just for future reference correct me if wrong, you roll for attacker and defender, winner is attacker attacker deploys first roll for first turn, the winner has the first turn
The winner of the first roll off gets to choose who is the attacker and who is the defender. Defender then gets to choose sides and deploys first. Then you have a straight roll for who gets to go first.
Are the rules from the 9th edition codexes not valid anymore? Someone told me the only rules armies get to use are the few you find in the indexes. If this is true doesn't that mean that a ton of rules and abilities from the 9th codexes are no more?
Y'all really need to look at your knight stuff again, im not seeing 'a reroll of 1 to hit and wound' its not singular or rapid fire range of your stubbers or using the shieldbreaker missiles every turn. But it is crazy to see even with less efficiency that they decimate.
Anyone notice the loaded dice. Call me me out for this but how can you roll so many sixes one after the other. The odds are staggering. I think the Imperial Knights had a huge helping hand.
@@cooptastrofie to be fair I rolled 5 out of 6 dice, 6's last night all gaining sustained fire too. Ive been out of the game for a while. I forgot about the way of the dice 😅

Knights are not broken. It's the terrain people play with. Everything on that table is a ruin. Use some actual impassable buildings that completely block LOS instead of all ruins. This table literally have one type of terrain on it. People want to use all ruins still with 9th edition army lists.
the problem is that not all battles are going to have terrain everywhere. Knights only being balanced on terrain-choked boards is rather poor balancing.
@@johnj.spurgin7037 You obviously either didn't read or didn't understand my comment. I said gamers need to switch up terrain. My tables have three or four impassable buildings that completely block LOS towering doesn't ignore that. Obscuring as it was last edition was a very negative play experience. Infantry could see and shoot at your super heavies, and they couldn't do anything back. Not to mention they couldn't walk through the walls like infantry can so almost 30% of the board was off limits to them. The all ruins tables have to go away.
People who say drukhari are bad are NUTS, this army due to the free points per unit can literally bring to bear firepower for any foe with almost any unit. Like your opponent has to make mega saves on everything all the time. Granted their squishy but such is spoony space elf life.
knights on the other hand are just like giants and ogre maw in sigmar, they really should just be their own game mode. Its boring when everything in an army has toughness 10+ AND invulns.
Why is it that ruins can't be destroyed? If you think about it the units weapons are strong enough to bring down the ruins to just a pile of rubble and actually cause damage to units hiding inside. Why is this not a rule? Ruins are in effect better then fortifications in that they can't be ruined further. Seems lame that units can just hide in ruins and turtle a bunch of fire from huge cannons that can puncture dreadnought armor but not a stone half broken building?? Haven't played warhammer in many years thinking about getting back into it but turtling in buildings you can't destroy seems annoying. Please help explain
Great batrep, but again, PLEASE do a test film before to see if dice are LEGIBLE! those blood angel dice are useless and can't be read, meaning every shot of those rolling is a waste of everyone's time!

This game was over before the armies had even deployed. Some random drukhari vs knights is not a competitive game. Knights are just to skew. So Skari, arguably one of the best druhari in the world vs random knights player guy who walked in from the street, and Skari loses.

Just an FYI you should not have spent your command point the first-round to reroll the damage roll of 1 the castellon automatically rerolls a damage roll of one if you are shooting into a vehicle or Monster. The harlequins prove yet again to be a tough out for any army, even when they're supposed to be your allies.
The Castellon gets to reroll damage rolls of 1 against vehicles and monsters.
This, the Castellan re-rolls naturally ranged damage rolls of 1 against vehicles and monsters.

The way you describe it Matt is how it’s detailed in the rule book. The GT cards change that to basically be how we did it in 9th Ed
Would be better if there was more terrain that allows hiding from knight shooting.
