- Mud season in Maine is on the door step. Scott is trying to wrap up his logging job before mud season arrives, and with temps above freezing all week it wont be long. Enjoy the sights and sounds of working in the woods, especially the local deer herd. If you enjoy logging, seeing the forest in action, and wildlife all around, this will be a treat for you!

Nice to see there are still young fellas willing to work for a living, love the deer.
The “Stump Lickah’s” are out in full force, going after the cedar bark, at that time of year!!! Unless you have some crab apple trees down back, but usually those are stripped pretty bare by the end of January!!! Your accent’s a little thin for being a “DownEastah”, but it’s nice to hear on RUclips!!! Hi from Central Maine, Scott and Family!!!
Stopping to watch the deer was cool as hell yeah it’s cool to watch that very cool
I couldn't help but think of Zip Ties N Bias Plies during your ether tutorial. Subscribed 👌🏼
Cesar 🧔🏻🌨️🌨️
please keep the videos coming!!! can't get enough.
That was a pretty slick limbing job bro but I dont think the deer were too impressed, thanks for sharing your story it's pretty cool what you do.
Great video. First time watching. Pretty cool limbing trick.
I love the videos I love watching the deer I just wish I could see the all in November keep up the good work
haha yeah its funny how they can all vanish come hunting season!
@@mccormickfamilyfarm5511 it's like that know we are all coming for them
Your trees are toothpicks compared to our Pacific Northwest timber!
Pretty darn cool! What a smart nephew you are!
I log part time and have a Clark 666c, my last couple woodlots have been spruce/fir jobs. In the past I’ve ran the chains and blade up and down the trees but your “limbing gate” trick works better. I’ve been doing it last few times I’ve been to the woodlot. Keep making videos and stay safe cutting!
sorry for the late reply but im glad the limbing gate trick has worked out for you! Sure is a time saver
We call it a (Bumpah’ Tree) then cut it last, on your way out when your done that section of the stand!!!
Best of luck to you. Mud season is coming fast. My driveway is getting nasty. You always have such a great selection music for your videos as well. The deer add to your videos. The twenty minute video seems to work well also. RUclips rewards watch time. The longer you can keep people watching the more RUclips will send people your way.
No fancy machines, well i saw one fancy. The Husqvarna invented in my country Sweden. :)
Great video! Keep up the awesome work!
I like the smell of fresh ✂ fir in the winter. 👍
Oh yeah nothing better!
I just love watching the deer. The one sitting was so beautiful! Do you ever see predators come after the deer?
They are peaceful to watch, and no I never have but it certainly happens! Coyotes and bobcats are pretty much their main predators up here.
We see deer all the time while cutting and skidding. We cut mostly hardwoods herein Pa. I have cut a tree down and had deer walk to the top and eat the buds while I sit on the stump and watch
Those are the best days
Where are all the Maine moose at? Your state has the most moose in the lower 48. My state of Idaho has 2nd most, the most of lower 48 moose.
How many cows do you have?
Where does the fir go
Great video. Glad I subscribed! Maine eh, you guys aren’t to far from me
We are glad you did too! Are you in Canada?
McCormick Family Farm yes, from Ontario Canada near Campbellford,ON 😀😄
Do you hunt?
I sure do!
Does the limbing technique work ok in the summer/fall months
no it doesnt unfortunately
And hard wood logs where
Do you use that saw to carve your Thanksgiving Tukey?
Sure do, and our shaved steak haha
It looks like that Skidder could have used some Rustoleum a while back! 🥴
Happens every day where I work
