I am a big fan of iron utensils. I buy a lot of iron pan, kadais. After washing and drying I coat with oil and keep them. Always we need to use iron kadais so that they won't rust. Thanks for the detailed tips amma
Very correct. After washing it is good to give a coating of oil. Cast iron pans and woks require seasoning in the beginning , As it is porus it does not require oil smear every time.

One simple way.can wash dosa tawa every time or weekly once.then give tadka with oil nd mustard.nd throw it.rub it with onion.now ur dosa tawais ready to make dosa.can use small frok to hold onion.
Thanks i usually take a little wet mud and spread it around the iron tawa or chatti and then use regular dish washing soap and clean. For the tawa input it on the ground, stand on the tawa and with the toes spread and clean with wed mud. The iron tawa looks like hindalium
Apply caster oil ( 2 to 3 tsp )on the sticky dosa thava the dosa come out very well . Pour caster oil on and the around the first dosa ...and you can make the dosa as usual .. This is the easy method .
Clay pot we normally put scraped coconut - take a thick milk & take the coconut flakes & roast in the clay pot & tame it & use the clay pot- idea from Srilanka.

Normally it shouldn't happen. Try boiling water for 1or 2 days then try cooking.

After using it for making curd you will find a white coating even after washing. Use normal cleaning soap.
