I noticed the change in the cover art yesterday. Can't believe it was because you asked, well done, I didn't know it was AI. The game is quite entertaining
I'm very surprised that it was AI. I guess the "art style" really helped mask the usual visual defects that I pride myself at being able to pick up on.
Good video. If you do choose to return to Talented, there are a couple of things in the video that are worth mentioning which won't spoil anything. 1) There *is* an Endless mode. In fact there are two: one where you keep playing the game normally until you lose (and believe me, it won't go on forever) and one where you fight a single rapidly accelerating wave until you die. 2) Maximum orb count is 50. You actually get a tooltip for this on the Stats tab if you mouse over it, and it also shows how much damage your orbs do. 3) On the subject of damage done, you many have noticed that there's an option to turn on damage numbers. This is worth doing; they're not too intrusive, but more importantly they show critical hits. 4) You're underrating Elemental Helpers. In addition to hitting an enemy they also apply a status effect, which as you've seen can interact with other abilities to boost your damage. Even without that they can still apply Frostbite to slow them, Burning to apply damage over time, and Shocking to stun them in place. 5) Do not sleep on Legendary Abilities. They cost 5 points, but they are all extremely powerful and will define your build. Every time I see one, I path towards it at the exclusion of almost anything else.
Been a fan of this one since very early in development. It has come sooo far and the developers have implemented so much neat stuff... and it was already super fun to begin with! Love to see this game getting some of the love and recognition it deserves~
i bought this after watching you play. there are some really busted talents and i know that's your jam so i wouldn't be surprised if another video popped up. the summoner and their snails is my favorite class so far.
FYI if you press C during a run it will a stats window in the bottom corner that helps the viewer experience a lot. Gotta do it once per run during a combat phase.
I love that this game has no real movement and instead focuses on crazy builds. Lots more content with endless mode and challenges as well. There is an auto-fire in the options along with some other nice settings. At only 4 USD this is a nice game to add to the library.
I love this game, I got it in the middle of OSRS leagues that ends on the 22nd, and if it wasn't for that I'd be playing a bunch more. I'm having fun with the last unlockable class, which I don't want to spoil, just that the second last class unlocked is hard to learn, but rewarding, and the last one takes that up to 11.
The game does have an endless mode (unlocked at some mastery level, there's even two different flavors of endless you can chose between) but there were some... performance issues that have supposedly been fixed since I last played, but overall, there's a fair amount of build crafting and player agency
tbh i feel like with all the AI art going around, developers should ask for a very low quality recording of the artist making the art they are going to give the developer. As whilst trust is important, a low resolution recording wouldn't hurt
i don't even think a recording is necessary, most of the time. Just a screenshot or two of the earlier sketches, in the art program, should be sufficient in most cases.
Yes finaly playing this i love this game and if your like me your gonna love the challenges for this game especialy the mini games that are fully on the tree
At 30:00 it seemed like the percussive sound made when you fire was synchronizing with the fast rhythm of the dramatic fast music. It’s too bad that probably wasn’t intentional, as it sounded really cool, but it fell out of sync again.
@agklimovich3 Well not liking the trend of it. I'm a person who enjoys people's hard work and AI is others hard work being reused to create work by a program. Mostly I dislike how the AI can without any payment use someone's work. Yes sometimes art is sold to someone else but the owner of the AI aren't the buyers, it's normally someone who it was made for and AI can "legally" use art that's not in the hands of the artist anymore from what I remember in a court case involving the subject though I could be wrong
Please do a nicely presented video of your live stream (if you do it). If you give even a bit of effort to presentation I'll happily watch 3+ hours of you playing this game.
i'm glad knowing you're against generative AI. far too many people online using it and ignoring the theft + high electricity usage for soulless garbage
Most current forms of AI art got their style by scraping artists in mass without permission. Some of the larger firms also tend to use a lot of energy and water. As a general rule unless the developer can give you recites that every piece of art they used for their project was developed in house there's a good chance the bot stole someone's style. I've only seen two cases was AI was done ethically and in both cases they build up their AI's art base from scratch. Way more expensive than you'd be willing to do for just a cover art.
The sphere grid system from ff10 was the only part of ff10 that was good. I loved ff10 but I hated having to get to the good bit that took several hours. The jecht shot was absurdly strong but so annoying.
Game creation is a complex process, and AI should be seen as a tool to assist artists, not as a shortcut to replace them. The conversation around AI art shouldn’t just boil down to "AI is bad, end of story." For small creators, it’s perfectly valid to use AI if other options are financially out of reach. The more important question is: How is AI being implemented and used? If we fail to critically examine this, we won’t improve or address the real issues. AI is here to stay, and its presence will only grow. By encouraging responsible and thoughtful practices in AI usage, rather than outright rejecting it, we have the chance to create a balanced and ethical approach. If we foster an environment that values quality-both in traditional and AI-generated art-we can set standards that promote innovation and good behavior. However, if we simply reject AI or fail to demand high-quality results, we risk being flooded with uninspired, low-effort content. In such a scenario, decisions around AI will likely become purely business-driven rather than artistically motivated. It’s up to us, as creators and consumers, to shape this space in a way that respects artistry, creativity, and ethical practices. Expecting and supporting good art, whether AI-assisted or not, is the first step in making AI a tool that elevates rather than undermines creative industries. And rather than don't pay artist fairly we at least could accept that cheap Ai can be a solution for development stages, at least get real artist when you make money from the game if you desire art by humans.
Nah screw that. Current AI models were made by scraping people's work, so I have ZERO interest in supporting the use of it. If it was something like the Spiderverse inking tool, sure. But full on generative AI has no place in creation.
I understand your struggle as a content creator with generative ai. But at the same time your statement is like saying "I don't read printed books because books should actually be hand written in a time consuming and costly manor to preserve jobs"
Thinking on it further: I would not read a book printed by a publisher who used legal trickery, subterfuge, or force to steal an author's work while passing it off on their own.
@@wanderbots The theft argument has a limited lifespan. We're reaching a point when models trained on public domain art will be just as competent as broadly trained models. The main difference is that public domain trained models have different styles. But, we can use their foundational understanding to finetune in styles they don't understand using fairly small sets of consensually given art. In the end, the theft argument will become moot. The real argument to be made is in how they are used, not how they are trained.
The difference between printed books and generative AI, is that an artist still put the same amount of creativity into creating the book that was printed for better distribution, whereas no creativity goes into using generative AI, and everything that is produced is done so on the backs of other people's creativity that was taken without their permission.
I noticed the change in the cover art yesterday. Can't believe it was because you asked, well done, I didn't know it was AI. The game is quite entertaining
I saw it change and thought "huh they changed it, I wonder why".
Wasn't expecting the reason was they got something made by GenAI unknowingly.
I'm very surprised that it was AI.
I guess the "art style" really helped mask the usual visual defects that I pride myself at being able to pick up on.
As someone who specifically recommended this game, I'm glad that the Devs were upfront and corrected the AI issue.
Glad to see you play this, I picked the game up myself at 1.0 and the cost per enjoyment of this little gem is insanely good.

I can't believe Wander doubted the power of The Orb as a wizard, all good wizards must ponder The Orb for limitless power! All praise The Orb!
Wanderbot, changing the course of history.

I've been waiting for this for a while now, love the game.
Shrink ray + gumball = more enemies>more attack speed
the first three acts of poe2 definitely feel like a soulslike, it just devolves into a bullet heaven in lategame
I love that this game has no real movement and instead focuses on crazy builds. Lots more content with endless mode and challenges as well. There is an auto-fire in the options along with some other nice settings. At only 4 USD this is a nice game to add to the library.
Love this game... definitely continue with it if you like it. It gets kinda wild😂
I would love to see more of this game, I'm definitely going to get it myself

I love this game, for me it was a hidden gem.
The music made my tongue numb. Game purchased.

@@altrivotzck6565 Yeah screenshots also work. But OBS is funnier
I can barely tell this is a robot!! Wow 😮
I hope so much that you play this alot more because you just scrachet the surface
Yes finaly playing this i love this game and if your like me your gonna love the challenges for this game especialy the mini games that are fully on the tree
That seed mystery talents not mastery. :P
You can enable auto fire in settings, I think. Helps with some classes, though not with others.
At 30:00 it seemed like the percussive sound made when you fire was synchronizing with the fast rhythm of the dramatic fast music. It’s too bad that probably wasn’t intentional, as it sounded really cool, but it fell out of sync again.
I think you'd love Hi-Fi Rush.
I understand the AI thing, I'm in the same boat as you
You mean you both don't understand the AI thing?

misreading mystery as mastery was so funny the more he repeated it.
yeah, I was disappointed when he ended the run before encountering any...
3:36 perhapse you should take a look at Salt and Sanctuary
This game is extra fun on 2x speed!
Pleas do more of this. Now!
Please do a nicely presented video of your live stream (if you do it). If you give even a bit of effort to presentation I'll happily watch 3+ hours of you playing this game.
Nice
Auto fire is in the options.
i'm glad knowing you're against generative AI. far too many people online using it and ignoring the theft + high electricity usage for soulless garbage
I love this game so much. So simple but engaging
Amplitude studios is releasing Endless Legend 2! official announcement on the 23rd Jan 😮
Heck yeah. I can't wait to see how it turns out
I appreciate the stance on AI
What's wrong with AI gen art?
Search it up.

This kind of reads to me as cadence and paragraph structure of chatgpt.
The music is terrible. The game is....interesting..
I understand your struggle as a content creator with generative ai. But at the same time your statement is like saying "I don't read printed books because books should actually be hand written in a time consuming and costly manor to preserve jobs"
Nah. The printed books would have to be stolen for your example to work in this case.
Thinking on it further: I would not read a book printed by a publisher who used legal trickery, subterfuge, or force to steal an author's work while passing it off on their own.
