A lot of Europeans are backing up consistently to take the balls. You don’t have to always take the balls early, there’s more than one way to play. As a matter of fact, Europeans, who stay back have dominated the game for the last two decades.
@@pierrelahaye1319 because you can see that Shapo is standing behind the baseline and he has to half volley three backhands, basically right off his shoe laces, which would mean the ball is at least 1 balls length out but probably more like 6 inches long considering Shapo isn't genrally going to be standing just a step behind the baseline
With these young phenoms I see on YT and the likes the only thing that I see missing is the power…that will undoubtedly come when they develop. It’s so crazy to see such young and advanced talent but it makes sense. I can’t even fathom what these younglings will be playing like once they reach the ATP
@ he’s 10 for God’s sake. He’s got a lot of room for development and change. If he’s persistent and focused and is passionate about the game……I don’t see any reason he couldn’t be in the top 100 💯?
@@truthreignsforever9286 he’s 12 now. This was 2 years ago. I actually watched him play today at a boys 14 and under. He still cheats via flipping the score, etc. his lateral movement is still bad, he hits the ball cleanly and early with good timing, but that’s about it. His mom also coaches every point, which isn’t allowed it usta. Not tryna hate, just going off what I see
@@Bobby.546 sounds like he needs a better coach or coaching in general? I understand you’re being unbiased in what you see. And that’s great! Well, if his mother is wearing the pants in the family? @@truthreignsforever9286 he’s traveled the world to different academies, such as ( I think) Patrick mouratoglu academy, Img academy, etc. I don’t think coaching is the problem, just the parents being too desperate for winning at this level instead o focusing more on his development. I don't have a good feeling about this kid. He'll go far, but not to the top. The hair is a liability. Flair and personality don't get you to number 1. You gotta focus 100% on your tennis.
He is not going backwards even on the deep balls. Rare to see this at such a young age. Huge talent.
Maybe he should have. Not to say its not impressive for that age, but 2 balls were out and another was a miss hit
@@joseph1140e how can you see if its out or not ?

He’s not that good. Watched him play and he just cheats a lot and slaps. His lateral movement is pretty bad
Well as I have been saying, soon there will be 5 year olds serving 100 MPH.

Why is Bobby replying to to everything
We’ll see him topping the juniors before long with those strokes.
Great strokes, but there are a lot of kids that hit the ball like this at this age.

Speechless about that backhand.

That's cool, but since the focus isn't supposed to be on Shapovalov, he really shouldn't be the one in the near court like that.

To me it cant work his brain adjustscby raisinghis head accomodating for the hair, is he using a wig?
Strokes looking good. Hope his youth isn't too screwed up though with parents that call you camelot.....😂
Forehand like Stan's.
Wow, a kid trained to move in and take advantage of a short ball. Some hack coach will come along and make him stop.

Why does he have a WTA forehand? You should not be teaching him that.
Because it’s the most natural form, he has all the time in the world to change it if needed.
He’s 10. Not that much power. He will grow out of it once he is able to produce power with shorter strokes
