      get a wireless mouse, then you can clean the ball screws alone.

    • @SmokeysCNCWoodworks
      @SmokeysCNCWoodworks  3 года назад

      Yes I could do that I have a wireless, just not able to see where the pointer is at on the screen, and there are several buttons that could mess some stuff up if I pushed em........I'm designing a CNC cut for the next video.....

    Your CNC should be highly polished by now !!
    Good to see you back in the workshop, even if it's just spring cleaning the hardware.solo cleaning the ball screw, create a little G-Code script to tram your Y axis back & forward few times at a fairly slow speed. Will allow you to get to the side with t-shirt & deep clean the threads.

    Hey bud have you seen the Xbox controller app for vcarve to use the controller as a pendant remote. I use the controller on my cnc because I too am out in the shop alone and that allows me to move around the whole table.

    • @codymiller2940
      @codymiller2940 3 года назад +1

      I've heard of that. How hard was it to setup? Might have to set it up in the future.

      @@codymiller2940 it was not bad at all after getting the controller it only took me 30 to 45 min to set it up.

    Couple questions, do you use treated or untreated wood? If you use untreated, are you just throwing the sawdust away? If you are throwing it out, would you be interested in selling it? Thanks in advance for these answers
    Glad to see a new video from you, btw lol
    Godspeed!

    • @SmokeysCNCWoodworks
      @SmokeysCNCWoodworks  3 года назад

      I use untreated and then paint and poly....Lol you can have it...The vacuum may have other trash in it however.....Thanks for watching!!

    What is the thickest material you can route? What is the maximum depth of cut? If you have explained this before I apologize.

    • @SmokeysCNCWoodworks
      @SmokeysCNCWoodworks  3 года назад +1

      Theoretically 7", the deepest i have done is around 3/4"...doing 7 inches would be a very lengthy cut, meaning hours of cutting....Thanks for watching
