The 21st (today) is the last day for virtual interviews with any coach still in the playoffs. And I think we need permission from their team. The 22nd starts in-person interviews, but only for those you've already virtually interviewed. All of the guys that weren't in the playoffs had to be interviewed between the 8th and 21st I think. The new Anti-Tampering rules are a bit confusing to me, but the way I read them is that if we didn't already interview some of these guys, we lost our window. You can't drag this out anymore! So if we didn't bring in your guy already, you can bank on them not even being on the list of possible hires.

This is John's call. Nobody has to convince Jody Allen of anything that has to do with football. She has never had to say what she wants concerning football because she has people who do that. I hope John can give the new coach enough say to run the team so a coach like Jim Harbaugh can take over or bring in someone who would welcome help like Mike MacDonald.

Seahawks have a list of candidates for HC and it's a long list, but Vrabel isn't on it. JS has not mentioned Vrabel even once, nor has anyone in the Seahawks organization gone on record as saying Vrabel is a candidate. Seems more of wishing him in as a candidate then him actually being a candidate at this point and those saying he is a candidate are saying it's a hunch. Come on man, lets be more factual here. Vrabel isn't a candidate for the Seahawks HC opening.

No understanding of the new offensive schemes makes for bad defense. We need a B Slowik or B Johnson who can communicate with the DC how to stop the new offensive scheme. No Vrabel or DQ - old school defense that doesn't work against the new scheme. I.E. Dallas Green Bay game where the Cowboy defense got smoked by Shanahan protege, Matt LaFleur.

Pete spent far too much time on the sidelines holding pompoms rather than coaching. If he had brought even one iota of discipline he would most likely still be the coach. Seattle was always sloppy, always penalized, and some of their players like DK Metcalf took advantage of Pete's very weak backbone.

Dan Schneider should have been fired along with Pete. It makes absolutely no sense to blame Pete Carroll entirely for the teams poor performance this year when the two of them built this team together, if one had to go the other should have been fired too.
Schneider is the Benedict Arnold that still remains? Sounds like Ms. Allen has her boy and she probably made Schneider tell Pete that he was fired.
Thats right Dan Schneider, you threw Pete under the bus and you're an asshole!
I don't think Vrable is a better coach than Pete Carroll and I don't think Dan Quinn is either, I honestly think we should have kept Pete and fired Schneider. This crap that Pete is too old is all bullshit, nobody ever said that about Vince Lombardi, Bud Grant, Paul Brown or George Halas and those guys built the league.
