Sad but true: They DIDN'T care enough to bury the bodies. If the choices are:
1.) Vernestra actress, Rebecca Henderson get's to provide yet another wooden, but payday/career moment-inducing acting moment where she can valiantly look into camera right and say, "Prepare the bodies for burial..."
2.) No one cared to want to do anything with the bodies of the 8+ dead Jedi/Padawans. Someone in the creative process watches the tape where Vernestra walks off set in a complete uncaring fashion to a gawking Personal Assistant Male Jedi Secretary watching and says "we should likely have Vernstra say something about collecting the bodies" - and they ADR it after the fact.
If presented with the options, an actress would NEVER pick 2.
The only reason that 2 was used, is because it wasn't originally there.
The other pieces of uncaring showcase is that - SOL, would just LEAVE THE BODIES/SABERs etc un-investigated, and leave?
    Trash-writing and a clear sense of no-one-gives-a-shit.

I actually didn't notice the ADR'd line until after someone else pointed out but once it's been pointed out you can CLEARLY tell that the burying the bodies line is recorded on a different mic.

Disney+ Bonus Content Idea: How about Disney conjures a series of shorts, where we can see the many ways that everyone's favorite giant beaver/ferret/muskrat/squirrel/prairie dog, Bazil, uses minimal language skills miming techniques to tell him - that "Osha*" is really Mae?
THAT's something I'd be glad to be giving my subscription for.

Getting to His Ship: Apparently you've forgotten - he can also LEVITATE. Check episode 4 where he descends from "above" behind Osha at the Battle of Kenacca's Stew.

Osha's Lightsaber Wielding Abilities: They suck because she FAILED AS A JEDI. ;) If she can't even get threatening someone with it appropriately, can you imagine any training session with her? Ugh.

I would guess the Bug was not edited out, but not yet finished when they released the trailer.
And i completely HATE these super thick damn lightsaber clubs. They are not animated, but real plastick tube thingies that can be used to hit each other. That is why they are so thick.
It would be awesome if they would redo them in post, to make them slim, has Obi-Wans and Vaders lightsaber in episode 4. Or in Rebels. That was great. But these big halogen lighttubes are insanely ugly. This definately looks more clumbsy instead of elegant "and precise" as Obi-Wan describes it to Luke. I did an edit of Obi-Wan and Anakin in the horrible Obi-Wan show, man that training session looks way better with those thin sabers.
Good review, thanks. Yes, those elephant animals are totally in line with that Last Luke Jedi planet. Also normally a force user wouldn't need to swim, he could float. And since it seems super easy for that guy... barely an inconvenience.

I'd also add that - take a look at the HEADs of those new "cute animals that will surely be available inside the STAR WARS General Store at Disneyland: Now we know what Osha was gawking at, don't we? :)

The ship being faulty is the benefit of a syndrome in content creation called "#LuckyScript".
Y'see - things happen, because the script needs it to.
Each of The Acolyte scripts is SUPER #LuckyScript-filled.

Jecki's Age: Not only is Jecki's age in question, we can't even use the whole "she's of a different species" ticket because if she was MUCH older, then she'd have been too old to complete the training.

Animating Lightsabers: With possibly the exception of "making them appear" and "disappear", and then some flair when they strike or are skewering someone, they're using lightsabers that likely don't need ANY animation of any kind. it's one of the benefits of the new-fangled, high-tech, easily acquired lightsabers that are likely used for ALL of these shows at this point.
Wanna' save some money for those who are incrediblky budget-centric? Simply have the sound occur while on the shot of Darth Joker, then back to Osha with it fully "engorged" after putting the blade into the hilt of the saber.
I hate that things are this simple, but - they really are.

    You'll love this one:
I've always HATED the word "Cortosis" - that is since I heard it mentioned from some STAR WARS Lore Specialists after episode 5 was issued - since the Writer's couldn't be bothered to write in a couple of lines in anywhere in the previous 4 episodes.
You may as well call the material inside the helmet/gauntlet/whatever else Vegemite. Just a terrible selection but - it's deep-canon, sure.
    That being said:
"The suffix -osis is used in nouns to denote actions, conditions, or states1. It is used to indicate a condition, status, process, whether normal or diseased, or sometimes an increase"...
If now Darth Joker and Osha are "courting" then Cortosis fits their paradigm PERFECTLY.

A stupider movie trope, that this show does REGULARLY is:
The last time Sol saw Darth Joker, he was being attacked/eaten by/carried off into the sky by giant moths (who apparently - eat human flesh? Right.) That's it. The reason? He too was stun gun'd by Mae on the planet's surface.
He has NO IDEA that anything other than what he saw happened has happened.
Mae surely wouldn't tell her (as Osha) that he's still alive. What's the benefit of that and better yet - she doesn't know either.
Magically, because the AUDIENCE has seen that Darth Joker is still alive, suddenly Sol ALSO knows that he's alive and that he must be hunted and found.
It's just more grand showcase of the creator, writer(s) and the people that greenlight this tripe clearly DO NOT CARE about what's shoveled out in the Content Assembly Line of Disney+.

I hate to break it to you, but you're correct on both fronts:
1.) Vernestra's actress, Rebecca Henderson, creator Leslye Headland's wife, is a TERRIBLE ACTRESS. If substantially searched, not only would knots be found, but when sawed in half magician-style, you could be able to clearly detect how many years she's been inflicting audiences with her performances.
2.) Vernestra IS the Big Bad. The reasons are many but - like Darth Joker's "reveal" - there just aren't any characters left because THEY'VE ALL BEEN KILLED in the first 1/2 of the series.
Just dumb, dead-end, collect a paycheck and creator/writing/acting credits all the way 'round. Terrible.

7-8 Jedi are dead plus 2 Jedi masters, let's go investigate with 4 Jedi (originally 3). I guess this Padawan is even tougher than Jecki. He hides it so well he's probably a match for a Sith Master. Maybe Sol talks about Osha's relationship with Pip to hint he has noticed the glaring two red bars that indicate he has been erased. Something only Mae would need to do to hide her identity. Why she goes to the coms is anyone's guess (door dash is my guess). It was my understanding that Padawan are not considered true Jedi, they are just students? So Osha was never a Jedi and doesn't qualify as a 'Jedi being seduced to the dark side' but I feel like someone is going to say this before this dumpster fire fades into oblivion.

This show (if you can even call it that) is the trashiest most abysmal failure I've ever witnessed.
Horrible writing, shameful ridiculous looking light sabers and the girl that plays osha/mae cant act worth a 💩.......
WOKE PROPAGANDA with lesbian space witches is the best description!😂
And one more thing has anyone else noticed how stupid the lightsaber hilts look? Is it just more or do they look super thick and plasticky?

    • @2GuysTalkingPodcastNetwork
      @2GuysTalkingPodcastNetwork 4 месяца назад

The reason that they look "plasicky" is because they're using real, in-camera props that feature their own illumination. Even Yord (I would type RIP if we were given any chance to know him, shrug) uses one as a FRIGGIN LANTERN.
Just bananas-bad writing that doesn't deserve a showcase on the Hallmark Channel much less Disney+ in a STAR WARS-based catalog.

Some of the stuff you say is nitpicking but I agree with most of it

    • @2GuysTalkingPodcastNetwork
      @2GuysTalkingPodcastNetwork 4 месяца назад

Nitpicking would assume that there's a larger collective achievement at the END of all of this that's being overlooked and - I know I'm not breaking any new ground - but there isn't anything at the end of this rainbow, and certainly nothing gold.
I tire quickly of people stating that "it's just a little thing" when referring to something that's just completely non-sensical.
      My favorite sample is:
Mae is a confirmed, trained, seasoned, dark-force/thread-powered Assassin, who not only kills Jedi, but has now done it twice - once in public.
The INSTANT she finds out that everyone's favorite giant beaver/ferret/muskrat/squirrel/prairie dog, Bazil, knew that HE knew that she wasn't Osha - she would/should have:
1.) Slit his throat with one of her many daggers
2.) Hid the body in any of the plenty of dark hiding spaces/hidey-holes in the ship
To paint her in any other light (and especially NOT the sample of what happened here that was at-best, Nickelodean-like circus-music-featured tripe) is not only disingenuous, but LAZY for a program that's spending this much money for so little time/content provided.
It's terrible, it's "small" sure - but when you start stacking on "the small things" it's eventually overbearing and instantly snaps the viewer out of the interest cone of wanting to take in the content.
