to increase base concentrations and keep the pH stable.
