    I am a big fan of iron utensils. I buy a lot of iron pan, kadais. After washing and drying I coat with oil and keep them. Always we need to use iron kadais so that they won't rust. Thanks for the detailed tips amma

      Very correct. After washing it is good to give a coating of oil. Cast iron pans and woks require seasoning in the beginning , As it is porus it does not require oil smear every time.

    Good. Iron thava, Hindolium tava how to make it user's comfort. Very useful. I have one doubt of how to clean mud vessels after cooking. Because I was cleaned and making kuzhambu, it has 'sikku' smelling. How to make clean it friend?.

My iron dosa tawa is burning a lot in the middle only can u help me by advising whether this same process works for my tava for even dosa burning

    One simple way.can wash dosa tawa every time or weekly once.then give tadka with oil nd mustard.nd throw it.rub it with onion.now ur dosa tawais ready to make dosa.can use small frok to hold onion.

    Thanks i usually take a little wet mud and spread it around the iron tawa or chatti and then use regular dish washing soap and clean. For the tawa input it on the ground, stand on the tawa and with the toes spread and clean with wed mud. The iron tawa looks like hindalium

    Apply caster oil ( 2 to 3 tsp )on the sticky dosa thava the dosa come out very well . Pour caster oil on and the around the first dosa ...and you can make the dosa as usual .. This is the easy method .

    Clay pot we normally put scraped coconut - take a thick milk & take the coconut flakes & roast in the clay pot & tame it & use the clay pot- idea from Srilanka.

    Mam,After seasoning the clay pot can we wash the mud pot with dish washing liquid after every use because I heard that the pot will have minute holes so liquid soap will stay in the holes & come into our dish the next time we make Kuzhambu Is this true

    Amazingly worked ! We had 2 big iron dosa tawas that gave same problems suddenly and the crystal salt scrubbing cleaned them up very well and they are back to their superb form.. Thank you madam ! ❤

    Hi Amma i used to season the iron tawa by fully applying 1/4tumbler of castor oil and leave it for arround one week.after one week it came out very well

    Amma nan black color mud pot vangi use panitu irukane .after use nan dishwasher potu wash pani vachalum, adhula irunthu oru mari oil smell vanthuteye iruku amma.even nan use panatium oru mari oil smell varudhu..please ma edhavathu tips kudunga..enaku mudpotla cook pana rombha pudikum

    Very usefull Tips amma!Thank you.i have a doubt about mansatti.plz kindly clarify amma.i bought new mansatti one month before.As u said I did all the steps but little bitterness is thr when I cook in that pot amma.y it is like that????plz clarify my doubt Amma bcz I bought it to cook regularly in tat for my 2years old baby.

      Normally it shouldn't happen. Try boiling water for 1or 2 days then try cooking.

    Madam very useful video Thank you very much .I bought one small mud pot.But there is no Mann(mud) vasanai.I saw in what's app some spurious mud pots are sold.How to find out whether it is genuine one and good for cooking.

      Do not buy red oxide coated pots.Not necessary to have man vaasanai as it could be done and stored long before.

      After using it for making curd you will find a white coating even after washing. Use normal cleaning soap.
