I'm 74 and just bought one of these. Looking forward to using it. Loppers require some strength and tire me out. This video was really helpful. Thanks.
Just picked one of these up (used) at an estate sale. Different color, but otherwise just like the one pictured. I've used it a couple of time already and it works just as good as the video shows. A great little tool for trimming around the property. I recommend it.
This was by far the best video I have viewed about mini chainsaws, showing how to put it together etc because some people haven't got a clue and it's always nice to actually see something being done. What are you using for lubrication please? Thank you
Best explanation of the correct way to put the chain on. The manual did not clearly show the correct chain teeth direction. True that it does not cut if It is mounted wrong.
I purchased a 4 inch chain saw but returned it as the instructions were not well written/illustrated, the screwdriver provided was too big to reach the adjustment screw, the in instructions for picking up the slack...anyway I'm going to try another brand.
@@DIYOnTheHouse what brand? Mine had some oriental name, started with a K. Now I will not buy from a site unless I can speak English to a person, get a phone#, etc. I've been burned re returns so I usually stick with Amazon.
Great video just subscribed I also just order myself one to cut off the branches theses squirrels keeps hoping on and off trying to get on my roof and inside my attic… Thanks
i got this type of cheap saw, upgraded it to 10 inch bar and chain which is available in aliexpress.. the best part with this saw is it can fit makita battery which i already have.. with 6ah makita battery it got enough power and torque to take down the full grown 14 inch diameter tree without stalling.
@@MrPattywac - Someone else asked the same question (above) and he mentioned that you can use WD-40, but the one he uses is something called Slick Lubricant.
So far the biggest limb i cut with it was? 4" round. it went threw it like butter A full charge it only last 30 min 👍 then it need to recharge for 2 hours.. SO YES! I 💖it. I keep in my pickup for protection, camping, fishing, and hunting I WANT LEAVE HOME WITH OUT IT, Just like a gun or a knife. The only thing i don't like about it is? The chain slack adjustment. Needs a longer phillip screw driver
i assmembled mine went to use it and it seemed really hard work to cut even a small branch, it was running slow, but I did not lube the chain wih oil, is this the reason why?
I can see where it would be useful for those branches that are too big for loppers. On the smaller branches it seems to be pretty slow (compared to loppers). I can definitely see where this would be good for someone with mobility issues, though. If you can't use loppers, then this would be the way to go.
Just starting to research these. I can't help noticing that the "action" on this is very bouncy, not smooth. I assume this is due to the low mass of the tool and other similar products behave the same?
So apparently this does not have built in chainsaw lube delivery like regular chainsaws, and depends on occasional hand lubing or spraying as shown in the video.
Love the caveat. Word of warning no two button press to activate. As he holds the chain with the battery in. I have ratchet loppers for this yard work and a proper chainsaw for real work. These are too dangerous

It's great, just have to be careful keeping you finger off the trigger when not in use.

Great to hear! We use ours all of the time!!

I used Slick 50 lube, but any spray lube will work.

Thanks!! We just used ours for hours again yesterday, the thing really works well!
yes they work, my brother has a millwauki, its awesome, chopped down just about his whole yard
Sounds fun!!

Hope the new one works for you - we really love ours!

You will love it. It's kind of addictive once you start trimming it's hard to stop.

That's Awsome
what kind of lubricant do I use? that is perfect for my branches I need to cut every spring
Any spray lubricating oil will work, I love our little saw! super handy.
@@DIYOnTheHouse Any spray lubricant? Can you use something like muck-off used for bicycle chain? What is recomended? TY

This is the best video I've seen for a mini chainsaw. Thank you. :)
Glad you liked it!

They are great little tools. Thanks for the great idea, I'm throwing ours in the camper as well.
@@DIYOnTheHouse Very cool 👍👍
Very helpful video, thanks. I will be going to buy one.
Glad it was helpful! It does work great.

The chain is probably over tightened but a little lube will do wonders.
thanks so very much ,i get mine in morning so i think iam going to be very pleased with it.
good video
Hope you like it as much as we like ours!
Glad you told the adwise with the battery
you bet
Great video. Now I know why it did not cut after working properly. It was on backwards. LOL
😅 done that on my big saw.

Agree - it made the work much easier!!
Where can you replacement batteries
Just starting to research these. I can't help noticing that the "action" on this is very bouncy, not smooth. I assume this is due to the low mass of the tool and other similar products behave the same?
You are correct. Once the chain start cutting it pulls the tool in tight and smooths out.
How long the battery lasts? I think mine gets drained in 10-15mins and it's easy to overheat
We truly used it for almost 2 hours - it kept going, and still is going!
Mini chainsaws rock especially one in each hand when cutting down something.
Sounds fun!

That's correct.
Hi 👋 seems to be a pretty good saw. TFS 🙂
It is pretty good!! It did a good job on our tree!
What to do for loose chain?
You should be able to loosen the side nut and adjust the chain tension with the screw by the bar.
I'm a lefty so no two button safety system is ideal for me
Same for Ross!
It certainly is MIGHTY!!
One question, is the spray lubricant sold separately?
Yes, it is separate - you can use WD40, this brand was Slick Lubricant.
How long battery work
I trimmed 20 - 30 trees before it died.
If "loosen" means to untighten, does "un-loosen" mean to "tighten"??
Hmmmm
what about oiling the chain/
Yes, that is important. We talk about it in the video.
Bro that’s cool
It is cool! We are about to do a video on a different band.
60 trees? What did you do, go to the local park?
Almost! 10 acre ranch.
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Why do people keep calling it a chainsaw "blade"? It's not a blade! It's a bar and chain.
Thanks for the correction

We will be reviewing a new one with safety features.
Nice review but not so good pruning practices demonstrated here.
Thanks
Where Are all your trees😆😆
