Masterclass at Beauforthuis Austerlitz, Netherlands 2003. Brad shows some great harmonic options for the turnaround on my composition "Green Bean" thijsenspeelt.nl/
Lol how he demonstrated playing the tune purely with his left hand to him. (However, he's smart since it gives less for the student to focus on, and Brad manages to nevertheless get the point with it... with only one hand.)
So cool !! I think Bert Van den Brinck was involved in the organization of this Master Class ?? I had the Audio of this lessons, thank u x sharing it !
Do have a lead sheet to that tune? It's beautiful. I could probably utilize the changes by transcribing off the recording, but (though I am not a professional) would like to properly attribute as well.
The cool part brad plays at the end (the turn around from 8:10 on i think) goes C maj 7. B 7 # 9. E m 9 or em7. Db m7b5. Then when he raises the note in his right hand from G to Ab he plays E major/ C. F# minor 9/B. E major. Db m7 Haven’t figured out the rest.
Gold for any musician
It would be so awesome if he did a masterclass series online :D I was just wishing for that the other day and then found this--thanks for posting!
