    Masters Nuts and Bolts of Sales and Estimating and our instructor March Taylor authored the concept of “The Gap” after 1998.
    We have continued to teach this fact to this day.

    Not sure about other areas but some insurance such as Allstate in CA will not pay feather prime and block directly. Their suggestion is to include the time in body repair labor. So, instead of 4.0 hours repair you’d write 4.5 hours repair on the panel. The 0.5 may need to be applied to a separate tech. Then again, I’ve had Allstate constantly wanting to audit airbag system diagnosis, adjacent panel repair/refinish from welding, coolant pressure testing, and more. These videos are helpful to empower body shops to know what they need to be charging, and especially how they need to be educating insurance as to why that charge is necessary.
